Somewhere, a screen flickers, changing from it's usual static to the image of a young, dark-haired girl. She looks down at the destroyed ground below her, revealing her wolf ears to any who might see. Her hair sways with her gaze, hanging down across her face and lightly covering her red eyes. She stands there for several moments, mouthing silently before looking straight out and offering a weak smile.
"Hello," she begins, "I am Princess Rayne. This is not my world; I am only here to warn you. If you can leave you should do it now, while you are still yourself. This world will take far more precious things than your life if you aren't careful."
She pauses and looks toward the debris-covered ground once more. For a second her face seems to slip, her face contorting into a look of complete terror. She takes a deep breath as if gathering courage and looks back out before her again and continues, "This world was not always like this. It was once peaceful and safe. But now it is haunted by the horrible memories of the Soulless World. We called it the World of Blood, a place corrupted by evil where even the strongest and bravest became insane and terrified. That world is gone now, but the pain-stricken events leading to its fate still exist, tormenting this world and forcing it to the same fate. Already creatures with no purpose but to kill anything they see have filled these lands, but far worse things lie out there if you dare to venture across this world. If you have even a small chance at escape, use it now before you lose yourself here, before this world taints you as well!"
Her eyes sparkle with honesty, then fear, and finally tears. She closes her eyes and lifts her clawed hands to cover her face as she yells out her final refrain, "Before you become like them, like those who tried to save me! I'm so sorry! To all of them and to everyone still alive! Please forgi-"
The screen suddenly cuts to a new scene. The same girl stands there, looking out across the destruction littering the ground with a faint smile and soulless eyes. "I am Princess Rayne," she states, "And welcome to this world."
The image shuts off, leaving nothing but blackness and a faint humming, leaving you completely alone with whatever lies in wait for you in this world.
