In school, you exceed normal limits in a particular area. You are the only one in this school as gifted as you are in this subject. Now, when you are invited to be one of the special students with the privilege to go to the Amazon with all of the other gifted students in your school for the summer, you accept with no second thoughts. But, when the teacher that came as your escort mysteriously disappears one night with all of your communication and navigation devices and some of your food, those second thoughts begin to come back to you. And it will take all of your gifts put together in order to survive in this merciless and unforgiving world where nature rules and there are no laws.

History: At a young age, Maeve enticed herself in the wonders of medicine. She read books and reports, relishing every word. She wanted to know all that there was to know about the workings of not only the human body, but the workings of the mind, too. She dressed in a dark fashion and kept herself secluded from most of the students, only allowing herself to get close to a choice few students. When her teachers discovered her talent, they invited her to take classes in medicine and psychology at the nearby college every day in stead of P.E. and Homeroom. She wasn’t picked on, because she was too Bohemian for it to matter when people thought of her. However, people did not think highly of her, and she often heard people speak of her behind her back.

History: Skye's parents are still alive but were close to dying in a car accident. Skye also was near to death, but a surgery saved her life. During the sugery, something suppositly went wrong and caused her heart to randomly speed up whenever Skye did any activities such as running, making her speed drastically increase. Skye freely decided to go on the feild trip, but has doubts because of her shyness and ability to open up to people.

History Wey's life has always been uneventful. This uneventfulness carried on into his school life. As such, he was picked on. Finaly when Wey was ending elementary school he found out his skill with construction. Soon he took welder's classes, which he flew through with flying colors. When the teachers noticed that he had this skill they invitted him on the trip.

History: First off, his father killed himself when Gabe was about eleven or so. That affected the entire family. He became unable to really care about anyone that he found attractive other than uncontrollable lust. His mother began working multiple jobs and she was never home anymore to care for him. Thankfully, he was an only child, so she only had to spend money on him and herself. He is planning on going to college, but only through funds of ex boyfriends and girlfriends.

History:At a younge age Jinx began to exceed her families expectations. She took dance, advanced classes, was popular, did sports, but nothing seemed to satisfy what she was looking for. Jinx loved helping people. Not like helping old ladies across the street but mentaly. Jinx had one problem, she hated people. She hated her own race for destroying the enviorment and making the once beautiful thriving earth a place where animals were extinct and garbage littered the streets. She worked hard to clean and help the enviorment, she helped with charitys and began helping people in Africa. But it still wasn't enough. Jinx began drawing. Her drawings were amazing, they stood out, were beautiful, it was as if they lived and breathed. She began taking college courses and art shows. She made home designs and clothing designs, she had found her empty space and filled it. She keept the intellegence and lessons she had learned but soon found herself running after her true passion. Art.

History: Always being picked on for spending his free time reading up on things and knowing almost everything, Jet started to hate life. One day, when walking home from school, he was jumped by a group of kids who had seen him give a presentation in class on badgers and heard the teacher tell him how great he had done. After that, once his wounds healed, he got into martial arts, mastering it to the point where he went to state competitions and winning all of them. He has countless trophies showing off his talent, and loves being recognized for it.

History: Having felt alone and secluded and alone for most of her life, Shakira begged her parents to allow her to take dance lessons. She knew that if she could make herself good at something people would probably like her, at least a little more. When she took the classes, she immediately knew that dance was her calling. Tango, hip-hop, slow, you name it. She could do it all. She als took martial arts, knowing that it would help her. Soon, she found herself a black-belt, teaching some of the students who had been taking lessons longer than she. Once her confidence was up, she allowed herself to begin making friends. She still didn't have any best friends, but she could go up and start a conversation. Her goal is to be able to feel close to someone. She prays that her dream will come true.

Maeve swiped her card to pay for her lunch and walked into the crowded lunchroom. Turning left, it was almost automatic to walk to the table that she always sat at. She could see the person she was looking for. Holding her tray tightly with her right hand, she waved with her left to Skye. Skye had been her friend since the 2nd grade and she was her only friend. Maeve had never mind, but she wondered sometimes if her antisocailness bothered Skye. She brushed the thought off and took the seat next to her best friend.

Maeve smiled back at Skye and picked up a cheesestick. She didn't want to mention the invitation she had recieved before coming to lunch. She started a different conversation instead. "When's your next track meet?" she asked. Even though she wasn't a huge track fan, she came to all of her friends heat. After only hundreds of meets, she had started to somewhat understand the idea. Obviously, athletics were not her gift.

Maeve raised an eyebrow. "You okay? You seem a little..." she took a moment to think of a good word to describe Skye's odd behavior. "...skittish."

Maeve had to force down a smile. Skye could not keep a secret to save her life. Feeling some pity, Maeve decided to change the subject. "Did you get an invitation to go to the Amazon?" She could have bit her own tongue off for asking that. 'Why would you mention that? What if the answer is no?' Maeve knew the answer, however. She was curious. She really wanted to know. 'If Skye hasn't gotten an invitation,' she thought, 'I don't want to go.'

Maeve couldn't keep down an excited "YES!" as she threw her arms up to celebrate. Almost all of the students turned to look at her. She wasn't exactly the most enthusiastic person in the world. She glared at them. "What?" she asked. It was almost a growl. The students quickly turned back to their lunches.

Maeve smiled and thanked God. 'This rocks,' she thought. "Yes, if you are going, I am most definently going," she said. Then she thought. "Are you sure your doctor will allow it?"
