 Doku was out looking for fruit. He woke up in a mood for berries, and when a mood hit him he just went with it. The Sun was shining and a gentle breeze was blowing, all in all it was a beautiful morning. Doku stretched, yawned daintily, and made his way over to the berry bushes by the waterfall. It was his favorite spot in the forest. After gathering some berries her went to sun himself by the water, laying out more like a lady then a man. "Oh what a lovely morning." he said pressing a berry to his lower lip before sliding it into his mouth.

 Today just wasn't her day.
So far, she'd gotten chased around by a couple angry bees for trying to steal fruit too close to their hive, she'd fallen into a puddle of mud, while bathing she slipped in the water and banged her back on a rock...
"Oh what an awful morning." Fuming and seething, Renda pulled herself out of the water and shook herself off carefully, grimacing when she shook too hard and hurt her sore back. Nothing seemed to be going right for Renda today. She walked towards a spot right in the sun to dry off, and frowned a little when she saw someone. "Hello?" She stopped, blinking, and sat down.

"Oh my Ren love! I looked like you just took a tumble over that waterfall" He said both amused and disgusted at her appearance. "come over here and lets see if we can fix up back up to your normal gorgeous self. I can't hang out with you if you look so disheveled, you will hurt my reputation." He guided her over to his sunny spot, well it was more like guiding her with force.
Doku had noticed she was walking funny. So he started by giving her a back massage. "You really did a number on yourself, but no worries you will feel like new soon, my little fruit fly." That was his nick-name for her. "So how have you been."

"Thanks." Renda said dryly, sighing deeply at the look her friend Doku was giving her. She followed after him to the sunny spot, and plopped down once there, rubbing her paw over her stomach quietly. "This morning's been an utter disaster." She said, scowling a little. She relaxed under the massage, and tilted her head to the side.
"I've been fine." She said absently, frowning. "Had better days then this, really. I've been chased by bees, fell in mud, banged my back on a rock..." She grumbled a little indignantly, and glanced back. "How've you been?" She asked, reaching down to paw at her tail. It was a habit of hers, pulling and smoothing her tail down.

"Well I suppose even Aphrodite even fell off her pedestal" He said working down her spine "but you need the bad days to make you appreciate the good ones right. If it was always sunny you would miss the rain" He gave her a friendly nuzzle to try and cheer her up when she tilted her head. "You're with me now, so things are already getting better right."
"I think things have been looking pretty good for me, I don't want to jinx it but I may have met a guy." he replyed bashfully to her question. "I can't tell you who he is just yet, but I think he is like..." He trailed off a bit.
"Renda, you have been my best friend for a while, I'm just busrting to tell you." he said rather excitedly. "I mean you have been pretty much the only one to accept me knowing everything about me." He grabbed her and hugged her. "I'm just so happy right now. I want you to be happy with me"

Renda snorted at him, and returned the nuzzle with a small smile. "Clearly." She said, grinning at her friend. The grin grew even wider and became more of a mischievous grin then a simply happy one. There was a guy.
"There's a guy?" She asked casually, eyes starting to gleam. "Why can't you tell me who he is?" She turned around to face him, bemused. "Do I know him?" Probably not, come to think of it... She didn't keep much company aside from Doku. "No, I doubt it." She answered for him, shaking her head. She laughed at his excited chattering, and returned the embrace.
"Go on, go on. You're going to explode if you don't get it all out." She said, laughing. While she was happy for Doku, the idea of him meeting someone made her think back to her own love life. Or rather, lack thereof. It was her own fault in a way, Renda didn't outright look for males who interested her. In fact, she preferred not having to answer to one. But still, sometimes it got lonely. Nonetheless, those thoughts would be pushed aside for her friend.

"Oh Renda I want to tell you so bad." He needed his paws as he tried to decide weather to say anything or not, but she was right he was ready to explode. "Oh I can't hold it in, HIS NAME IS BONSAI." He shout without realizing it, but it felt good. Then he lowered his head blushing.
"The thing is, I don't know if he likes me....I don't know if he likes boys is what I should say. I have dropped hints, and I feel as if he has also, but I can't be sure." his voice softened and he swept his hair out of his eyes. "I just don't want to say anything and risk losing a friend, he's my first friend since, well you."
That was when he noticed that she looked a bit lonely and he wrapped his arms around her "Renda, you know you have always been my number one girl. I don't think I could love any girl as much as you. So smile for me while you are here." He knew she didn't feel anything for him but friendship, but he had fallen for her the moment she stood up for him as cubs. He would always be her loyal friend when she needed him.

Her ears flattened against her head at the shout, and Renda couldn't help the smile that pulled onto her face. She sat back, listening to him, and returned the embrace. "He sounds like a nice Tokoro." She said, smiling a little and shrugging. Renda eyed him, and leaned back on her tail. "If I were you, Doku, I'd talk to him about how you feel. Y'know?" She grinned. "Otherwise you'll never know what could've been." Renda tilted her head to the side, and smiled.
"I'm happy for you, Dok. Really." And she was. She knew how hard it was to make friends, and she certainly knew Doku had as hard a time as she did, so knowing he was happy even with the new friend made her happy. For the briefest second, she felt guilty for almost bringing down both of their moods, but the guilt was fleeting. Doku wouldn't let her mope in his presence if he could help it, for which she was utterly grateful.
"So, what's he look like?" Her smile turned mischievious. "Is he cute?"

Doku lay down next to Renda "Renda, I have even more to tell you," he covered his eyes with his paw being a little embarrised about what he was about to tell her, "Do you remember Savitri, she is in Api, well we had a relationship not that long ago and she had kits, I'm a daddy. But she doesn't want to leave Api and she wants me to take the kids she feels she is to young to do it on her own. When I met Bonsai I was actually looking for a safe tree to raise them in. I wasn't wanting to meet a guy."
Doku raised his head and smiled over at Ren "I love my babies, when I go to collect them I'll bring them by so you can meet them if you like." Then is bright smile faided a bit. "Renda, If I tell him, how I feel and that I have kids" he sighed "lets face it until my four kits are on there own I won't have a relationship. They come first."
