Mind if I pick your brain on macro equipment? What did you use for these? And what opinions do you have on "macro" zooms, reversing lenses, using magnifying filters, bellows, and any of the other discount options that create quirky faux macro.

I don't do much of it myself, but I have a 70-300 from sigma with a "macro" mode, and the various different methods of achieving closer focusing are interesting to me, though I fear I haven't done the proper research to see what the real difference is in image quality, quirks, and abberations.
