 "Aaaaeeeeooolus! Guess what, guess what? We're almost there!" cried Theia as she bounced happily, several feet ahead the navy blue ulaya. It had been hours, no days, no YEARS since she had decided to go on this little sojourn. They had eaten nothing but berries and spring water, slept under stars, forever trudging toward the distant line of mountains and she, herself, had saved Aeolus from drowning in a river, oh, what a hero she was...but of course, that was all the works of little Theia's imagination as she happily bounced towards her destination and in fact, they had only been traveling for several hours. There seemed to be hardly anything to do, so of course, she went about imagining things, stretching the minutes into days, and thinking up a truly wonderful, glorious tale to tell her parents and sister when she got home.
The distant mountains that they were aiming at to find the volcano, was indeed now a few miles ahead, already towering over their heads, the peaks stuck in the clouds above. Theia squealed happily, soon, she bet that they would see a volcano! Her heart leapt at the very thought, what fun it would be!((Continuation of this rp.))

 Aeolus sighed as he watched Theia bounce, did she ever get tired!? "Yeah, I see it..." He blinked, wondering if there really was a volcano among one of these mountains... He blinked, smoke... Yep, there had to be if there was smoke and soot obviously. But then... that would have to mean it was still an active volcano. Dammit... The pads of his paws ached and it was blistering hot with humidity to top off that, worst of all there was Theia, what more did he need? I'm only human! Not some fairy tale God like I told Theia when she was a runty kit... Aeolus sighed, it was too hot...
He blinked, seeing the largest mountain being in the middle, the smoke seems to being coming from the top of it... Dammit, I don't want that one to be the volcano! No way I'm going to climb that... "Uh, Theia, let's climb the mountain in front of us so we can look at all the other at a birds eye view..."((I really wanna throw in my knowledge about volcanoes but that'll make the rp no fun and boring... D: ))

Theia blinked and nodded,"Okie-dokeys then....and umm...what's a birds eye view?" She paused, and widening her eyes in surprise as she asked,"So you are going to use your magical wizarding powers to turn us into birds and we are going to fly over ze mountains?" She bounced happily up and down at the very though, oh, what fun it would be, she always wondered how it would feel to fly, the wind blowing against her fun as she soared in between the fluffy white clouds......"Ah well, let's get going then! I can't to see ze volcano!"

"Birds eyes view is when you just look at everything from above," he said, totally knowing what she was thinking. "Yeah, yeah..." He sighed and went onwards, hoping that the mountain they were hiking didn't have too difficult terrain. Lucky though it doesn't have a steep start... He thoughts as they began to climb up it. And lucky it doesn't look very difficult, just trees, grass, boulders, and the works... He hoped his eyes didn't deceive him though and it was as simple as it looked.
After a few hours they were half-way to the top, Aeolus looked at the sky, the sun setting quickly and everything becoming dark in a matter of minutes. "Let's rest here for tonight to conserve some energy, and wake early in the morning and continue," he said, lying down on a flat boulder. "I don't want to hear any protests," he said as he closed his eyes. He twitched, hearing a slight rumble, but ignored it, thinking it must have been his imagination due to dehydration.

"Oh." replied Theia, a bit let down, she wanted to see what it was like to be a bird...Ah well, there was always that lovely lovely volcano that they were looking for! Yet strangely, the mountain that they were climbing looked, well, just like a normal mountain, nothing unusual. Was there really a volcano nearby? She shrugged, as long as they kept trying, they would definitely find a volcano in the end.
She blinked, it was dusk already? How did time travel that fast? When Aeolus said that they should stop for the night, she almost pouted and protested, but at the thought of sleep, her head went slightly dizzy...sleeping was fun. She fell fast asleep as soon as her head touched the ground. In her dreams, she heard a slight rumber, there goes my stomach......

Aeolus yawned and cracked open his eyes, the moon was full and hung high in the air still, there were no stars so besides the silver plate it was just darkness. He blinked, not feeling so sleep anymore, must be the rock... He got off and stretched, feeling his spine crack a couple times. Yep, it's the rock... He sniffed the air, out of reflex, and looked towards Theia. they both were probably going to be hungry when it was morning... Quickly and quietly he padded away, to look for squirrels and berries, whatever there was available in the mountain.
An hour later he came back, with a few forest critters on his back and a pouch in his mouth made out of leaves carrying many berries. He looked at the sky, the sun was going to rise soon... Quickly he set the food down and climbed back onto the rock.

Theia opened her eyes bearily, the bright brilliant rays of the sun made her temporially blind as she rubbed her eyes wearily. As soon as she good see, she looked around curiously, where was she? Then the past nights events caught up with her, and once more, she was filled with her hyperness, she was going to see a volcano! Looking to her right, she noticed Aeolus still sleeping on that big hard rock and pounced on him,"Aaaaaeeeeoooolus! Waaaaake uuup! Time to go and find ze volcano!"

Aeolus growled, still a bit tired. "Get off," he got up and shook himself off. "Let's eat first, don't wanna continue on an empty stomach." Opening the pouch of berries he took his share among with some of the meat that he had caught. "If you're still hungry we can looks for stuff along the way," he said, as he started to eat. He looked at the sky, the weather was just as bad as yesterday... This sucks... His eyes looked over the berries he had gotten, making sure he didn't accidentally get any yew berries since he had been tired at the time.

Theia tilted her head,"Food?" Then her nose caught the sent of berries and meat and bounced happily towards the source. Her tummy grumbled with annoyance as she bit into her share of the food, boy did it taste wonderful...after all, doesn't food taste the best to a starved person? "Thankies," She said happily, her mouth full of berries.

Aeolus nodded his head once in reply. Hmmm... maybe I should have gotten some yew berries, but it's too late, and I can hope that she chokes... Sighing in regret, he continued eating, and eventually finishing. Alright, let's continue on then..." He looked behind him, towards the point of the mountain, how far away it seemed... He frowned, for a second feeling like he was homesick, but then again, he didn't have a home.

Theia finished eating her berries and meat, and wiped her mouth with one paw and started to bounce up and down once more,"Okie-dokeys then!" When she noticed that Aeolus looking up at the mountain peak, she looked up too, it looked rather far away, but closer than the day before when they were miles away. She smiled and exclaimed excitedly,"Do ya think that we can get all ze way up there today?" Her green eyes were bright with joy and excitement.

Aeolus nodded, "yep, if we get started now." Stretching once more he began to pad up the rock path, avoiding sharp or loose stones. He looked at his pads, one already had a cut from yesterday, and he swore that by the time they reached the top all the skin from his pads would be gone. He sighed, how could Theia stand this? The terrain, the weather, the fear of something bad happening? That was probably the only thing he admired about her. Though, he had to admit, for the first time in ages he was kinda having... "fun". He lowered his ears, yes, at least he had something more to look back on when he was old and ugly.

"Okie-dokeys, let's go then!" and with that Theia started to bounding up the rocky path, her bright green eyes dancing merrily and not a care in the world for what would be the state of her paws by the time that she finally got to the top. Absentmindly, she wondered who had made the rock path, was it just naturally there or was there some ancient civilization living there? Ah well, she shrugged, not like it mattered or not just as long as the path was there.

Aeolus blinked as he watched her bounce, "no, seriously, how are your pads doing? It's not very fair to your body if you don't realize pain." ...Why do I care how her health is? I want her to die, dammit! He sighed, he probably must still think of her as a kit needing looking after. but she's not. so I really shouldn't even care if she starts to tumble down this mountain all the way to the bottom. for a moment he considered pushing her down himself.

"Hmmm...?" asked Theia stopping in midbounce turning around to look back at the navy ulaya. Then she looked at her pads, one had a little cut and was bleeding slightly, but all the others were fine, just a bit scraped her and there. She shrugged, what was did a little bleeding matter? It was just a bit like...ummm...ketchup. Then she grinned, and replied happily,"All is good...what about you?"
