Scout had wanted a bit of adventure. She left the Api territory knowing that not everyone in the open territory would be friendly, but she wanted to chance it anyway. She slinked along the branches. Her dark fur made it easy for her to roam without being noticed. The wind was warm and brought the scent of cinnamon.
"Oh this is going to be so much fun." She said as she stretched out on a branch. "I wonder if I will see anyone way out her." She flicked her tail back and forth over the branch and closed her eyes.

In the forest there was a break in the canopy that allowed the sun to pierce the shadows of the forest, on a limb bathed in sunlight Bhaskar sat enjoying the light of the sun. This was his favorite spot, a place to enjoy sun's warmth.

Scout was tired from walking so far but she couldn't sleep. Sheopened her eyes. 'It's getting kinda chilly here I need to find a better spot' She thought as her eyes scanned the canopy for a place were the sun was breaking through. That was when She saw him. He seemed to glow golden in the only sunlight that had made it all the way through the canopy.
"He dosen't look like he'd be mean....and he is hogging all the sun!!" She said to her self as she stood and started climbing towards him. "HEY YOU" she called out as she got nearer to him. "Hope you don't mind sharing that spot."

Bhaskar was surprised as the strange female shouted as him. "Well I don't mind sharing but I would like to know who I am sharing with?" he asked politely.

"I'm Scout. I'm new to this area." she said matter of factly with a cheesy grin on her face. She was rather confident in herself and sometimes she came off a bit pushy. "and can I get your name now?" She said as she sat beside him.

"I am Bhaskar. It is nice to meet you." he said with a polite nod. Bhaskar moved down the limb to allow Scout to share the sun's warm. "So what brings you here?" he asked with a smile back.

But really I just go tired of my mother, and my sister lest the nest long before me, it was just my time to see the world." She gazed up at the canopy were the sunlight filtered in with a green tent through the leaves. "What about you? What brought you out here?"

"Well I guess I just been wondering around and the sunlight caught my attention. See I don't have a family of my own", Bhaskar said with a far away look on his face but he shook his head to the here and now. "So are you hungry?" he asked.

"I'd say your lucky to not have a family, but maybe their are some good ones out there somewhere. I think I'd definitely be a better mother ...and I never even saw my father." Scout saw the the distance look in his eye and thought she had better not say more on the subject.
"I would love to get something to eat, my tummy has been growling for some time now. Do you know were the fruit trees grow? I don't think I've pass one yet" She stood and stretched in case she would have to leap after him as he flew.

"Well I think I saw some fruit trees just north of here. Let's go check it out." Bhaskar said. Bhaskar jumped to the nearest limp and head down the trunk. "Let's take a forest floor walk."

Scout smiled when she saw what he was doing, "You know, I bet I could have kept up with you if you flew, but I do appreciate you taking the easy way for me. I think your the first tokoro to do that for me." She followed him down the tree to the forest floor. "It must be nice having wings, always knowing you could just fly away at any moment." She said dreamily while looking at his wings.

"That's Ok. It is nice to take a walk very once and while. Also I can not fly all the time." he said as he spread his wings so Scout could see them better. He smiled at the look on her face. "I don't think the trees are that far anyway." he said.

"You are a really nice guy." she sped up a bit so she could walk at his side. "So do you run across other tokoro out here very often?" He seemed so comfortable talking to her, She thought he must have to deal with strangers all the time. Most tokoro found her to be abrasive, but never really hung around to get to know her. She was really enjoying his company.

"Oh there are tons of tokoro where I come from, we basiclly lived in one of the main villages I think. There was always someone watching you and telling you how to behave. I just got so tired of it. I mean I just wanted the freedom to be myself." The forest looked like it was getting darker and denser and Scout started getting a bit scared so she walked closer to Bhaskar, almost touching him. "Are you sure this is the way?"
