She is the Slayer. Welcome to SUNNYDALE Hey slayerettes! Everything five by five? Hope so because there is much to discuss. To get us started tell me which character you identify with most and why. Is there any character you simply can not stand, or that at first rubbed you the wrong way and eventually grew on you? On the flip side, any character you liked at first but ended up not loving? In your opinion, what was the most surprising plot twist? Is there anything you'd change for example writing out a character or a "that never happened" scenario. What effect would that have had? If you could own any item from the series what would it be? Please, answer these questions and pose your own. There is so much to talk about!

When the series was over I finally tuned into Angel
and yeah okay some of it is great but... pfft.
Never liked Angel's character. He's fun when he's evil Angelus but not fun enough.

Not one BtVS obsessed SE member aside from me? *lament*
I have every season on DVD, some trading cards, comic books, several paperback fictions, a gender studies book titled Sex and the Slayer
and a philosophy book [the have South Park and Simpson's philosophy too! What a world.] I've attempted fanfics and have my eye on a couple of action figures.
I might get a tattoo of the B logo. I know that last bit sounds like a bit... much. My name starts with B if that helps sweatdrop

I perosnaly did not like the series but I really enjoyed the movie. It seems like watching somethings as a cinematic experience is just more fun and exciting.

The movie amuses me, mostly because of Pee Wee Herman, oh so sorry... Paul Rubens
but of the series has so much more meat. Character development, complex relationships and witty dialogue.

I identified most with Willow, immediately, because I was the geek who got picked on all the time, and I was used for "help" with work in school too. Plus, I totally had the hots for Giles... like, immediately.

Always hated Angel. I just couldn't stand him. Angelus was fun, but not fun enough. (love the way the other poster said that)

I loved the early-version of Spike. As a villain he was amazing. WHY did he have to go and fall for Buffy?! He and Dru were awesome!! *shakes fist at Joss and his band of writers*

That hit me so unbelievably hard. Not even Joyce's leaving in S5 affected me as badly.

I want to write an AU fanfic so baaaaaad! One where instead of Joyce moving to Sunnydale with Buffy, it's her dad. You know things would be different with an over-protective father around. In the show he wasn't around much, and eventually just disappeared to Spain, but really... if he was taking care of Buffy as a single dad, he'd be all in her business, and he would've found out about the slayer stuff way earlier. That whole running-away thing would never have happened.
....but I bet Daddy Dearest and Giles would've met fists over it. ^_^ *WANTS*
If you could own any item from the series what would it be?
Ah, if we have to dream, dream big, right? I want Giles' apartment.
Realistically speaking, though, I want that duster from S4. You know the one. Giles is puttering around his apartment, cleaning, and comes across something in one of his books.
... I have something of a collection going. Dun judge. XD I'll explain if you're all good boys and girls....

Let's see...
I think I identified most with Willow and Spike...
Willow, because of the nerdy, outcast, "boys don't notice me, but I notice them" thing...plus she's great with computers.
Spike, because nothing ever seems to go his way, people seem to love making things incredibly difficult for him, and he's lay down his life for the one he loves - after all, he got his soul back for her.
It took me AGES to get used to Cordy, I liked her much better when she moved onto Angel...I still hate Captain Cardboard... Can't think of anybody I liked then hated...
I think the most surprising plot twist was S6 when Tara got killed off, I felt SO incredibly sorry for Willow. Totally understand why she went all Darth Rosenberg.
Would've written Riley and most of the stupid Intitiative stuff out. It was just boring and annoying. Would've let Buffy be normal for a while, date some real boys, then realize she's a** over teakettle for Spike.
Can I own a set? Lol, I'd loooove to live in Spike's Crypt. Would KILL to own his duster and the '58 DeSoto he drove.

I've dabbled in fanfiction but never finished any of them. Working on a couple right now and REALLY want to finish them. One of them is a That 70's Show crossover fic. It's wild. Only got the first chapter done but I can see it going places. A strictly BTVS fic that I'm kind of stuck on is Dru, Giles and Tara essentially having a tea party. Maybe you could help get me unstuck if we discuss it..? Dru is my very favorite character. EVER. Anya is a close second. So far as semi-obscure? I really like Amy the witch ..rat Ooh and Hallie/Halfrek and D'Hoffryn.. hmm maybe I should consider an Arashmahar fic? Nah. Finish what you start before diving in to new ones!

When she said "what about the trio's evil scheme?" the way she says it and the expression on her face is just so cool and then... eek Your rewrite with Daddy Dearest is awesome! I wish you would write it out even if only re-writing the pilot episode but ideally you would go over the first season. And holy WOW we think alike: "Ah, if we have to dream, dream big, right? Kendra felt too one-note for my tastes and I don't want to take away Dru's Slayer kill ..but it would have been nice to see some character development with Kendra. Sugar Tree Yay!
