It's Friday. What else is there to do but have a good time?

The facebook event was pretty straightforward: Come down to Boxers for a night of drinking and merriment. Underagers fear not! Only the bar cards, booths and tables are available for soda or a little Giant Brand Ice Tea *Cough spiked drinks cough*.

Jack, having been the one to start the event, was already down at the Pub, enjoying his recent birthday with a glass of beer and ruckus conversation.

"Bout time you joined the ranks." Alex slapped his roommate on the back in congratulations, having finally reached the legal age to drink. Honestly, A;ex didn't drink much himself, but he was steadily enjoying his White Russian as he enjoyed the smalltalk with Jack.

Hardly anyone was here just yet, certainly no one they knew, so they passed the time drinking and ranting about nothings for as long as they could stand it. "So hows your ******** buddy. yeah, how's that workin' out for ya?" he joked as he shot back another swig of his drink...

"Bout time you joined the ranks."

His roommate's forceful slap on the back felt oddly muffled, but Jack chalked that up to the beer in his hand. It was his second Yeungling here at the pub, but the celebration had started long before that. Roughly midnight the day prior, to be precise.

"I'll drink to that!" He hooted cheerfully, taking a long, delightful pull of the amber liquid in his class. He swiveled in his stool to survey the other attendees of the pub. Most were townies, a few students he recognized from the College's small community. None were very familiar.

His and Alex talk had certainly digressed as the alcohol flowed. What started as a discussion of the general attractiveness of the new freshmen girls quickly degraded, as it usually did, to a metaphorical 'p***s waving competition' on each other's sexual prowess.

"So hows your ******** buddy. yeah, how's that workin' out for ya?"

Jack swiveled back to the bar folding his arms across the table as he did so.

"What? You mean Jen? Or maybe Tracey? There are just so many," he joked, eying his beer. He was right, though. Jen wasn't present for the festivities, something very unlike the rambunctious senior. The Irish Rose that was his, as Alex so quaintly put it, was never one to pass of a night of drinking and mischief. Whats more, the girl lived off campus a mere two blocks from a pub.

"She must still be getting ready," Jack concluded as he pulled out his cellphone, flipping it open and scrolling down to her number. He quickly texted: "Where r u? @ Boxers." and flipped it shut. Returning to conversation with his friend.

"What about you? Any luck with Lilly, or are you done barking up that tree?" He inquired, destroying the last of his beer and quickly requesting another.

Colin walked into Boxers with the manner of a man who had been in this place a hundred times. He had only been in Boxers a couple of times, but it was a bar none the less, and since he had turned 21 over the summer he had had plenty of experience in these kinds of places. He had walked down to Boxers, since he did not know how much he was gonna end up drinking, and he didn't want to end up needing to leave his car off campus.

He immediately recognized a few people from around campus and then he heard a familiar voice among the soft babble of the customers.

"What about you? Any luck with Lilly, or are you done barking up that tree?" Colin turned his head to that voice and saw Burk and Alex sitting at the bar. He walked over to the two and sat down on Burks left side.

"He's only done with her cause she doesn't have blue hair." The joke was obvious to any of the three there. Alex had, once, made a comment about blue hair being sexy, and never lived it down. He ordered an Australian import beer (a Feral White) while listening for the response from Alex.

"He's only done with her cause she doesn't have blue ******** off," Alex replied to the incoming posse-mate, who had just sat down to join the fun, "Blue hair is sexy!"

He had obviously begun to feel the effects of this, his fifth drink, after another swig. He had been ordering doubles all night, but figured that, by taking it slow, he could enjoy his drinks without too much weighing down on his sobriety. Obviously, he was beginning to disprove himself.

"And anyway..." he continued, obviously aiming for a counterattack at Colin, "At least I had sex with a blue haired chick, and you haven't...come to think of it...you haven't had sex with anyone ever at all!"

Stepping into the pub, she examined the Juniata students and couldn't exactly explain to herself why she had followed that facebook ad. Only a few months ago, she had moved to this new town, and it was nothing like her home. She knew absolutely no one in the entire establishment, but she had wanted to change all that. Back at home, she had plenty of friends, but wanted to chase her dream of living by herself.

"Maybe I shouldn't have left." She thought, taking a seat on a stool at the bar. As of yet, she wasn't legal to drink, but she was all right with that. If she started drinking wildly, she would lose her wits. And what good would she be if she couldn't remember the musical notes at a concert?

"Um.. can I have a cherry coke?" She glanced upward at a man behind the stand and smiled. He hurried to deliver the order, and she nodded her head, placing a few dollars on the table before sipping the sweet soda through her straw. "Thanks." Though she had been by herself for only a week or so, her manners as a genteel rich-girl didn't disappear.

Jack allowed his friends to argue over what women they had slept with and what unnatural their hair colors were. He had more pressing matters to attend to.

"Black n' Tan!" He called to the barkeep, who was handing what looked like coke to a young woman he wasn't entirely familiar with. As the man can down to his end of the bar with the glass of amber delight, he paid and took a swig.

"Jeebus," he muttered as his friends continued to argue beside him. "Remind me again why I'm paying for my own drinks on my birthday, again?" He took another swig and ventured a glance down the bar to the girl drinking the coke. She looked young...maybe a Freshman? He wasn't sure. And then it hit him. He had seen her around the arts building and in Swigart, the converted house now used as practice rooms for choir and orchestra alike.

He leaned forward to better place himself in view of her and called out. "Yo!....Er..." what was her name again? Sandra? Shelly? Sarah? Sarah. "Sarah!" he finished, after a slight pause. He motioned with his head for the girl to join them.

Taking a glance at the loudmouth who seemed to be calling a girl out, she stared at him for a moment before she noticed that he was waving at her. "Why is he talking to me?" Lifting her coke, she took it with her toward the area of the bar the man and his friends were located. She did say she wanted to find new friends, yes, but this wasn't what she had in mind. Then she began to regret coming to the pub in the first place. She had expected this.

Taking a seat beside him, she raised an eyebrow suspiciously. He looked as if he was drinking a little too much. "You really were calling me, huh? My name isn't Sarah. It's Sierra." She couldn't help but laugh. The mistake was common with her, and she always wondered why she wasn't just named Sarah.

"And I know you. At least I think I do. Jack, right?" Turns out, she spent way too many hours on facebook, and she could name plenty of people simply by seeing their faces once online.

"And anyway... At least I had sex with a blue haired chick, and you haven't...come to think of it...you haven't had sex with anyone ever at all!"

Colin shrugged off this attack it was a standard from his egomaniac friend. He quickly redirected with a bit of trivia that was never less funny, "Well, at least neither of us are into that 'scaly' s**t like some of our other acquaintances." Alex, no matter how many drinks he had already consumed, would know exactly who the target of that jab was. Colin immediately switched tact as he noticed Burk waving at a girl from down the bar.

She came up to sit next to them. She looked a bit nervous, Colin thought because she had just been invited over to sit with three guys. He had never seen this girl before, having just arrived back on campus a short time before school started.

"You really were calling me, huh? My name isn't Sarah. It's Sierra. And I know you. At least I think I do. Jack, right?"

'Damn,' Colin thought, 'Burk knows a lot of people.' Sometimes Colin wondered if he didn't get out enough, and, being completely honest, he probably didn't. He sat quietly taking in the scene that was unfolding in front of him. He was always interested in meeting new people, and this Sierra seemed like a nice enough person to know.

"Well, at least neither of us are into that 'scaly' s**t like some of our other acquaintances."

Tad walked in as Colin aimed an all too common joke at their usually not present aquaintance. "C'mon man...He's not even here. Is it really nessicary to bash 'im?" Tad joked as he sat down at the bar with a fump. "Excuse me, good sir!" he said to the bartender, "A Guiness for me, if you have any please," he ordered, hsi manners intact as always.

"You really were calling me, huh? My name isn't Sarah. It's Sierra. And I know you. At least I think I do. Jack, right?"

He turned at the voice that spoke to Jack. 'Oh...She ain't bad...' he thought as he looked at the girl. Being as friendly as anyone else in the group he was always willing to me a new friend.

"And I know you. At least I think I do. Jack, right?"

Jack was vaguely aware as Tad ordered his drink, what his his loud voice, but he attention was focused on the girl beside him. He nodded, taking a sip. "Sierra. Yeah. Jack." He muttered, feeling his speech starting to slur ever-so-slightly.

"I don't think I saw you at all last year. Are you a transfer?" he asked pleasantly, taking another small sip and cracking his knuckles. A habit of his.

"Well, at least neither of us are into that 'scaly' s**t like some of our other acquaintances."

"HA!" Alex belted out a loud single laugh as he knocked back the last of his sixth drink. "John, you weird ********!" He had begun drumming on the bar to something he was humming in his head, but couldn't remember the name of it. Some song that had just popped into his mind and stuck like a bad habit. He was in a world of his own at that point in time, just enjoying himself in a fashion he didn't typically invest too much time in, soaking up the simplicities of pure inebriation.

"You really were calling me, huh? My name isn't Sarah. It's Sierra. And I know you. At least I think I do. Jack, right?"

"Sierra!" He blurted out once more, making a complete and utter fool of himself as he spun around on his stool to face the freshman girl, pointing his index finger no less than three inches from her face, "That's amazing! *hic* y'know, my...my dog was a half Sierrian Husky! She was aweso--"

*thud*

He smacked face-first into the floor not entirely unlike a television sitcom. He lay there for a few moments, before leaning his head--hard pressed against the hardwood floor--to his drinking buddies, "I'm alright..."
