Gwen had made her way to the main land by herself for the first time in a long while. Usually Sawa accompanied her, but he was taking his turn minding the kits.
She shook the excess water off of her body and looked around. She had gotten accustomed to the small island, and she felt that the mainland was too big for her now. Not spotting anything to be concerned with, she decided to sun herself on a rock to get dry.

Lila had traveled to the main land to get away from her past. She had always loved the main land, it had always made her so happy and cheerful. She smiled as she walked toward beachward end of the island where there were a bunch of huge, smooth rocks where you could sun all day. That was one of Lila's favorite things to do on the main land, sun on the rocks.

Almost falling asleep under the gentle warmth of the sun, Gwen was brought to full attention when she heard something coming up the beach. She couldn't make out what the small speck was in the distance, so she lifted her head to breathe in the scent.
It was then that she realized the wind was not moving in the right direction for her... she was the one who was downwind from the other creature. Not wanting any problems to arise if it was something dangerous, she slunk down the rock she had been sunning herself on and hid beneath it, hoping that whatever was making its way down the beach wouldn't spot her.

A bounce in her step, Lila continued down the beach, almost at her favorite place on the main land - the rocks. They were a bunch of rocks, all smoothed flat by the ocean and years of use. Perfect for sunning or just plain napping. It was also a great place to meet new people.
She smiled, nearing the rocks, seeing that no one was nearby. She'd get to choose the best rock today! The best rock was the one that was all hot and steamy, from the sun beating down on it all morning. She loved those type of rocks. She really had no idea why, but she did. She loved it.

When Gwen saw the other Ulaya bouncing around so happily, there was no way she could believe they meant her harm. She came out of her hiding spot to see the stranger a little closer. "Hi!" She said, her bushy little tail wagging.

Lila bounced on toward the rocks, and sped up when she spotted a green female Ulaya, who seemed to be wearing some sort of pointy mask. There was also a pretty butterfly fluttering all around her. "Hi!" Lila shouted, speeding up even more. She loved meeting new Ulaya, and this one seemed really interesting.

Gwen smiled at how exuberant this girl was. She certainly seemed cheerful. "Hello!" Gwen replied, sniffing the other in greeting. "What brings you out this way? I don't usually see people out here."

Lila smiled and bobbed her head in greeting as she stepped in front of the other Ulaya. "Ah, I just love the feel of the sun when lying on the rocks. And you?" She grinned. Oh how she loved meeting new Ulaya!

Still grinning, she replied, "Same for me actually. I haven't really been here in awhile though." She thought she missed being on the main land, but the island was her home now. It was well protected from any predators, being in the middle of a huge lake. "So where are you from?" She asked.

"Ah, yes." She smiled, thinking of both the main land and the islands that surrounded it. All were so wonderful. All the land, the Ulaya, as well as all the other Ulaya-like species. Draco'ulaya and whatnot. Her grin faded at the question, replaced by a look of confusion. "I... I don't know." She shook her head. All she could remember was Aditya, her kids, and her new found grandkids. It was all new to her, these grandkids, but she liked it.

Gwen's grin faded as she saw the look of confusion on the other Ulaya's face. "You can't remember where you come from?" She asked, looking at her curiously. She had never met someone who didn't know where they came from. It must be scary not knowing your origins.

Lila cocked her head, thinking. No, the furthest she could remember back was... Aditya. A shiver ran down her spine as her mind mentioned his name. She turned to the other female and grinned half-heartedly, not really wanting to grin, but not really upset. "Nope! I don't remember where I came from, the furthest I remember back is... the birth of my kids." She decided to leave Aditya out and not spoil the girl's mind. A full-blown smile spread across her dface as she mentioned her kids. They were all so lovely... She shrugged. "But, that's okay. I don't mind not knowing where I came from." She smiled at the other girl, waiting for her to say something.

"Oh! You have children?" Gwen asked, leaving what must be an uncomfortable subject alone. "What are they like?"
She thought of her own children, still tucked away in their boxes. She couldn't wait to see them start walking. She smiled to herself, thinking how wonderful children could make you feel.
