I think of it more as a demented love song.
It's not about a ***** or a rapist of any kind.
It's Pablo Honey, the days when they were a little more self indulgent.

It's analysed in the book 'Touch Me, I'm Sick', which is about creepy love songs. I think it's referred to as 'passive stalking', where the person wishes they could be with somebody else, and they follow them around and stuff.
Stalking, yes, ******, no. =P.
