Xan's Rules: 1▪ Be respectful. If you don't like it, chances are I won't either. 2▪ The customer is always right, within reason... I'll be kind enough to warn ya but after that I'll call for reinforcements. 3▪ This is my job so please act accordingly. No dancin' on the bar or billiard tables, this is a club not a brothel house. 4▪ If ya don't want to go home early then monitor your intake of alcohol. We don't need no outlaws spoilin' the fun for the rest of us. 5▪ I love conversation but there's only one of me so I'll be making my rounds regularly and get to know as many of ya as I can. 6▪ Also be nice to the Host in Training (stray), he's gonna take my place some day. ^^

So this was it, the official opening of the club. Xan had taken a little extra care in preparing a decent garb from his wardrobe for this event. It wasn't much but he felt like something straight out of a wild west movie. All that was missing was his guns, a damsel in distress and a black stallion to ride off into the sun set.
Oh well nothing to be said for it now. With his usual peach tea set on the table and his eyes gazing over the club's expansive walls, he felt ready for just about anything. Thankfully some of the customers he'd met during t he club's preparations would be attending making this whole thing easier to deal with. The rest he would simply get to know as the event took place. The whole time he sat with his tea a light flush came to his cheeks more out of nervousness then anything else. He wasn't used to these things but as usual he'd take it all in stride.

Halfway across the room from the entrance, she had politely disentangled herself from her brother and made her way over to one of the Hosts she recognized. While she did fully intend to meet as many of them as she could, it seemed, she didn't know, safer somehow to start with someone she knew. She stopped a few feet away from Xan and curtsied neatly before sitting down near him (but not too near, that would be forward and generally indicative of bad manners). "Good evening, Xanim," she said, merging her native language's respective suffix into his name. It was second nature, by now- when she went over to say hello to Brad, she would call him Bradnim just the same as any other host. It was only appropriate, after all.
"How are you?" She smiled- a little flushed, of course, because she wasn't quite sure how to act. It was quite one thing to speak to him at home, where she knew the boundary lines of hostess and guest. But here, the roles were quite reversed, and that unnerved her a bit. "You have been well since we last spoke?"

Xan's gaze wandered at the sound of fabric and the clicking of shoes. His attention falling on the young Hae-min he smiled politely standing to his feet as she came over. It was (to him) highly impolite to sit in the presence of a lady. He waited for her to take a seat before he did the same, situating his coat comfortably. "Ms. Hae-Min, I'm doing quite well thank you. The dinner was lovely if I didn't tell you enough already." He chuckled lightly noting the slight nervousness from the woman. He couldn't say she was alone in that but he managed well enough. At least she had come over to save him from the boredom. He wasn't sure how much longer he could take it before filling his stomach with a bit of wine instead of his usual tea. "Nice of you to come visit my table... I was growing a little bored all alone." He looked over the room then back to the woman before him. "Are you thirsty, I can have some tea brought over?" He offered. "So how have you been?"

She smiled happily, blushing a little. It must have been all right if he still remembered, since it was almost a full week and a half ago. "I not really thirsty," she said, with a helpless little shoulder shrug. "Thank you. It very kind to offer." Hae-min bobbed her head in a sketch of a seated bow, then straightened and looked away demurely. So awkward, she lamented silently, but then she found a sweet smile again.
"I have been well. My little brother come to live with me." She giggled. He had tried so very hard to change the way her home was set up, and he had failed miserably. It almost made her sad to prevent all the changes he wanted, but sometimes you had to be mean. (Not like she didn't relent and let them through after a week or so of his sulking. Hae-min hated it when her brother was sad.) "How have you been?"

"I'm doing fine, my little sister is due to marry soon." He gave a half smile at this bit of news still a bit unsettled over it but happy for her just the same. His attention perked at Hae-min's mention of a younger brother. "Oh you're brother's staying with you? I hope things are going alright with him." He offered, "How old is he if'n I may ask?" He showed a genuine interest now leaning back in his chair with a casual air. He kept his gaze on the woman before him but couldn't help taking notice of the festivities at other tables. Again he return his gaze to the woman listening to her speak.

She straightened her skirt, then looked up at Xan again. "Please give her my congratulations," she said, a little slow as she worked out the grammar, but clearly happy for her friend and his sister. "Brother is fine. He just want to visit me... He is twenty-two." The two siblings were Irish twins, with their birthdays less than a year apart. With a little shrug, she related, "For ten day in April, we are same age," and then giggled.
