Aeolus sat under the shade of a tree, flicking his ears trying to shoo the gnats away. It was hot, humid, and the suns rays beat down harder than a club, and here Aeolus was, stuck in the middle of a grass field with barely any other trees in sight. He frowned, he'd have to wait till nightfall to travel, there was no way he was going to take a risk being caught out here in the heat. He sighed and closed his eyes, hopefully he could just fall asleep even despite the unpleasant conditions. What a waste of my time... He scrunched his nose in disgust of everything, but immediately regretted it, the scabs on his face from a fox attack almost healed, but still itching every time he moved his face. Dammit...

 Theia padded happily among the lush green grass, the sun shining on her back. Her bright green eyes sparkled happily as she gazed across the landscape. The heat hardly bothered her aside from the fact that she was a bit too lazy to go bouncing around like crazy which is what she usually did. But on such a hot day, she felt it was too hot for that, so she looked around for shade. Then she spotted a big beech tree, and under it...was that a ulaya?
Her eyes widened happily as she recognized the navy blue ulaya with yellow butterfly markings on his face. She waggled her tail happily and ignoring the heat, she came bounding cheerfully toward him.
"AEOLUS!!!!!!!!!" She squealed happily as she stopped short of crashing into him.

Aeolus twitched his ears as he heard a familiar voice. Ugh, heat must be getting to me... Who did the voice belong to anyways? Wait... no. It couldn't be! Heat getting to him and making him think he's hearing voices was understandable but he'd never hear this voice by his own will! Before he could think any further he felt a presence come nearly crashing into him. Suppressing a little flinch of shock her merely opened his eyes and stared at her.
"...Tia was it? You've grown up." He said casually, trying not to spark anything in her, he didn't want the same thing that happened last time to happen again. He blinked, analyzing her, hm, never realized what pretty eyes she had... He quickly mentally shook his head, what a stupid thought, the heat really was getting to him... she wasn't a kit anymore, he couldn't be soft!

Theia bobbed her head happily as she replied,"Yup, isn't it great? Do you like my horns?" At this, she lowered her head, and the tip of a horn poked the scabs left over from the fox attack while the other poked the other ulaya's eye. As she felt that she must have bumped into something, she twitched her tail, and muttered apologetically,"Sorry about that, I'm not exactly careful about stuffs."
Then she raised her head again, as she started chatting happily,"Do you remember the little foxxy we found last time? Well, you probably don't know, since ya fell asleep when I was leaving, but I brought ze little foxxy cub home. You should have seen the expressions one Mommy and Pappy's faces!" She laughed happily as she remembered,"But in ze end, Mommy and Pappy made me bring it to the Wildlife Conservation Center or something like that." She made a face, the people there were really creepy and kept on asking her to shut up and stop sticking her nose into the equipment that they had set there.

When she mention or horns he had a immediate bad feeling of what was going to happen within a few seconds. Aeolus backed his head away in time for her horn not to poke his eye, but apparently not far enough and his scab was not sparred by the stupid ulaya. He hissed, resisting not to touch them... also resisting trying to kill her. In time I will, but not when she's prepared, if I ever find her at a cliff or something, I'll just push her off... There had better be jagged rocks at the bottom though. He regretted not trying to kill her when he had the chance when he first met her
He blinked, not listening to a word she had said, as he obviously he didn't care or was too pissed too listen. "Oh, how nice..." He randomly answered, with a bit of a growl to try and give her the message of DONOTWANTKTHNXBAI.

She took a deep breath,"nice, well, not only nice, but FANTASTICAL!" She bobbed her head up and down happily once more and raised one eyebrow skeptically when she heard Aeolus growl.
"Hmmm...? Ya got a sore throat or something?" She tilted her head curiously as she nodded wisely,"Me thinks that there is probably a frog stuck in your throat that is what my Pappy says that sometimes, but he says it's just an expression...dunno what that is, so ah well. Have you swallowed any tadpoles lately?" She paused, her eyes lighting up and widened,"Yes! It must have been that time that you drank that swamp water thingy! There must have been tadpoles in it! And all ze little tadpoles now turned into little froggies." Theia gave a self satisfied little nod.

Aeolus pinned his ears back, trying to block out her voice. He narrowed his eyes, "what...? I never drank any swamp water!" He blinked, was she trying to act stupid and adorable on purpose? Because it wasn't working. Gawd, I need to find a way to get rid of her!!! He looked around, trying to find a way to escape her and/or get rid of her. Little demon monster...

Theia shook her head and replied,"Of course ya did, ya must have when you were covered in blood after you decided to have a ze little fight with foxxys!" She started to bounce around for the sake of it, this conversation was getting a bit dull, wasn't there anything fun around?

"...No. I didn't, you fricken splashed me with salt water! Remember!? We didn't go to the swamp because it was too far away and I wasn't too up for traveling that far when blind just for some dirty water." He inched back a bit as she bounced. It had started... I need to get out of here, quick! His eyes flickered around frantically for an opening. He couldn't get rid of her, but he could at least escape her wrath!

"Really?" asked Theia raising one eyebrow and tilted her head curiously and sighed,"Well, I am sometimes a bit scatterbrained, short term memory loss, ya know? So sorry about getting it all mixed up." She paused, and her eyes grew wide and she said,"You got blind? Ooooo, what was it like? Did you see black or white? I always wanted ta know that."

"...Black. Because my eyes were closed so blood didn't pour into them! I wasn't really blind, just an expression that I couldn't see till the blood was cleaned." He sighed, "and blind people see black, because white is when they see pure light, every color of the spectrum. When you're blind you see no light at all, therefore black."

"Uh, yeah, if interesting is what you call it... But I wasn't too worried about where I stepped, because you're not that stupid enough to somehow lead us to a volcano." He threw in the insult to try and see if she'd get the message. His paws were starting to itch to just get up and run. I have to wait for the perfect moment...

"A volcano? What's that?"asked Theia blinking confusedly and then paused, trying to think up what it was. Then her eyes brightened as she bounced up and down squealing,"Yeah! Those big thingys that got BOOM! I always wanted to see one of those! Can we please go and see a volcano now? Purty pleaseee...?"

"...No." Aeolus decided to take his chances. Quickly he got up and began to make a run for, dashing away from her and the tree as fast as he could. Despite the heat he had to get away! His life depended on it! Now to find a place to hide... His eyes quickly darted around for a hole or something.
