-Deathly Destruction- Captain

Okay, to warm things up a bit, everyone post their top 5 favorite tv shows of all time and tell why you chose it! whee This is the GD after all....anything goes.
I've got 5, but I don't put them in any particular order because the order fluctuates so much for me, haha. So far, I've been keen on:
+La Femme Nikita- Control. Watched it starting with its premier when I was 9. Definitely not a show for 9 year olds, but I think it taught me that you can be mighty and still maintain control. I was a bit of a volatile child that never turned down a fight that was picked with me, so learning that lesson, albeit subconsciously, couldn't have come a moment too soon.
+Farscape- Humor. Such a brilliant show- it taught me to always stay light-hearted no matter how bad it got.
+Doctor Who- Hope. Time is such a fragile thing, and who better to learn the lesson of perseverance than from The Doctor himself. Also, that there is always a choice.
+Xena: Warrior Princess- Survival. I think I liked Xena the most was because she could survive no matter what was thrown at her.
+Blackadder- Cynicism and sarcasm. Ah, Rowan Atkinson...."I have no intention of [dying], because I want to be young and wild, and then I want to be middle-aged and rich, and then I want to be old and annoy people by pretending that I'm deaf." I think that pretty much sums it up. rofl
So I like learning things from TV shows I watch- I look at them as a reflection and see what I can take from them to improve myself, or what I can learn from them not to do so as to save myself. I'm way too serious, though. xd
What about everyone else? biggrin

Kukuku, my five favorite series... Dexter: Oh my. How could I have resisted him? Since I was a kid I had a fascination with blood and this Samaritan serial killer is filled with it. "People fake most of their relationships. I fake them all and I fake them really well". Scrubs: Because it's bubbly, cute and funny. Damn I wish my daydreams were as cool as J.D.'s! The League of Gentlemen: It's bizarre. It's weird. It's disturbing. And I love it. Each and every single episode make me shiver with a pleasant feeling of awkwardness. Little Britain: British humor ftw! The last one... I god, I can't decide. It's either Dog Whisperer or Animal Precint. D: Why? Because I love dogs and animals!

#1: Monty Python's Flying Circus. That show is seriously THE best show ever. #2: Family Guy. I love the sheer political incorrectness of it XD. #3: Mythbusters. Really interesting. i learned that I couldclean my car's front bumper with aluminum foil and coca-cola. #4: Formula One Racing. Although technically not a tv show, its on tv, right? and i love it, so its here. #5: All of the auditions for American Idol. I love watching people that think they can sing. Everything after that is just plain old reality tv. which is boring.

well i'm not quite sure but the order will probably go:
Doctor Who: There are so many different ways to interpret time and space, and it's just so fun! (for lack of a better word) Everytime i watch it i secretly wish that it was real, and that it was some kind of glitch in time and space so that i'd see what they're doing and one day they'd take me away so i could see the universe with them. Even the bad episodes scare me half to death sometimes, and it's easy to get very attached to the characters (i frickin loved rose! :[ it's so sad :[ wink I also love how The Doctor doesn't know everything (although he knows quite a lot) and every once in a while he gets a good smack in face! He also has little personal faults as-well. (Plus i love his [ the tenth (and current) doctor] puppy-dog eyes awww so cute :]) The plots twist and turn, and there're constant references to past episodes, so it really feels real! (i could go on but i'd start rambling)
Batman: The Animated Series - I grew up on everything Batman, and Batgirl (although she's not in the show) was my hero/role model when i was little! i still love Batman today, and i used to watch this show when i was little, so it warms my heart that Jetix still runs it! Plus, i havn't seen it in so many years, that it's feels like a brand new show. His loved ones are either criminals (Catwoman), or he doesn't want them to get hurt (Alfred and Robin) and he also doesn't want to get to close for fear of being hurt himself. He's just...very awkward. He's gotten good at distancing himself, because he has to because of his particular...kind of work.
Superman: The Animated Series - I used to hate Superman my whole life before I watched this show! It proves that he's not invincible, and they even have a movie that has Batman in it! It also has much more of a plot than i ever would've imagined. It's the exact opposite of Batman, and that's kind of why i like it! It's something new, and whenever it's not good i can just laugh and remark on how Batman would've done it better. It's also very different from Batman in the way that, he sometimes goes back to talk to see his "parents" so it's not the same three or four characters over and over again. It also has a romance (or sorts) between Superman and Louis Lane, which, sadly,is something that Batman does not have because Batman will forever distance himself from the ones he loves.
Edit: i could only think of three shows. rofl

Om I have the same reason for all of mine: They're all anime that I can actually find and record or could find and watched most of. No particular order though, as it depends on the episode. And I can't just decide on five, so I have 6.
Bleach.
Inuyasha.
Death Note.
S-Cry-Ed.
Blood Plus.
Ghost in the Shell.

FAMILY GUY: Humor; Who doesnt like Stewie the baby or Brian the dog?
HOUSE: Humor/ Suspense; Dude a sarcastic b*****d with no human emotion for any human soul and absolutely no heart who saves people's lives on a daily basis is just what television needs!!
SIMPSONS: Humor; wonderful show, been on for years! Gotta love angry dad!
ANIME: All kinds of humor, gore and adventure!
Not really sure what else I like on television. So far just these four. 3nodding

Easy! All are animes. There in no order.
1 One Piece because its full of action and drama 3nodding
2 Wolf's Rain because its one of the coolest ones I've seen.
3 Naruto because I love ninjas...
4 Hellsing because it has vampires and a lot of bloody action! Any vampire fan would love it!
5 Full Metal Alchemist because(this may sound weird but...) it has a lot of good morals in it. You just have to look for them.
