You head down, down, and down some more through the streets from magical lift to magical lift. After a couple of hours of walking and waiting for lifts, you are finally here.
The docks of Sharn. The ones by the Dagger River and the Hilt bay, not the airship docks far, far up above.
Laborers abound are busy at work on the docks. Several hundred, at least, work here. You recognize old faces from your time spent here, and others that are definitely new. The docks attract travelers looking to earn some quick money to keep wandering, or just earn some quick money. Anybody who has the strength to lift crates and barrels is welcome.
You don't seem to notice any of the members of the warforged salvaging crew you work for around. Maybe they're out on a job right now?
Ignari arrives shortly after, and surveys the area. Everybody here seems a lot bigger, stronger, and most definitely taller than he is...it's going to take something to compete with these people...
Ignari does spot someone around his size, a short halfling leaning against the wall of a warehouse, watching the events of the docks. But he certainly doesn't appear to be working.

Relic looks around taking in the familiar bustle of the docks. Not seeing any of he prior coworkers, he looks about for anyone he knows that would usually have work to be done.

I have to send you my background, but in my background I worked for the one of the ship salvaging companies repairing warforge, it is a part time job when I'm in town. That is were I met Relic.
I meet up with my previous employers, but before that I head over to the suspicious acting halfling. I lean up against the wall next to him and ask him, "what is your business in these parts?"

OOC: Yeah, that's correct Ignari, I kinda get lost on the details at time. I assume that your work is more of the supervisory work (protection from sea monsters, especially the Sauhagin that occasionally attack boats from their undersea lairs)?
At your question, the halfling smiles and answers without taking his sight off the docks. "Takin' in the sight, watching everybody hard at work at the docks. Beautiful sight, eh mate? Productivity in action. And you can spot all sorts of amusing things. I'm a real good watcher, you see." The halfling then turns to look at you. "What about you? You good at watching?" the halfling finishes before developing a bemused, relaxed smile and returning his gaze to the docks.
As Ignari begins chatting up the halfling, Relic spots the banner of the salvaging company he worked for being removed from a box, fastened to a pole, and being placed on the dock. You ascertain this must be one of the docking and unloading crews hired by the company, and question who appears to be the manager of the operation.
"Oi! Yeah, the warforged'll be back from their latest excursion for Deep Sea Acquisitions in about thirty minutes! That's why we just claimed this part of the dock." the man replies.

I reply to the halfling, "I'm a good watcher, I saw you, didn't I. What do you see that is so amusing out there?"

"Ah, true, true. Gnomes often are rather perceptive. Amusing things happen all the time on the Sharn docks. Arrogant, drunken sailors get into fights, strange, bizarre creatures walk around, and all sorts of strange goods get into here! You'd think the Sharn Watch would do something about some of these things, you know? And sure, they have the best intentions...maybe that's why they let these things go on. You know, to spice up Sharn a bit?" the halfling replies.
"Say, if you don't mind me asking, what would you be doing in this fine city of Sharn?" the halfling adds.

"It does make the city more lively and exciting."
"I'm a traveler and ended up in this city, and I am here trying to look for a job in this happening town."
"And what business brings you here?"

Ignari
"What business, what business, that's the second time you've asked me that. Why, do you want work?" replies the halfling.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Relic
"Ah yes, I'll reintroduce you to them when they get back! I'm sure we could use another pair of hands." says the manager.

"I want to know what your business is here, not just 'taking in the sights', there is something more than meets the eye here."
OOC: Is he an autobots or a decepticon. Roll initiative! +2 ... Just kidding.
"I might want a job, it depends on the pay and type of work."
OOC: Also what was the pay for my job to work on the warforge.

Two sailing boats are now in view of the docks. You both can recognize one of them as a salvaging ship you used to work on.
Ignari
"Well, I am a watcher. Didn't I tell you that already?" the halfling says with a grin. "My pay's pretty light, as this job isn't difficult. Don't feel up for more risk work now, my knee's been injured by some of those brute goblinoids that have been attacking good halflings for no reason. Luckily I managed to get away from them. If you've got a good way to present a strong ability to take care of goblins, I might be able to get you an audience. For other work you'll have to find a different halfling than little ol' me."
Relic
"Well, looks like our ship's coming in! Literally!" the dock manager says with a laugh shared by the human coworkers. "Oi, what was your name again? We could use your help unloading, and I could give you a normal laborer's pay for the job too."

"Its Relic, Sir and I would appreciate that very much" Relic says with a slight nod of his head. Relic moves to help with the docking and unloading.
