About F&L and she didn't understand what was going on, I kind of gave her a funny look but told her to read the book.
I personally think its all about finding the unreachable dream, people go crazy just trying to find it. Yes, the drug use in the movie seemed to increase the insanity but it gave examples of the brain of a person on this mission.
I could be wrong, but, I am kind of stoned right now.
What do you think this movie portrays? What does it mean to you?

To me its about living the American dream, then later making sweet sweet love with that dream...yeah..

Man I think it's trying to show the pointlessness of the American Dream. I mean, what the ******** were they doing out there? Nothing happened, it was all pointless aside from a few dozen drugs trips. Just pointless.

i think its basically saying don't taking anything too seriously (like the american dream) cause its really not that great~

Since im not american, I have never been able to fully grasp the "dream". But it sure does make for a dramatic country.
