Hey guys this is actually the first comic idea I had. I mean Before "Dead Bored" even. Its kinda based on my love of halloween and didn't find out later that some bits of it are like Bleach but its not like I'm trying to be a copy cat.

Jack and the good underworld (Hallow Ground)
As we all know Jack Hallow was a very stingy and mean man when he was alive. He didn’t care for other people and in result they didn’t care for him. After he died, people joked that even the devil wouldn’t want a man like him in hell. They had no idea how right they were.
Jack quickly found out that the devil didn’t show any respect or mercy for even the most wicked of people, and that he like Jack didn’t care about any of them. It seemed too late for Jack to have a great change of heart but he decided he needed to start caring anyway. He started building up his own kingdom for those who still had a shot at life in heaven. This kingdom was like a prison to straighten out criminals but even those who were there called it “the good underworld”. There everyone was help each other and if did not follow the laws you were put in the actual prison.
To help all these people on the right path Jack would occasionally get lucky and find a preacher or two who didn’t mind postponing heaven for a while to continue gods work. Needless to say religion was a big thing in the good underworld as way to heaven.
When Jack wasn’t at his kingdom, he was trying to find the better souls in hell that could still have hope for a better life. This proved long and tedious work until he got his lantern. Now some people say that it was the devil that gave Jack the eternally glowing coal but we know better now don’t we. Actually it was Death who gave Jack the coal because even Death had more of a heart than the devil. Jack used this lantern as a beacon to those worthy and willing souls who flourished until a messenger angel would come to collect them.
Taking care of all these people for the better changed Jack completely. He not stingy at all but he remained a bit of a trouble maker because he learned to have a sense of humor. No longer did he always frown but instead he kept a goofy smile on his face and his people loved him for it. This is how Jack who we all know as “Jack of the lantern” or “Jackolantern” for short came to be the Halloking.

Jack and Harmony
Jack liked to go back to the living world once in while, to see if any ghosts needed a new home and just to see what life in general was becoming. It was on one of these trips that Jack met Harmony, a young girl who would later become his wife and queen of the Hallows.
She had five brothers all of which loved to pick on her because she scarred so easily. One of her brothers had done this and she ran off to hide behind a pile of hay. After a while she begun to hear a chuckle from behind her. She looked up to she a total stranger hiding with her but he was facing the other way. She tried to get his attention and in doing so scarred Jack which in turn scarred her. He thought she might be a priest who senced an aura and came to clense him so when she touched him he started screaming “IT WASN’T ME I SWEAR I DIDN’T DO IT!!” what ever it might have been.
What surprised Jack about her was that this girl had just seen him, a ghost, and didn’t seem to even realize it. In fact after there first meeting when he asked if she were ok she was laughing. It was the first time she had ever scarred anyone else and she thought it was a fun way of meeting him. They became good friends and the more he watched her the more he was fascinated. She scarred so easily and then not only that but she saw ghosts on a regular bases. Many would come because she was such a sweet girl and talking to her made them feel better, even though many of them never realized that she was afraid of them (or at least their appearance.)
So when she came around to telling Jack her big secret he wasn’t surprised which completely shocked her. To explain why he asked “You never touched one of them have you?” He knew she had but she didn’t realize that no one else ever saw him, and because he had died of an illness he had no wounds that she could see. That night she found the truth when one of the ghosts in a maddened furry tried to hurt her.
The next time he saw her he expected her to be afraid of him but instead she was even more caring for him. Then she told Jack what had happened. At that moment he vowed to protect his good friend the only living person that cared about him, Harmony.
A little after that his work seemed to become more sever and they didn’t get to see each other as much. He became surprised though because he began to hear about her from citizens of the Hallows and how she was the most wonderful young lady and made all of them feel better. After that he paid her a visit and could hardly believe his eyes.
He never really noticed her growing up but she was 17 at the moment and quite beautiful. A Polite, very religious young lady she had become wise from the things she had been taught both from the living and the dead. It was the first time that Jack realized he was in love with Harmony.
And then he saw something he hadn’t really before. He had been protecting her from the dead but she could still be attacked by the living. Many of the people in her town thought she may be a witch and even more swore she was crazy because she was often found talking to herself. For everyone one person who loved her dearly there were two who were against her. Jack could only think of one thing to do. He had a ring made for her and the next day he asked for her hand in marriage.
“Will I die if I do?” she asked.
“I don’t know. This is a first for me.” Jack said beginning to worry.
“Oh well, for better or for worse Jack,” she sighed sliding the ring onto her finger, “I love you.”
That day they were married by the current priest in his kingdom.

I like the ideas for your story that you have posted so far.
Though I have yet to see the similarites between this and BLEACH, I may have to read again.
I hope you make more for the story line or have it continue on~ and I also imagine you'll make the characters look very interesting!

Next Halloqueen Characters

Ember Christine King (16): She's the main character of the whole story. She was always stubborn and tough when she was little. So when she was 6 trick-or-treating with her little sister she saw a boy getting beat up by a couple of teenagers. She thought she could handle it but she was wrong of course. All of them *except the teens of course* were saved by Harmony Hallow because the boy Ember tried to rescue just so happened to be her oldest son, Thomas. Harmony keeps in touch with Ember showing her things to keep herself protected because she always wanted a daughter...

Thomas Hallow (19): He's the kind of kid you think is just all that on the tough scale. Thomas is serious, strong, smart, but ultimately confused and worried. He has no idea how he's supposed to take his Fathers place as the Halloking when the time comes and gets even more confused when Ember is supposed to help.

Harmony Hallow (unknown age): She is the know it all obviously about what is going on between Thomas and Ember. In the idea of business she thinks "well Ember is living so she can always have an eye out for ghosts" how ever she just really wants her son to hook up with her. Other than that she's Jack's (the Halloking) better half. While he keeps the people of theire spirit kingdom in line she is the unnoficail angel that teaches them ultimately what it means to be good. She is sweet, light hearted, and one of the most loving people you could ever meet.

Jack Hallow (the Halloking/ unknown age): Even though he is supposed to keep the people of his kingdom in line he is a complete joker and mischief maker. After his big change he always wears a big smile the reads "I'm so gonna get you and you know it." Its a theory that it is that smile that keeps so many people both accepting of Jack and at the same time on their toes to make sure they aren't in trouble.

Explanation of the Spirit worlds

OK anyone who has ever listened to the LDS Missionary discussions know that we kinda believe in three heavens. In all actuallity its all one heaven in three catagories and thats how I think it should work in my stories too. Highest to lowest the kingdoms are as follows: Cellestial, Terrestrail, and Tellestial. To remember it better think of the brightness of the Sun, the Moon, and the Stars.
Also you know we don't concieve Hell to be a pit of fire. No its total cold darkness. You will also know that we believe in a spirit prison, which is where people can work to improve themselves before they go into heaven. In my story I actually have the idea of two of those prisons. The Hallow Ground is the one you'll hear about the most because it is the one were the worse people go when they want to change, or put it better, be saved from Hell.

This is a prewrite of the story so far. I know its a little confusing but I kind of intended it to be that way. I hope you enjoy it anyway.

It was a very good Halloween night, the moon hung high and shown brightly only hidden once in a while by a few passing clouds. Children scurried from place to place trick-or-treating happily. Two young girls wondered off a little farther than the rest of the crowd, the younger dressed as a princess the older dressed as a warrior. As they went farther the area became darker and less friendly.
“Ember… I think we’re lost. Can we go home now?”
The warrior, Ember, looked around and just as she was about to agree something caught their attention. The sound of breaking glass and some older boys laughing. They saw the teenagers notice them and begin to approach them.
“Well you came out to play didn’t you? How about givin’ us that toy sword eh?” the girls stepped back a bit shaking their heads no. “So you guys aren’t going to tell anyone right?”
The rest of the boys had the two girls circled now, a few of them chuckling and cracking knuckles. The younger girl whimpered a bit and clung to her sisters arm. Ember stood a little taller, squeezed tighter on the sword “Let us go!”
“What didn’t you wanna have some fun?” said another of them, as they all rounded up on the girls. Reign, the younger squeezed out of the middle and watched her sister flail, hitting as many as she could with the heavy plastic before she was knocked out by a punch in the back of the head.
“Aah! Let us go! Don’t hurt us anymore!” cried Reign, as the center their attention on her. “Just let us go! We won’t tell anyone!”
Then a boy slightly older than Ember, grabbed up both the girls and started to run. It wasn’t far that they were all trapped again. The boy was quickly taken out after putting up a good fight. As Reign bit ones arm, a women’s voice rose over the fight screaming, “Enough!”
A women in a grey, torn, dirty dress and dark red corset grasped a real dagger and charged the boys. With out cutting any of them she began to deal swift hard blows to their backs, guts, and heads leaving them all out for action. They all quickly ran as soon as they got up, leaving the three kids and strange women wearing a blind fold.
Reign sat crying over her sister, as the boy came to. “Is she ok?”
“Thomas. Tell me what happened here,” said the lady as she took off her blind fold, revealing great beauty despite her poor appearance. She checked the boy briefly and then turned her attention to the girls.
“These two were attacked by those kids. This one put up one heck of a fight. I saw it all.”
“Is that so?” She applied some liquid to Embers bruses and cuts, Looked up at Reign and said, “My son and I are only here to help. You have a brave sister and I want you to remember this night. When she’s awake I want you to tell her what happened so she remembers too. Can you do that?”
“Yes ma’am,”
“Good.” She touched the girls saying, “Its time for us all to go home.” A sudden rush of warm air and the two girls were left alone on the front lawn of their house.

Years later, an alarm clock starts going off in a room decorated in dark and bright posters of fantasy scenes. Ember stirs, turns the alarm off and gets up gathering books into her bag looking still very tired because every other night since she turned nine the lady named Harmony who saved her that night, came to visit and teach.
She made her way to the kitchen for breakfast. A note hung on the fridge read “I had to leave early again for work but your lunches are in the fridge. Happy birthday Ember. Love, Mom” Leaving the note, Ember put her lunch in her bag, made a sandwich for breakfast and left for school.
Half way to the school, a tall blonde girl in glasses waited by a stop sign. Smirking she hawlered “Hey there itty bitty. What’s happening?”
Ember smiled. “Hey Sarah. How long have you been waiting?”
“Trust me not long. By the way,” she pulled out a small cup cake with one candle and quickly lit it “Happy day.”
“You didn’t have to do that.” As she closed her eyes and blew out the flame.
“Quite the contrary. Besides, the rest of my family ate them too so you know they’re not poisonous.”
“You made them yourself?”
“Duh, silly. What you think I bought it? So got any plans?”
“My plans always consist of school work. You know that. I’m not brilliant like you.”
“Pft. Brilliant? If I was really that bright I wouldn’t have to fight with my little brothers everyday. And as smart as I am I still can’t do my work till late.”
“Really?”
“I just said I was too busy with my brothers remember?” they laughed a bit as they got to the school.
They day carried out like usual Ember struggling a bit here and there, occasionally ignoring being made fun of. At the end of it all Sarah joined Ember and Reign on the walk home.
At home, Embers mom has a small cake made and some decorations. She rushes to give them both hugs “Hello girls!”
“Wow mommy it looks good.” Reign says.
“How long did you work on this?”
“Not as long as you think. Now come on dinner first”
Ember looked at it all and then at her full bag and decided making her mother happy was more important at the moment. Things had been a little stressful for them all lately.
After dinner she took her things to her room and closed the door behind her. As she turned she saw on her desk a small red box with a white ribbon. She opened it to see a small skull shaped pendent. It looked like marble with onyx for the eyes, heavily polished it weighed down in her hands.
“I hope you like it Ember” a voice said from behind her. She gasped and turned quickly shocked. There sitting in the corner chair of her room was Harmony.
“Mrs. Hallow! You’re awfully early aren’t you?”
“Are you ready to see what the under world looks like?” Harmony asked gazing at Ember.

Heres chunk number two of the story. Enjoy. 3nodding

“The under world?! Am I dying?!” She shouted.
“No my dear. I merely want to show you my home.” Harmony smiled.
“Mrs. Hallow I don’t want to sound rude But I have all this work I need to do. Plus I really don’t think I’d be ready to see hell you know?”
“Please, Ember call me Harmony. And its not hell. I live in a place where people are given the chance to redeem themselves before the go to hell. And I’m afraid I’m not really asking you to see it.” Embers eyes widened as she was about to speak Harmony said, “And don’t worry. I’ll help you with your school work.”
Harmony grasped Embers hand and the world she knew began to melt and change around her. Suddenly there was no ground beneath them and the feeling that they were falling and it appeared buildings were passing them. When they stopped it was a similar area to were Ember and her sister had gotten lost so many years ago that Halloween night. Most of the building looked run down and old, the surroundings despite the rising sun and a few lights still on. It was the typical idea of a ghost town. The sidewalks and road cracked and mostly dirt. Little to no sign of life, including trees that all looked dead. The air smelled smoke and dust filled, emphasizing the eerie calm.
“I thought it was night time?”
“This is the spirit world dear. You should’ve known it would be different”
“WELCOME TO THE HALLOWS!!”
Ember screamed as there was a tall man in a large brown trench coat behind her. He wore a brown hat that made nearly impossible to see his eyes as he beamed at them with a large mischievous grin. As Ember caught her breath he chuckled, “I’m sorry I just thought you should have a proper greeting.”
“That was proper?”
“Ember this is my husband Jack. The Hallowking.”
“Honestly dad do you have to do that”
Farther off were two boys approaching them. Both quite tall and skinny, the taller was blonde in plain old fashioned clothes, the younger had black hair in a dark hoody with the same sort of smile as Jack.
“Well who’s the itty-bitty beauty mom? Pleasure to me you,” Said the younger as he took a deep exaggerated bow.
“You’ll have to forgive my father and brother. They’re pranksters who pick the worst way to surprise people.” Said the other in a calm voice.
“You … your all…”
“The ‘Royal family’ of the Hallows. As you can see dear, we’ve all been eager to get you here.”
“Why?”
“First see home shall we?” smiled Jack for the first time showing his eyes.
The Mansion, like everything else had a dark and old feel to it, however echoed elegance in its structure and art surrounding it. Inside it was the same only surprisingly cleaner than one would have expected. They led Ember down the right corridor passing paintings, not so much of the family but of what appeared to average citizens and priests. Finally they pushed there way into a room filled of books, a few large tables and a very large sofa. The one wall void of a bookshelf had a large blazing fire place, which light revealed that the grandest thing about the room was that it was a mess.
“Jack.” Harmony stared.
“I’m sorry, dear. I know I promised to keep it clean in here.”
“It’s our dad’s study.” Pointed out the dark haired boy as he flopped on the sofa.
“Um Harmony, Jack, and who are you two?”
“I’m Thomas and that’s my little brother Daniel. Pleasure to meet you miss King.” Said the blonde Thomas as he headed to a corner.
“What’s going on? Why am I here?”
“Ember, How much do you remember about that Halloween you are your sister got lost?”
“Not much. Reign just said that we were saved by a boy and strange lady.” She looked around one more time, “that lady was you wasn’t it Harmony?”
“And as you know I’ve kept a steady eye on the two of you since.”
“Wait, so you visit Reign too?”
“That she does. Harmony always wanted a few daughters too, but we’re proud of are boys.” Said Jack.
“Then how come she isn’t here too?”
“She didn’t see what you saw.”
“What I saw?”
“That night you didn’t just hit living humans with your toy sword. You hit the two ghosts we were there to collect.” Thomas explained.
“How do you know?” Ember snapped.
“I was the boy who tried to rescue you and your sister, after you had turned they’re attention from me. They were breaking windows to get to me.”
“You see we admire your fighting spirit, and we can’t always go into the living world to collect lost souls. That’s why we need you.” Jack explained.
“I can’t do what you’re asking of me.”
“Why not dear?”
“Mrs. Hallow, you’ve been visiting me for years. How can you not understand I have enough trouble in that world with just my school?!”
“I said I would help you with that.”
“I really doubt that.”
“Hey! That’s my mom your talking about!” shouted Daniel. “She always keeps her promises and is probably the smartest person you’ll ever meet!”
“Daniel stand down!” Jack yelled. He turned to Ember, “You are an exceptional girl the only person we’ve ever asked to help us. How ever, as you say you have enough trouble with your life, which is why this is your choice alone. Keep the skull charm with you though. It has magical properties that will help you. You have a week to make a final decision. You may go home now.”
There was a similar warm breeze she swore she had felt before as the world melted again. Ember stood in her room amazed. Everything was where she had left it, as she looked at her clock. She had only been gone a few minuets.
