It was hard to believe that it was so long ago when Sendiri had met Ratanjali and brought their cubs home to a rather shocked Aiden. But time has a way of making Tokoros grow, and today was a very special day indeed. Sendiri felt a deep sadness somewhere as he looked over his girls. Kecilaku, practically a mirror image of her father and just as mischevious, and Wani, so much like her mother... They were grown up now.

"You're going to cry, aren't you."

"Don't ruin the mood, Aiden." Sendiri scoffed a little at his brother, and cuffed him on the head lightly. He looked at the girls again and smiled a little, shaking his head. "Look at you two." He said, moving over and hugging the both of them. "All grown up on us."

"Finally, now they can't climb all over me." Aiden, in his own way, was proud of the girls. His teasing was a way of showing that. They were all grown up now, and without too much of their father's influence. Well, mostly... He couldn't blame Sendiri for being sad like he knew he was, eventually the girls would want to move out and find boys of their own to have babies with.

Although why is anyone's guess...

Kecilaku smiled and hugged Sendiri and her sister. "You act like we're gonna up and leave, Daddy." Kecil mumbled into his fur, leaning back and looking at Wani. "I mean, eventually, sure, but..." She didn't want to break up the family for no good reason other then some elbow room. Admittedly, their tree was getting crowded, but that's what family was, wasn't it? Crowded and stinky in the hot weather. She didn't seem to understand why it was such a big deal that they were both grown up. It wasn't like it'd suddenly change how Kecilaku and Wani acted, would it?

Of course, Kecilaku hadn't been around any grown boys yet. Maybe that'd change her tune a little bit.

"We're not going anywhere,"
Wani promised, leaning half against her sister and half against her Dad. "Where would we go, anyway? You'd all just follow us." She was teasing. "And, we can still crawl over you, Aiden. Don't think we can't."

"Be nice," Ratanjali scolded her daughters. "And be gentle. You're not so little anymore. You could hurt him."

"You could." Aiden agreed, nodding quickly and ducking behind Ratanjali to hide.

"Of course you could. What with Aiden's frail old bones..." Sendiri grinned brilliantly at his brother, who scoffed and glowered at him.

"That makes you like, twice as old, since you're older then me." Aiden said, snorting at him and straightening up. Kecil grinned a little at her family's antics, and looked over at her mother.

"We're always nice to Uncle Aiden." She said, beaming. "We help him crack his back. And his neck and his tail and--"

"Kecil." Sendiri laughed a little and reached up, rubbing her hair out of place. Kecil yelped, and fumed, ducking away from Sendiri and fixing her hair.

"That was mean."

"It was funny." Sendiri countered, going over to Ratanjali and sitting beside her smugly. Kecil glowered.

"Daddy is old," Wani teased, twisting around to hug him around the neck. "Ancient, even, but we love him anyway." She laughed and pointed then. "Your fur's standing up like you got struck by lightning, Kecil." It wasn't, but she kept pointing anyway.

Ratanjali shook her head and leaned into Sendiri, tail looping across his back. "Aiden, if you want to dangle either of them off a branch, you have my permission," she said, amused.

"Hey!"

Sendiri blinked, and scoffed at Wani, rolling his eyes dramatically. "I am not old, little lady, I'll have you know I can swing with the best of those younger males." Sendiri grumbled a little, returning the embrace anyway. He wasn't old... He was in his prime! Sigh.

Kecil froze at Wani's pointing, staring at her owlishly, and then fumed. "No it's not!" She licked her paws, and started to smooth her fur down in every place she could reach. "You look like something that crawled out of the lake." She sniped, scowling a little.

Sendiri and Aiden both looked at each other and snickered. Bickering had been something they'd do to each other all the time. Aiden nodded at Ratanjali's suggestion, and moved as though he were going to scoop Wani up to dangle her outside off a branch. "With pleasure, Ratan." He said, grinning at Wani. He went to pick her up. "Outside we go!"

Kecilaku yelped, and bolted behind Ratanjali, laughing. "Have fun out there, Wani!"

"Is too," Wani insisted. "Straight up in little spikes and poofs. And I don't look like I crawled out of the lake because I'm dr--hey!"

Tossed across Aiden's shoulders, she wrapped her tail under his front leg and around his neck, hanging on for dear life. "Don't," she begged. "Don't dangle me, Uncle Aiden. You'll drop me and it's a long way down and I don't bounce!"

Ratanjali leaned and snickered, nose buried in Sendiri's fur. "Don't listen to her," she called after Aiden. "That one's been bouncing all her life."

"Oh I know it!" Aiden laughed, holding onto Wani while he carried her out onto a branch. "I had the bruises to prove it!" He started to try and pry Wani off so he could dangle her, grinning. "Come on, you've got dangling to do, little Miss."

Kecilaku snickered, leaning out of the hole to watch Wani and Aiden smugly. "Yeah! Dangling to do!" She echoed, laughing. And subconsciously flattening her fur again. It was not sticking up, she was just making up lies!

Sendiri grinned a little and wrapped an arm around Ratanjali, watching Kecil lean out and goad Aiden. He glanced down. "Hard to believe they're all grown up, huh." He muttered to Ratan, smiling a little. It was nice to know they'd helped their kids grow up. And they were for the most part without emotional scars! They were good parents!

"We managed," Ratanjali agreed. "No one got hurt or lost forever. I'm not sure I would have believed that we could do it if I wasn't me."

"No. Noooo!" She was playing more than she was really scared, but she wasn't making it easy for Aiden to unwrap her. "You like me best," she told him. "I'm your favorite niece. You can't dangle me! Dangle Kecil! She likes it!"

"I do not!" Kecilaku flailed, and snickered. "Go on, Uncle Aiden, do it! Do it do it do it!" She cheered him on, waving her arms at him. Aiden laughed, and hugged Wani, setting her down on the branch.

"I'm not gonna dangle you." He said, patting her on top of the head and starting to climb back into the tree. He stopped once he got passed Kecilaku, and eyed Ratanjali and Sendiri carefully. "... Should we give you two some alone time?" He asked dryly.

Sendiri looked up, and snorted at Aiden, rolling his eyes. He looked at Ratanjali, amused. "I think we should leave the girls with Aiden." He said, nodding solemnly. "It's been a while since he's had to babysit on his own."

"Hey! We're not babies!" Kecilaku scoffed at Sendiri, and crossed her arms, sitting down. "We're adults now. Full grown and very capable of taking care of ourselves." Sendiri grinned a little and rolled his eyes, nodding at Kecilaku.

"Fine, but who'll babysit Uncle Aiden?"

Aiden glared while Kecilaku laughed.

Once safely on the branch, Wani stuck her tongue out at her sister, then followed him back inside. "Told you he liked me best," she teased.

"Oh, I think that's a good idea," Ratanjali agreed. "Getting out of the den for a little while. It'll be good for everyone. More room to spread out, they can talk about us behind our backs..." Her eyes danced.

"You could take uncle Aiden with you. I can watch Kecil and she can watch me."

Sendiri laughed a little and nodded at Ratanjali, getting up and stretching out. "Well, what're we waiting for, love?" At the suggestion for Aiden to come, he glanced back, and eyed Aiden.

"I don't know..." His tail wrapped around Ratanjali. "I don't like sharing." He said dryly, smirking at Aiden. Aiden blinked, and under his fur, he blushed. Sendiri couldn't see it, but he seemed to know all the same. He snickered, and nodded to the girls. "If your mother thinks it's alright, we'll leave you two alone."

"Come on, Mom!" Kecil bounced in her spot. "We're grown up, we'll be okay on our own!"

Aiden grinned and looked at Ratanjali. "They should be okay. It's not like they're going to invite wild Tokoro into our home..." Aiden and Sendiri looked at each other, then looked at Kecilaku and Wani pointedly. "Right?"
PostPosted: Tue Jun 17, 2008 10:17 am

Ratanjali nudged Sendiri lightly. "Nobody said anything about sharing, you." A glance at Aiden and she added, "Adorable as you are." Then she looked at her daughters, pondered with an ear tipped a little sideways, and nodded. "They'll be all right. It'll be a good test. It'll be trouble if you can't behave," she told them.

"No wild Tokoro,"
Wani promised as innocently as she could. She couldn't look at Kecilaku because she'd snicker or something, and she didn't want to ruin their chance. "It'll be like we were asleep the whole time."

Sendiri grinned innocently and pressed his nose against Ratanjali's lightly, then stepped back and wandered towards the opening out into the forest. He looked back, smiling a little, and eyed the girls. "And if we do come back and there're wild Toks..." He warned slowly, eyes pointedly on Kecilaku. While Wani could go along with a plan, Kecil, he'd noticed, was the one who'd initiate them whenever she thought she could get away with it.

Kecil nodded quickly. "We know, we know. Grounded for life, never leave this treetop again, we got it!" She flailed at them. "Go on, then, we'll be fiiiiine."

Aiden nodded a little at the girls, and moved past Sendiri, going outside to wait on a branch. "Well, lets leave them alone, guys." He said, grinning a little. "They have to be tested sometime on how responsible they are."

"I will sit on Kecil, I promise." She started crawling on her sister even now, ducking the flailing as best she could. "Bye! Go sit at the top of a tree! It sways. It's really romantic! ...Not that I'd know!"

Ratanjali kept her laughter down as much as she can until they'd moved away from the den opening, so the girls wouldn't hear her when she finally gave in. "The minute we're out of sight, I expect to see them both scrambling out the door. We should have tied some rattling leaves to their tails."

"We should have." Despite how carefree and fun-loving Sendiri was, he couldn't help but be concerned for his kids. "I hope they don't get into any trouble..." He muttered, walking with Ratanjali.

Aiden snorted, following just behind them. "Oh, they'll be fine." Aiden promised, catching up and nudging Sendiri with a grin. "What's the worse they could do that you haven't done?" He smirked at him. Sendiri snorted, grinning a little in spite of himself, and shrugged.

"I hope they don't do half the stuff I did. He said boastfully, laughing. "Although I can't tell if I'd be proud of them for pullin' it off or upset at them for tryin'."

Once the older adults were gone, Kecilaku scoffed and wiggled out from under her sister. "You weigh a lot. Like... a lot a lot." She said, brushing herself off and smirking at Wani. "So... What do you wanna do?" She grinned, bouncing in her spot excitedly. They were grown up now, they could do whatever they wanted! This was so cool!
