Here's the situation: Yesterday, after being without linux for a while, Firefox 2 on XP started crashing (And continued, after fresh FF2 installs.) I've switched back to ubuntu, and instead of running 7.10 like I was before, I've moved to 8.04. Problem is that my video card drivers seem damn near IMPOSSIBLE to install.
This is the quick info: Card: GeForce 7950 GT OS: Ubuntu 8.04 (Freshly installed an hour ago. NO updates done.) Kernel Release: 2.6.24-16-generic
Yesterday I tried many methods of getting the card to work, unsuccessfully. Can anyone point me in the right direction here?
================================
I got it all working using the recommended hardware drivers and some editing of xorg.conf. biggrin
