Introduction It began with two messages, originating from Port Hollow Bay and Gamelroot, respectively. One (from Gamelroot), was penned in elegant script and read: Quote: "Help wanted: Resourceful, experienced men of solid constitution for the procurement of certain goods from dangerous country." It was signed Darien Lisney, who was the contact for said announcement and happened to also live in Gamelroot, in Lisney Manor. The second message (originating on the other side of the continent), spread through Port Hollow Bay , the surrounding regions, and somehow got as far as Kruk's Harbor to the east. It went thus (for it wasn't written down): Quote: "Money-making opportunity in the works, put out by the Mac'Aodhs. They're lookin' for all types: Performers, journeymen, brewers, fish packers, alchemists, hunters, bodyguards... Maol himself told me brother, they'll pay ten times the goin' rate to all survivors! No lie, and cross me smithers." It was obvious to most who lived in either city had heard tell of either the Aristocracy or the Mac'Aodhs, another lucrative deal had been struck between factions. Tongues, of course, wagged freely with stories of prior deals, where one or the other group had somehow gotten the short end of the stick, and the offended faction had sworn revenge-- until another business opportunity would show itself.
However, to those desperate for the offered reward, or looking for a change of pace, a fast way out of their present fix, or hoping to die a glorious death perhaps, the offer might seem quite reasonable-- even tempting.

Port Hollow Bay: The largest port in Espion. Serves as the primary shipping and trade center for the continent, and is nearly twice the size of Port Clarette. Very diverse populace, and remains a strictly enforced neutral ground for the sake of business. Troublemakers, thieves and anyone caught making dishonest transactions are promptly thrown out of town and their goods are confiscated. Wasenbriar: There is little to be said about this rather average and unimpressive city. But four times a year, it is the most popular place on the continent. Wasenbriar is the home for all of Espion's Seasonal Festivals. At the turn of each new season, beings of nearly every race and status fill the town walls to bursting for three days and nights of camaraderie and celebration. It is no coincidence that Wasenbriar is practically next door to Jongleur territory--a fact that guarantees the attendance of the finest musicians and artists in the world. Gamelroot: Home to several core families of the Aristocracy, particularly Darien Lisney and other assorted Lisneys. Gamelroot is happily situated scant hours from the eastern coast of Espion and within 2 or 3 days of Forrenaft point. Hence, Gamelroot is visited regularly by merchants with imports from Naroahan, and has a bustling economy. Factions of interest

Rules 1. No god-modding. [one warning, that's all, after that you get banned] 2. Literacy, their is no need for novel long post, but at least some degree of effort is needed, one or two paragraphs please. Writers block is well known, if your suffering, don't worry, just keep your character with the group so to say. 3. Language. Curse all ya want, gaia has a word filter, get over it. Just keep it reasonable with in their character please. 4. Romance is fine, keep it PG 13 or I'll ban you. 5. Be active, post regularly, communicate OOC. If you're going to be absent, let me know and I'll see what can be worked out to keep your character in the plot. If it's been four or five days and I haven't heard from you, I'll be forced to move your character to the side for you, or assign someone else to do it. I dislike this but if needed will do it regardless.

An existing character can be carried over from the other continents, provided they are in only one roleplay at a time. For instance, a character in Naroahan can decide to cross the ocean to Espion. This means they leave the roleplay they were in and enter a new roleplay in Espion. This is perfectly acceptable since the continents are both in the same world and thus intertwined.
Single-player + NPC posts - This is a fun little formula for exercising personal creativity while contributing to the story as you see fit. This is especially helpful when a player leaves the thread for good, but its main purpose will be to expand playability and increase story progression. Follows the same basic principle as the cooperative post, except it involves only one player and any additional NPCs he/she wishes to include. Please understand that if you choose to bring an NPC into existence, it's another thread that needs maintenance, however little. - Generic characters (i.e. characters that aren't named, such as random peasants) can be created and destroyed without regard, and no record of them is required. There are enough expendable people mucking about that a casual conversation with them won't harm the story. ~~~~~ Zuzu: A light elemental type summon that resembles a floating basketball of white goo. Although small, it's powerful, and rather easy to control with a kind heart and good will and intentions. But becomes near impossible to control by thous with thoughts of vengeance or evil. Light Magic: Dancing Lights-Figment torches or other lights. Blinding light- causes blindness Holy Magic: Minor Healing- takes up to three posts to bring subject back to full health. Disrupt Undead- destroys one undead Shield- Invisible disc gives cover and blocks Dark attacks Original: Moan- A slow and deep moan that inflicted fear and regret to though with dark hearts and wills, and creates a sense of sorrow for others to help drive a flame to help them in thous with good and rightness hearts. Mana Stab: Allows the user to concentrate mana then release it to to physical damage in the form of a 10 foot spike extending from ones body. The spike it self is a round halve inch in diameter, and can be easily cut from the side, and if cut fades away instantly, but its near impossible to cut or stop at the tip, also, the spike can only travel in a strait line once fire. As a spell it can be use multiple times simultaneously, although it becomes highly draining when used as such.
All listed magic above is what can be used by Zuzu. Clouse himself is pour at other magic, normally not able to use it at all. Although he shows skill in controlling summonings, or at least his commonly used one.

Hi-Jump/Wall Jump: As it sounds, he can force Ki to build up in his legs then release it while jumping to boost him way up, near 20 to 30 feet, in the air. Or he use the ability to land from high falls with out harm to himself, as long as he lands on his feet. The draw on this ability is that he can only use it properly when shifted, if hes in his human form hes lucky to get 10 or 15 feet in the air do to a lack of confidence and the fact that his legs can't stand the full force of the fall. A second effect of his Ki jumping is the drain, although minor per jump and fall, it piles up rather quick in a all out fight.
6th Sense Whiskers: When he shifts into his more beastile form the whiskers on his nose can pick up pressure waves up to ten or so feet around him giving him a kind a warning to ongoing things around him, the ability is a shared trait of other beastile like himself. Do to its range its not able forewarn him enough to dodge a sword swing, but it is enough were he can move his vital organs and mussels out of the way, or block if given the right angle. The down side is that if even one whisker gets harmed or cut off it blows all his accuracy with the ability, becoming base line useless, and can even through off his balance for a second or so.
Dragon Sight: A basic Dragoon ability, were one forces Ki into the eyes to warp the vision as needed, ether granting them the ability to zoom up on a target from a distance, or cut out distance all together and have full focus on up close targets, when focusing on up close targets time seems to slow for the user as every detail is examined for an opening. The biggest draw back is the considerable drain and the fact that when in use the user becomes open to attack from the opposite range in use. Or in other words, if someone zooms up on a target, they loose the ability to see on coming attack from up close, and vise verso. He also can't use this ability properly unless shifted, due to his habits of fear and lack of confidence. ~~~~~
Weapons: Main: Dragoon Spear, a solid light metal spear that stands at about six and a halve feet altogether with blade, the spear head it self is about a foot long and razor sharp with out any sharp corners, in other words there no place on the spear head that will snag so it can be easily pulled out of whatever it was stabbed into, think it similar to a broad sword's blade. Over all the spear head can be used to stab repeatedly, or cut like a knife when held and swung properly. At the end of the spear is a small yet heavy metal tip that balances out the weapon. The spear itself has no powers, but carries a blessing, with in it self gives the weapon a natural upper hand against 'weaker' dark opponents, but nothing more. He carries no other weapons. Personality: Kind, goofy, fearful of fighting, strong willed. Goes beserk in battle after he shifts to his beastile form. Occupation: Dragoon in Training. Faction: N/A as of now. Brief Bio: Clouse was original abandoned by his true parents, and left to grow up in Bastille, although he was never aware of this fact and still is dumb to it having not yet received his ability to shift. Growing up around the mountain range it was only time before he slipped and fell to what would surly be his death, but before he hit ground a female Dragoon with white hair and red armor saved him, although he never learned her name he recognized her seal, she was a true master of the Dragoon art. Wishing to thank her, and having little else to do except help his foster parents farm, he started to train as a Dragoon in the city, he was never very talented, but a gift in magic showed itself in him, so he was given new training, this time by White Mages, a Helios Druidia monk was chosen to be he master, giving Clouse both magic training and spiritual training. While doing this he discovered summoning, finally, something he was good at. Using his new power he started to make his way as a promising Dragoon and White Mage apprentice, and now has been given the opportunity to a take a test like quest. If he succeeds he will become a full Dragoon and White Mage, then he can train under any master he so wishes of ether group, his superiors hope he'll take training under a fellow summoner although his thinking differs here. If he succeed he would be able to meat her again, that is the thought that drives him forward most days as he still feels indebted to her with his life. Although hes still plagued by a fear of fighting, and a lack of self confidence, his masters say its something he'll have to over come on his own, and in his own time, and place. Appearance: At first glaze he looks like a semi-normal teen and 5:9 in height and 215 pounds in weight with the exception of his light body armor sealed with the crest of the Dragoon on his shoulders. He has dark brown messy neck length hair, hazel eyes, and light untanned white skin. His clothing consist of simple brown pants and a semi-tight long sleeve shirt. His armor consist of form fitting light weight leg bracers, arm bracers, shoulder and thigh skirting, and a piece of light chest armor that raises up to a central point over the middle of his chest ever so slightly forming a kind of crumple zone. He also has a helmet like hat but never wears it unless forced to. Its made of brown leather and resembles a mage's/wizard's hat, but its more resilient and a little smaller. When he finally shifts his body changes considerably, becoming more, for lack of better word, rat like. His body as a whole becomes more slender and lanky-er pushing his height to 6:3, with his face coming out like a rats, with semi-long whiskers to boot that work in a similar ways to real rats whiskers[[look it up yourself]]. His ears grow out tall and long as well with small tufts of hair on the tips. His hands become stronger in a sense of grip and grow talon like claws. His feet become larger and clawed with talon like nails as well. His natural stance also shifts to his toes more so than his whole foot. He grows out a long and slender tail as well that helps him with balance in full motion. His entire body becomes covered in short, soft, light grey fur, while his speed, agility, and over all performance increase, with a exception to strength, witch in truth, decreases somewhat in his upper-body. His normally dark brown hair lightens in color to a golden brown and grows out to his mid-back and over his shoulders as a last effect. Other: Being rather inexperienced he can be fearful and slow to respond at times, although, once he had formed a resolve it be best to move out of his way, as he can still use a spear with the best of them. Faction: Currently his closet ties would be with that of the Helios Monks, but only indirectly. Other wise he'd do his best to takes sides with thous who would be the for the greater good. Strengths: Strong in mind and body, his will is like steel once set. Plus a trait of true potential flows in his blood that's now ready to reveal itself once he ether needs it or it simple comes out due to time. Sadly, he knows not of it. Weaknesses: Quite a few really, to begin with he dreadfully fearful of both heights and Minke. He can also freeze in fear during combat if he starts to lose or feels simple out matched, he can also be over defensive in fear of getting hurt, and complainy when the situation really doesn't call. NPCs Maon Mac'aodh Age: 40 Race: Human Location: Port Hollow Bay, Espion Ability: n/a Weapons: Average with daggers, unless inebriated. Personality: Charming, odd. Of the two self-proclaimed leaders of the Mac'aodhs, Maon is (outwardly) the more stable of the two. In a pinch, he's the voice of responsibility and sarcasm. In his cups, he forgets his age and cavorts like he's a strapping lad of twenty. He is rarely without a sardonic comment, and is hard to pin down for a straight answer. Brief Bio: Maon is the son of a shipwright, and has spent his recent years as helmsman and sometimes accountant for the Mac'aodh faction. Other: Maon is an excellent helmsman, haggler, negotiator and referee when the situation calls for it. Appearance: Tall, broad-shouldered, with a weathered face from much exposure to the elements. His dark eyes glitter beneath darker brows and rather shaggy black hair cut ragged about his face. His expression rarely changes except when he's bellowing. His eyes are his most prominent feature, stark and intelligent and aware.
Faolan Mac'aodh Age: 32 Race: Human Location: Port Hollow Bay, Espion Ability: n/a Weapons: Bare knuckles, and whatever's handy. Personality: Faolan is at home with the 'Bairn and brawlers as anyone ever was. His roots are rumored to be in pirating, very easily believed at first glance. He is the more likely to instigate a brawl, and has on many an occasion. He's also a hopeless romantic in his own, odd sort of way. Brief Bio: He started the son of a locksmith, but found he much preferred picking locks to locking them. The penchant for finding treasure stemmed from this, and Faolan has been unlocking boxes of all sorts since boyhood. He took the surname Mac'aodh, as many have since devoting themselves body and soul to the faction, and is brother to Maon by marriage. Appearance: Faolan is lanky, ruddy, with a mouth that seems a little too wide for his narrow face. Other: Faolan somehow wooed and married Maon's sister, several years back. The act nearly got him killed but ended in a lucrative partnership with Maon Mac'Aodh.
Darien Lisney Age: 47 Race: Human Location: Gamelroot, Espion Ability: n/a Weapons: None Personality: Darien loves to talk and will do so even if there is no one else in the room. He lives by his sarcasm, wit and self-proclaimed good looks. He measures success as one's ability to gain what one wants in the smartest way possible. If he sees something he wants, he finds a way to get it. To him, others are a commodity, an asset to be utilized. He will use anything and anyone to get what he wants. He is personable and a good conversationalist; if anything, Darien cannot be accused of being shy. He is a great lover of art and decadence. He owns a house but rarely stays in it, instead packing his trinkets and possessions into it, rather like a museum. He travels often, as much to keep his eye and influence on the world as to stave off boredom. His love of himself is closely followed by his love of females, and he is rarely without female companionship. If he doesn't have it, he'll go looking for it. He treats all relations as a sort of business agreement and cannot for the life of him seem to open up to anyone. He has found that living for himself has served very well to this point and can't think of a good reason to stop doing so now. He generally leaves fighting up to his bodyguards, which has served him very well up to now. Brief Bio: Darien was steeped in the Aristocracy ways since birth, and it shows in his every move, every purchase. He is of the oldest bloodline of that faction, and has spent years building his influence with every family of wealth and import in the major cities of Espion. Appearance: Darien stands a good 3 inches short of 6 feet. He stands very straight to make himself seem taller than he is. His black hair is silky straight, framing an Asian face and eyes that resemble garnets.. His skin is pale and unmarked. His tastes in color range from bright white and pastels to earth tones, and he never wears the same outfit twice in one week.
