Omkara is an adaptation of the Shakespeare play Othello. Once you get past all the swearing and violence, it is a pretty good movie. Definitely worth watching, at least for Saif's acting.

kita200 Omkara is an adaptation of the Shakespeare play Othello. Once you get past all the swearing and violence, it is a pretty good movie. Definitely worth watching, at least for Saif's acting. Thank you! It's been near the top of my Netflix for a while--I'll have to get it now! smile I think I heard Vivek is also really good in it? Is that right? (Or am I somehow confusing it with Lokhandwala?)

OMG, I SAW THIS MOVIE WHILE I WAS ON VACATION, AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT.
It's a little slow... and violent/bloody, but other than that, it's REALLY good. Saif is an incredible actor in it, from start to finish. You love to hate him!
And, it might have been the awesomeness that is Vivek and Bipasha, but the two of them were GREAT as a couple. It also might have been 'Beedi' that made me think so highly of them together on screen. I just loved seeing them on screen, and when Bips came, I would get all excited because Vivek (who is SO freaking hot, you have NO idea) would be coming on soon. hee... but I swear I liked the movie for the actual plot, too! stare
