eek If there's anything I love more than HP fanfiction, it's a good HP essay.
I've got to leave for school in two minutes, so I'll post somea ctual comments after I get home ^^

Okay! I'm back!
It's a really great essay.. you touched on all the points. Every one of the theory-bashers that I've seen (and then some) have been examined and disproved.
You make it sound like there's a 100% certainty that Regulus is, in fact, R.A.B., it's that persuasive <3 Aren't there sites you could submit this to? Like the essays section of hp-lexicon.org? Or fictionalley..

I can submit it to the Lexicon, but I don't feel like the conclusion is strong enough to do so.

I'm glad you liked that it that much though biggrin . I was trying to prove the fact that Regulus is R.A.B. because I believe it 100% without a doubt.

Rowling's a very tricky person.
Maybe she originally was planning to make RAB Regulus, but after seeing that most of her fans had already guessed it, changed it. confused Of course, if that were the case and she introduced a new character or something, a great deal of the book would have to be dedicated to actually developing the characer, giving them some dimensions... And that would take up waaay too much space. Plus she's got enough loose ends to tie as it is..

Rowling doesn''t strike me as the kind of author who would change a plan just because fans figured it out. Actually, if I were her I''d be proud of myself. That means that A) I have intellegent readers and B) I did a good job of foreshadowing.

Excluding Lupin/Tonks, which suddenly appeared in HBP, she always does a good job of foreshadowing things so that at the end you go "Oh! Duh! I should have seen that coming!"

Because the other books are already written, there would be no way for her to foreshadow this character, and that''s just tacky writing.
