Hello!
I just wanted to ask you people about your favorite arcs. And don't just put the name for the arc... At least put a reason. Oh and no cussing out other people just because they like an arc that you completely hate.

What I've heard about Taraimawashi and Tsukiotoshi sounds interesting. Unfortunately, I still don't know all the details. Of the ones that have been animated, I really like the surreal feel of Watanagashi and Tatarigoroshi. I especially love the epilogue that was cut out for Tatarigoroshi. Has anyone else seen it?

Do you mean the part where Keiichi wakes and wanders around the abandoned Hinamizawa, or when Keiichi talks to the reporter about being able to wish people to die? By the way, in the general chatter section, under Higurashi Matsuri, are descriptions of those first two chapters. However, I guess I will post them on this subforum soon.

I was referring to the taped interview. I didn't know there was a part where he wandered around Hinamizawa. Is that in the game, manga, or both? I want to see! eek But yeah, I loved the interview. I almost started crying when I heard Keiichi laughing helplessly like that. crying

Kyaah! xd Let me guess - you own the game yourself, right? Lucky! I'm reliant on Youtube clips of it. And limited Japanese reading ability. You must be pretty good if you can read the original stuff. They don't pull punches on kanji.

Well, I can't read most of it; some things I can read, but most of the time, I just try to use logic to figure out what is going on. Does not always work, though.

*nodnod* I relate. Someone was feeling really generous and put everything from Onikakushi-hen up on Youtube, but I couldn't read a lot of the narration and still wound up using my knowledge of the anime to figure out what was going on verbally a lot of the time. Eh well. That just gives me more motivation to work harder in class! scream FEAR ME, SOUND NOVEL!!!! I WILL UNDERSTAND YOU YET!!!!!! ...In any case, Tatarigoroshi was totally awesome. Especially in manga - the anime made too many jumps around, and it felt like Keiichi was just like, "Oh s**t, we're two episodes in and no one's killed anyone yet. Guess I'll just go kill Satoko's uncle! 3nodding *goes off singing to himself*". The manga basically made everything flow better.

Hmm...I gotta say that Onikakushi-hen and Watanagashi-hen. Onikakushi because it's kind of intresting to see Keiichi's paranoia on his friends when they were just trying to make him feel better, and because I love the ending (although I like it better in the manga). Watanagashi...well because 1. We get a new character! 2. Because for some reason I liked it that it was Keiichi's fault for not giving Mion the doll...and because of that everything happened...and it's a bit more confusing than onikakushi...and I liked that xD
And where did you find the cut scene from Tatarigoroshi-hen?! And is the manga for that arc complete?

My favorite in the anime is Minagoroshi(believe it or not) and Matsuribayashi. The reason why I like Minagoroshi is because it's the point where the answer to who's behind everything. Reason for Matsuribabyashi is because it tells about why Takano wants to kill Rika and cause it's the world where they finally achieve victory.
For the game, I have to say Tsumihoroboshi and all of Rei arks(sorry to those who haven't played it >_<;; so I won't say anything ) Tsumihoroboshi was really awesome compared to how it was in the anime, (especially the fighting scene XD).

Maekashi-hen. It really did explain a lot,and it was probably the Arc that showed most feeling. At least that's what I thought.I even ordered a couple of volumes(Meaning manga) of this Arc because of how much I liked it.
