What is your least favorite part of treatment?
i think for me, the part i hate about treatment the most is the fact that some things are just really hard to put into words...either cuz u cant figure out in your mind exactly what you are trying to say or cuz the topic is hard to talk about...it gets so stressful trying to get it out and get it explained the way you mean it...another thing is the fact that you can never be assured that the dr you have that you know understands you and is helping you, will stay around to continue the treatment and if they dont, you have to go through the whole thing from the begining again

Several things...I don't trust anyone except my boyfriend...I really don't like to talk about my problems...it comes more naturally to lie than to tell the truth...I don't even know exactly what's wrong with me so I can't really explain it to someone else...I honestly don't think the guy understands me at all

Assessment. I hate it with a passion. Being expected to spill out everything to a complete stranger who's sitting there, taking notes and analysing everything you say. Some of its just stupid too. I don't know if anyone else had found this but some of the questions I've asked are just bizarre. "I have 100 pounds and spend 7, how much do I have" for example. Apart from that probably discussing painful things, which probably applies to everyone in every situation and pointless homework.

Being told to try the same thing over and over again, when you're trying to do it and it isn't working.

Being hospitalized. I don't even want to go into it, but let's just say it was a less than pleasant experience the first time. My psychiatrist pretty much fooled me into it, saying it would just be "a few days" to get my meds on track.

I ended up stuck there for three weeks, and had to drop three of my classes because I was so far behind.

Side-effects, the psych. vists. The inability to just ******** be normal. I hate it when other people complain about their problems (the ones that know nothing of mine, anyways)...about how their boyfriend doesn't like them, or how they got in a fight with a friend, or blah blah blah...And I hate my psychiatrist. I'm currently on 5 different medications and am ok-ishly stable (I'm Bipolar), but I'm hoping that I'll be stable for a whlie...

Not liking your shrink, not liking your medication, side effects from both, weight fluxuation, having to plan things around your doctor visits, meds dosage adjustments in the fall and spring, feeling like a fricking DRONE on the outside, knowing the true you is buried deep inside wanting to bust through, but you are far too artificially apathetic to care, pill dependancy. That's about all I can think of right now. I'm sure I could list more.

Worst I think is always being asked "how are you feeling." "Are you hearing the voices now?"

Second the stupid "Groups" we have.

My least favorite part is being asked random questions and telling them everything. The lady will be talking to me and then out of the blue she'll ask me what day it is. She also goes down a list of things and checkes them off, one by one.

I don't really have a problem with side effects though. I've been taking the soem meds for almost six years now, so my body's adjusted to them, although I have to up my dose every few years....
