Hey everyone... I'm in the middle of reading Pride and Prejudice now ( the movie made me want to get the book), and I'm currently pondering my next selection. I think I may pick up "Northanger Abby", but I'm not sure.
To those whom have read it, is it worth buying it as my next novel, or is there another story you want to recommend? smile

I really enjoyed Northanger Abbey. I find it is the youngest of Jane Austen's novels. Catherine Morland, the main character, is only seventeen. It really shows how much you grow up around that age though, I found I could relate very much to her as I am that age myself. I adored Mr. Tilney while reading it. He reminds me of someone I know. So, to answer your question, yes I would most definatly recommend it. It is my second favorite of Jane Austen's books following Mansfield Park.

I just started reading it and it seems to be a quick read (at least for me) and you'll find it very enjoyable. It may be Jane Austen's first novel but it is still well written like the rest of her work. All the with and humor you need and it also names some other books of the time in it that may interest you. You should defiantly get it! Well worth it!

I am trying to buy all of Austen's works, though currently I only have P&P and NA

DO IT!!! You shall not regret it. Then watch both film versions. Personally, I love the new 2007 version with JJ Feild as Mr. Tilney, but the old one's okay, if a bit strange. It's my second favorite, almost beating P&P...Persuasion's also amazing. (tis my third favorite)
