Ok, since the topic "Are Hufflepuffs Duffers" and other such threads of simmilar nature have been done to death, I had an idea to kinda describe our own individual strenghths and weaknesses, such as whether or not we would be good at DADA or bad at potions or whater, instead of the generalizations of Loyal or Hard Working or Unbiased. Lets face it, we wouldn't be in the house if we didn't have at least one of those traits, so whats the point in kicking a dead horse?

I would be good at Transfiguration and Charms, because I have a healthy imagination, anfd it seems to me that one has to have the ability to picture the outcome of the enchantment in order to effectively cast those types of spells.

I would be bad at Arithmancy, I just have a mental block when it comes to numbers. I would be bad at COMC too, because the subject is something I would have a hard time concentrating on. I'm much more interested in marveling at the feathers on a Hippogriff than to pay attention to its origins and magical abilities. (DO they have magical abilities? I mean, they have wings, so their flying could hardly be classified as magical. And so what if they are a combination of types of animals? Look at the platypuss. I can't think of any logical reason they have been hidden from muggles.) Anyway, herbology I would have a similar problem with.

Potions, well, it probably wouldn't be my favorite subject, but I think I would be capable in it. I wouldn't get good grade from Snape by default, but I think I would do decently with Slughorn as a teacher.

Let's see...what haven't I covered? OH Divination. I'm a LOT like Ron in that field. I make lots of predictions without being aware of it. I make jokes or think something to myself that later turns out to be true or having something regarding that fact pop up later. I was thinking about watching the movie Parenthood on VHS the other day, but thought, oh I will make lunch first. I go down stairs and turn on the tv while I'm making lunch, and what is just starting? PARENTHOOD! I did the same thing with the identity of the HBP months in advance. I was tweaking when I read the book! The only problem is that like Ron I never know when I am making a prediction, so yeah...maybe if I constantly say my thoughts aloud? heh

Hmmm...I might be good with ancient runes, cuz from wat I gather its a lot like learning to read a foreign language, and I can read foreign languages (I can't alway speak them to fluently but I can read ok. I'm learning Japanese and I really like the reading part, but not so good at generating my own thoughts for conversation.)

And flying...I would like to try it, but I have a small fear of hieghts, but since I can grasp the broom at all times, I probably wouldn't feel too scared...

So how about all of you? What kind of Hufflepuff are you?

Anywho, I think I would be pretty good at potions, except for the whole Snape hating non-slytherins part. If you were talking about the subjects as the subject, and not as Hogwarts, then potions would definitely be my thing. Perhaps charms..but I wouldn't be a master at it. =/ It's tough memorizing all those spells.

Divination...I guess it's alright, as long as Trelawney isn't involved.

And..I think those are all the important subjects..

EDIT: OH! Transfiguration. Hmm..I would do ok in the class, I suppose. DADA...Wow..I'm actually not quite sure about that one.

Hmmm...

I would excell in Herbology, because I seem to have an unusually great love for plants of all kinds. heart

I would most likely fail DADA because I'm not exactly the bravest person you would meet. ninja

I would do well in Potions because when you think about it, it's kind of like a cooking class. Now normally, I would say I'd fail because I suck at cooking. xp But I love to cook, and if I had to take the class(which you do) then I'd get better and do well as well as like it!!! xd cool

I would do well in Charms because that just sounds like the kind of subject I'd like to do!!! blaugh

Hum... I'd be good at Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, and Defense Against the Dark Arts. Maybe Herbology...

I'd be horrible at Aritmancy, I'm not good with numbers, and I'd also be bad at Antient Runes. sweatdrop

I'm not an athletic person, so I'd probably be drawing, writting, or reading in between classes. smile
