Hello Girls!

My boyfriend started dating earlier this year and I know I've found the one. He is everything I've ever wanted and more! When I met him I got diagnosed with this serious disease. And it has put me on bed rest for most of the days. I've been sick since March.

But last week my boyfriend he is in the Naional Gaurd and left for more training to be an officer. He won't get back until Aug 9th. This is really hard for me. I write him everyday. I got my first letter today but he sent it a week ago. I was wondering. Do the men have very much time to write? What do you do to occupy your time?

God Bless.

You kinda find something to do, for me I do a mindless activity, like crochet or knitting.
they don't have too much time, but thats nice he wrote you.

My boyfriend is in Iraq and he doesn't really have time to write that often. Sometimes you just have to find something to keep your mind and hands busy. I read a lot and write (poetry and stories) a bit too. Something I used to do alot was duct tape crafts. i would make purses and wallets and things and give them as gifts for Christmas. There's a really great book called "Got Tape" that's really good for craft ideas. and i agree that knitting or crocheting can be good, as well as sewing and needlepoint.

my boyfriends in basic training for the army. it depends on where hes stationed and how fast the mail is. normally mail takes about 5 to 7 days *business* excluding sunday cause mail doesnt get sent on sundays XD
i try writing to mine every single day, just telling him about my day, it helps them alot, knowing whats going on back home, rassures them. they dont get ALOT of time to write, so dont expect a long letter from them for awhile. itll come soon, regularly. and to coccupy yourself? you can start a hobby thing or go buy video games, go hang out with friends, just stay active, or else youll sit at home bored waiting for mail :/

my fiancee is going into basic in november, so i still have him right now, thank goodness. but my father was in the navy and i remember that there was one year I only saw him 24 days. He was on a 5 year station with a carrier, and so it was hell trying to get snail mail through to him. right now i am greatful for the speed of email, but when my love goes to basic... -sigh- dang is it going to be rough.

there is not one day in almost 10 months that we haven't at least spoken to each other. even if we are mad, we still talk.
gah.

its going to be hell.

thankfully im going to be so busy i won't have time to miss him as much. between a full time job and school, im running ragged as it is. -sigh-

but try to stay sane with reading. I try to do at least one thing for myself every day if i can spare the hour or so. its the only thing that helps.

<33 and i crochet too !
