Kuro carefully knocks on the door to the mayors office, not quite sure if he'd be there or not at this time. She'd glance back at Kio as she'd wait for a response.
"Don't worry, he's a really nice guy. Even if he says no to you taking it over right now, I'm sure he'll find something for you to do till he's sure you're ready. She was still dressed in her uniform from the inn. She'd impatiently tap her foot as she'd wait for the mayor.

Kuro would smile and shake his hand. She'd walk over to his desk and sit down, carefully running her hands under her thighs as she does. "It's a pleasure to see you Mayor Fireheart." She'd say with a broad smile as she would lean her elbows onto his desk.
"The inn, is fine, we have those lovely visitors we always get in the spring... you know... the Spencers. They're... charming as always." She'd say with a slight laugh.
"Eitan's fine too. We're doing pretty well this year, lots of honeymooning couples coming through to 'get away from it all.' Granted they always complain about a lack of places to go once they're here.... and that, My dear mayor, would be what brings my friend and I here today."
"This would be Kio, he's from a whiles away from here and is thinking about staying in our little village. He wants to be a chef at a restaurant... and we have that old beach-cafe... and I'm sure theres another building or two that could be suited for such a thing. Perhaps Kio could take over one of them. He's already shown some cooking skill. " She'd say with a slight smile curling onto her lips.
"Think about it, a nice little cafe would do all of us good."

Dennis laughed heartily. "Ah yes, the Spencers. Jolly good, Ill make a note not to visit for a few days, if you don't mind Kuro." He laughed once more, before grasping Kio's hand and shaking it.
"Pleasure to meet you Kio."
He grabbed a few files from inside a desk drawer, flicking through them for a moment.
"Well, guys, I am glad you came to see me. This is exactly what I have been waiting for. You see, I have just read applications, and resumes from city dwellers wanting to open up shop in town."
He sighed, before continuing on.
"As I am sure you can both appreciate, I want our town to be run by hard working locals. I know you know Tobias Knox, Kuro, the young farmer at Farblegone. I am going to strike a deal with him to supply his superb crops for the towns restaurant, but I have no owner or chef. I know the perfect place for a restaurant, Kio, if you don't mind starting big."

Kuro would smile.
"Yep! You better go get it together." She'd say and turn to leave. "You're still welcome to stay at the Inn until you have everything together okay?" She'd say and open the door and head out, presumably back for the inn.
She'd stop for a moment.
"And of course, this means we're competition now..." She'd say as a grin would come to her face.
"But I'll go easy on you." She'd say and shut the door behind her.

[Angel, try posting a little bit more please. If our characters had been speaking for a while, this would make some sense.]


blue]Dennis looked up at Roxana and smiled.
"I see you read my sign at the library. What are you trying to say my dear? Are you inquiring about the post of Librarian? It is still availiable."

"Thank you.. So much." Kio said, smiling to the Mayor. "Well, I must go.. Gotta get the preliminary check on the building." He began walking out the door. "Thanks again!"

Roxana smiled kindly.
"Don't worry, your not interrupting anything super important. We're just talking about my takeover as librarian. I'm Roxana Beaumont."
She got on her knees and walked over to the woman's daughter. She knew that kids liked it better if you were at eye level with them.
"What your and your mothers name miss?"
