The Year is 1925. The Roaring Twenties
four years before the Great Depression.

As America comes out of World War 1 generally unharmed, it experiences a time of great industry booming and self-improvement in all lives as people become rich quickly.
However, amongst the flappers and jazz music, there is evil that is becoming ever stronger due to this new found wealth.
And with it, the government learns of a secret organization that has been in America since the Salem Witch Trials.
It is called to Order of Nemamiah, (or O.N.)
The O.N. Is an organization funded by the Vatican to hunt and banish demons and poltergeist alike.
But what the government doesn't believe, because it can't understand why, is that each member of the O.N. is either not human, or possesses skills that normal humans don't.
It is up to these Nuns, Monks, Priests and Priests, and Friars, to banish the demons and keep the world safe without any outside humans knowing of the organization.

strengths: knows how to transform halfway (gives herself wings as a human), is stronger and quicker then a human, very good with guns
weaknesses: blood
bio: Claire was born to a normal family. However, one day, while playing with neighborhood children, she fell down a ravin, along with a young boy. She sprouted wings and tried to catch the boy, but was unable to save him. Still not used to being part bird, Claire was chased out by the boys family, who blamed her for her death and called her a devil worshiper.
She was found later on by Father Christopher, who took her in despite her wings. He taught her the world of the O.N. and eventually, she came to see him like a brother. She is rather serious, but when she gets to know someone, she's very kind.

bio: One hunted on a regular basis, she was resorted to kill whenever she was attacked. Was caught on day and was held without blood for months, almost being reduced to nothing but a lump of flesh. She was rescued by father Christopher though she did not show her "appreciatiom", attacking him out of fear but was easily taken down.
She has helped the O.N. but still remains a mystery.

Even though she is a vampire she still got excepted into the N.O. and helps them out because she was banished away from her own clan of vampires. the others look up to her as a sister, only Christopher and a few other higher ranks know she is a vampire.

Setting:

The O.N's American Head quarters are on Long Island, New York. It is a church with dormitories for it's nuns and monks, as well as a garden area where they grow their food.
In the Headmaster's study (Father Christopher's Office), there is a secret door to an underground area, where they make the ammunition and weaponry for killing demons.

Claire entered the small chapel in the O.N. Head Quarters. She sat down at the confessional, sitting as poised as possible, even though she was dirty and sweaty from her journey from Chicago. "Forgive me father, for I have sinned. It has been two months since my last confession."
"You need not tell me much more," Father Christopher spoke from the other side of the screen, "I know your sins."
Claire sighed, slightly smiling. "I know."
"How was your mission? Aparently it took longer then expected."
"Obviously."
"How many innocent were lost?"
"... One... the first victim could not be saved." she said bitterly, "He was consumed by the demon."
"Ah... He will find peace in God's grace."
"Amen."
"You are tired... Go rest... You'll find your room should be as you left it..."
"Thank you, Father."

A dark figure sat outside of Father Christopher's study. She did not enter the headquarters much, since a lot of the members found her as a demon herself. She hid her face with a black cloak most of the time, so the sun could not hit her and she would not be affected.

this is what she looks like most of the time, only with white hair

The mortals of the O.N. whispered as she moved gracefully through the well lit halls towards her room.
"Isn't she Sister Claire?"
"I heard she was in Chicago. She must have just returned."
"Hey! Wasn't she one of those people who Father Christopher personally taught?"
"Yeah! I hear she's a real whiz when it comes to ammunition."
"But look at her hair! It's so... Victorian... so old style."
"I wouldn't mess with her. I hear she's part immortal..."
Claire reached her room just in time as the voices and whispers became unbearable.
"'Immortal'. Ha! They make me out to be Father Christopher's lap dog!"

Abegayle waited for Father Christopher to come to his office. She needed to talk to him and did not feel like walking through the doors of the O.N. for she was tired of the constant whispers she received. She stared at her natural red nails, the signal of her species. Her bright eyes held anger and she was tapping her nails against the branch of the tree, waiting impatiently.

Hearing the door open, she thought it to be the father but it wa actually a "sister". "Beast...why do you sit outside Father Christopher's window...wishing to feed?"She asked in a scornful voice that made her jump through the open window and hold her up by her throat.

"Listen here...just because I am apart of this organization and the fact i survive off the life of others does not mean everytime I rear my head from the shadows and my work does not mean I intend to drain someone of their life...but if you continue to insult me and my kind...I may have to just do that to you."Abegayle said in a cold voice.

Rosealie watched some of the O.N. members practice downstairs in the quarters. "Keep up the work and you may make it up another rank." she said as she watched them do target practice. "You need a better aim than that." she said. Even though she was strict to the other members, Rose was like a sister to them and they respected her.

Claire unpacked her bag before heading down to bathing rooms. Quickly, she to a shower and washed her self as she scrubbed away the blood stains on her skin and bits of debri in her hair. She was greatful for the strong smelling soap, because the coppery, salty smell of blood made her sick. Then she dried off, changed into a fresh pair of the uniform nun robs they used here, and walked outside. She stopped by the training area, and saw her good friend Rosealie.
"Hey Rose." she said, walking up to her. "It's been a while. How's things here?"

Abegayle waited for awhile after her little incident for the Father but he did not show. "DAMNIT ALL!"She yelled out in frustration and slammed open the door, walking into the hall, looking for the holy man with angry eyes. Many people stood away from her, knowing of her temper and viciousness.
