Reclining in his own section of the Club, the oldest Host fixed his silver half-mask for the ump-teenth time that hour. He had left his blue vest behind in favor of a charcol one, playing more to the black theme of the Club more than the crimson (red simply was not his color). His monochrome appearance was only broken by the off-blue of his eyes, which were dark enough if the dim lighting to look fitting to his attire. He was grateful for the calm and inviting atmosphere, feeling it would make the opening much more comfortable for all parties involved.
He glanced over to the other two Hosts - one a friend, one a stranger - and smiled to himself. He was looking forward to seeing them in action, almost as much as he was looking forward to having the 'Strays' participate in the events. To be quite plain, he'd been looking forward to this since he was hired, and was simply content to see the grand opening starting to unfold. The ebon-haired man was curious to see what customers would come on the first day, and which of the staff would be taking up the mantle of mingling as well. It promised to be interesting, to say the very least.

He couldn't claim that he was as appropriately dressed as the other Hosts and Staff, but he looked a lot more fine than he did on normal occassions. Sure, the mask didn't exactly suit the theme (but it was too cute for even Remiel to resist), and he was wearing the only pants available at the time for him (no - you don't want to ask what happened to the others; here's a hint: Food + Kitten). But, he really liked his shirt and his armbands, and he figured that it was good enough to make him look nice. If he had to go change, he gladly would, though he wasn't sure what he would be able to come up with. So far, though, he was getting away with his attire, and the ridiculously cute ghost mask.
The grand opening had him a little, well a /lot/, excited. Of course he wasn't a host, but he was going to be able to hang out with them all night. Of course, he also couldn't have any alcohol, which might take away from the fun... but he was fine with that, too. The blonde haired stray wandered through the Club, already having a destination in mind... he just really couldn't find it. He was considerably shorter than some of the people, and shorter than most of them. It was hard to see through the mass of bodies, and with a couple of well meant "excuse me's" he manuevered himself through them. Eventually he made it to where he wanted to be, and that was at Brad's side. Somehow, he expected that his mask would do nothing to hide his identity from someone who knew him as well as Brad, and so he smiled up at the other man. "Hey, is it all right if I stick with you?"

The fiery haired man ruffled his hair as he walked into the club. It was the opening event and he took this opportunity to visit the workplace of his dearest 'cousin' as well as to have a nice night. That and the club looked like it was going all out. He walked into the main room to see various people in masquerade inspired outfits. He glanced at the outfit he was wearing, it was formal enough, anyway he couldn't be bothered by that.
He had to squint a little as the club had dim and colorful lights, the atmosphere was very perfect for the theme but Rue really didn't care for the mood. For him it was simply dark and the place needed more lighting. After a while he got used to the lights and walked around the club, not really knowing where he was going. He was a bit annoyed at the sudden inflow of people just waiting to get in and have a drink or two. How was he going to find the man he was looking for in this mess? Finally he came upon a section of rooms and instinctively just chose one and peeked inside, his eyebrows knitting in more annoyance. There he saw a raven haired man and a golden haired teen, he inched closer with an unfaltering expression on his face. This was the more quiet and private place so far so he decided to stay here for a bit. He glanced at the two, they were both hosts, right? He did not speak at first as he observed them in silence.

Unfortunately for the Stray, Brad would recognize Remi even if he was wearing a trash bag. The older man was familiar with the younger's voice and innocent demeanor; he was, however, extremely pleased to see the blonde. Standing in a languid motion from his seated position, he smiled, twining an arm briefly around the other's shoulders. "You'd do my heart good to pay me a visit, Remiel," he replied. He was courteous, but he would not stop being friendly and familiar with the Stray just because he was working. That's what his job was, now - to train, and he didn't want Remi to change one bit.
It was about that time that he caught a dark form out of the corner of his eye. At least, a stationary form that was not part of the milling crowd. Turning, the dark haired Host smiled at the new-comer, giving a polite bow. "Welcome," he greeted the other, "I am Brad, one of the Hosts of the Club, and this charming young man is Remiel, a Host in training. We're pleased that you've joined us this evening." Even if Remi's job was to observe and assist, there was no way Brad would be rude enough to treat him like such a dog. Such was the perk and curse of friendship.

Stepping into the club, Haru sighed as the cool AC danced across his warm skin, glad to be in cooler temperatures. This was the grand opening of the club and Haru felt that eh should attend the occasion. However, he felt very silly wearing the mask, as masquerades were pointless to him. It wasn’t like he could very well see anyone anyways. Feeling the mask over his eyes fall askew, he fixed them with a slight frown on his face. He could feel Lee’s unease with the new surroundings and the bustling of people in what he assumed busy club. The chatter of voices rattled his ears, a slight stress to his shoulders. Unfamiliar places tended to rattle him the first few visits when he had no one to show him the layout. Lee he assumed was just worried about their navigation on where to go.
Sighing softly, he urged Lee a little, rubbing his ear gently with slender fingers. “Neh, lets find somewhere to sit Lee” he said softly, feeling the canine wag his tail gently.

His cheeks flushed with pleasure at being able to be a happy presence at Brad's side, and though his mask did well to conceal it, his smile was growing wider. Really, he didn't need to socialize with anyone else but Brad to be content, but he figured that he was supposed to learn from this, and so he should try his best not to become thoroughly engrossed in chatting with Brad. "I don't really know anyone else here all that well. It'd feel awkward shadowing them, 'cause I'd have to go through introductions, and I'm not very good at them. I like talking to people, I just never say the right stuff." He didn't mind that at times he was an awkward conversationalist - his cheery dispostion was more than enough to make up for it. He warmed up to all kinds of people easily, and though he may blunder a few times, he never really did give up.
He hadn't noticed Rue, not until Brad turned around and bowed. Remi looked adorably lost and confused at the sight of Brad bowing, and silently he panicked, wondering if he was supposed to bow as well. So, when he finally did bow, it was a few moments after Brad, as well as quick and sloppy, his mask sliding a little, hair getting into his face in a way that made it seem slightly comical. Right... he didn't want to try bowing ever again. As Brad introduced them, he took his measure of the other man, glad that his mask was in place to hide his embarrassed blush. Well, Rue certainly looked... oddly appealing, and these were weird thoughts to Remi that only made him blush more. "You can call me Remi, I like it better," he blinked, and then realized that Rue may not want to call him Remi, and after a long pause, he added, "...If you want to?" He felt so horribly embarrassed, and for some really weird reason, he wanted to impress the customer, he wanted Rue to like him, and these were all very strange and foreign things to Remi's mind. He had no idea what to do, or how to cope.

Crossing his arms, his light chestnut eyes swept over the two men, almost eying them suspiciously. Hm, now this was interesting, two hosts in one room. It was a miracle not many people were here yet but he was sure a lot of people would go here after a while-- and that was when he'd leave (he hated too many people being in one place). But at the moment he was content with the situation. His face relaxed a little more than before but there was still a hint of annoyance present on his face, the hosts before him did not have anything to do with that but he had to take it out on someone, anyone.
The dark-haired man was really formal as compared to the other guy who seemed to be nervous. Rue shrugged his shoulders slightly and spoke at last, his voice lazy but loud enough to hear over the sounds outside. "The name's Rue Hart." his eyes went back and forth from the two hosts who were both really fitting to the masquerade theme. Though... the blond's outfit looked a little odd to him. Maybe it was part of the get up or something. "Okay then, Remi and Brad. Cool." Rue looked away for a second, looking back at the sight outside of the room. "Hm. This place is packed, the staff must be really busy." he thought out loud.

Brad glanced sidelong at Remi, bemused. Was the blonde being shy? He'd have to be the good friend and tease him about it at a later point in time. Turning his attention back to the customer, the older man inclined his head, "A pleasure to meet you, Mr. Hart." The Host had his share of interesting people before the Club had even opened, but this was one of the first times he'd felt like some sort of item on display. The way Rue was looking between himself and Remi made him feel off for some reason.
His indigo eyes shifted over the room, keeping his distaste at so many people finely concealed beneath his pleasant expression...what was visible of it, anyway. "Indeed, they have several Hosts to move between and a multitude of visitors," he agreed with the other, quietly wondering if his favorite waiter was bustling and if Ferdinand was working. Brad spotted something strange and bright against the darkness of the area, eyes lingered for a moment before his mind registered what he was looking at. A dog?
He startled himself as he realized it was Lee. That meant Haru had come after all! Brad was grateful Rue didn't offer his hand, as it gave him a momentary out. "If you'd like a drink, I'll be happy to retrieve it for you. However, if you'll excuse me just a moment, there's another gentleman I'd like to introduce Remiel to." Glancing over to the blonde, he smiled, "Will you entertain Mr. Hart for a moment? I'll return shortly." Giving a polite nod to Rue, he melted into the throng of people, distinguishable only by his silver mask.
Moving near Haru, the man extended a hand to gently touch the other's elbow, lowering his free hand to Lee for the sake of familiarity. "I'm glad you could make it, Haru," he said warmly, "and Lee. It's great to see both of you."

Feeling a little lost in the throng of noise and bodies, he faintly found himself wanting to leave. But a part of him was determined to find brad to at least give him a fair hello. Haru hadn’t expected it to be this busy, but then again he wasn’t sure on what to expect in the first place. Sighing a little, he paused when he felt a familiar touch on his elbow.
“Brad! Ah just the man I was looking for” He beamed a little, a smile finally reaching his face. “I’m now glad I came too… though the love for masquerades eludes me greatly… can’t figure out the novelty” Haru joked with a grin, slender fingers tracing over the black simple mask he wore. It wasn’t anything special as he wasn’t so concerned with it since he found it silly.
Lee sniffed Brad’s hand then happily wagged his tail and licked said hand. The golden dog nuzzled the hosts hand in a great sign of fondness that was saved for those he trusted with his master.
“Sounds like this place is over run with people, customers keeping you on your toes I assume? Takes many kinds to make a crowd like this..”

"I'm happy to see you," he replied honestly, his smile a touch cynical for just a moment at the other's words. "You're telling me," he muttered, letting his Host persona slip just a little in front of the young man. Brad had never been a fan of crowds, and this was going to take some strict discipline on his part to keep a smile all evening. He joked lightly, "The mask thing is new to me, but I was never part of the upper crust willingly."
He kneeled for a moment to pat Lee on his head, scratching him fondly behind the ear. "Hey big man, take good care of your master for this, okay?" His jovial tone indicated he was quite fond of the dog as well, giving him another sweet pat before standing and better cupping Haru's elbow. "Here. If you come with me, I'll take you to my part of the Club...it's not so crowded there.
Besides, there's a young man I'd like you to meet. He's a Host in training, very sweet...I think he'll love Lee. I'll point you in the direction of the other Hosts too, if you're so inclined." Brad wouldn't pull the other without him taking the first step, not wanting to assume it was okay. Selfishly, moving out of the crowd also made sure Haru didn't get lost in the swell of Club goers, not trusting that someone wouldn't be as rude as the day he had first met the sightless young man.

Haru couldn’t help but smile brightly as the host interacted with Lee, his shoulders relaxing now that he was with someone familiar. It was quite stressful for himself and for Lee to be in such crowds like this, to many accidents could occur. “Ah, less crowded the better…” The youth said softly, taking a few small steps forward. It was easy to see that he was a little unsure of himself in this busy new setting.
“Ah? Sounds like a good plan to me” Haru smiled, sticking close to the other. He could tell that Brad wasn’t too much of a fan of crowds like this; with or without sight they were a bother. “I think I may take it slow with the exploration of this place… well until he crowd thins slightly..”

He smiled sweetly, though his mask did a good deal of concealing that as well. But, he would definitely give up the ability for people to see him smile in exchange for them not seeing him blush like a fool, because that was exactly what he was doing. "Yea, it's nice to meet you." He was really only mimicking Brad, because he doubted that he could think straight for himself at the time being. His thoughts were turning traitorous on him, and for some reason talking with Rue had unsettled his equilibrium. He wanted to make a good impression, but his mind was leaving him at a total disadvantage by remaining blank. But, as long as Brad was there Remi was sure he'd be fine. All he had to do was stand by and watch, and maybe say something here and there. But none of it would be as taxing as holding a coversation on all his own. "The staff are well trained, and there's lots of them. I'm sure they can handle it." As long as Brad stayed...
He wasn't staying.
Remi felt a momentary panic seize over him at the news, and helplessly he stared up at Brad, trying to silently pass on the message that he did not want Brad to go meandering off to find someone, even if it was to introduce this someone to Remi. He didn't want to be alone with Rue - it wasn't that he didn't like the other, because he did, a lot, but instead because he had no idea how to entertain someone. "U-uhhh... sure." No, no, no, he didn't want Brad going. He was helpless and defenseless and he was totally going to accidentally make Rue loathe him.
Silently his gaze moved over the throng of people, trying to find Brad so he could flag him down and keep him at his side. But, Brad was gone, and Remi was alone with Rue (well, as alone as they could be), and he had no idea what to do. So what did he do? He waved weakly, an embarrassed flush on his cheeks, and an uncertain smile on his face. "Uh... hi." He had already said that at some point, but in his nervousness he had forgotten. "Ummm... ummm... So where are you from? ...If you don't mind me asking, anyways."
Yes. He was completely helpless without Brad.

Very gently, the man kept his hand cupped around Haru's elbow, mostly leading Lee more than Haru. Brad was mindful to smile to those who looked his way, but otherwise kept his focus upon their destination. He didn't want to leave Remi alone too long, although he had faith the young man could keep anyone entertained with his unbeatable good nature.
"I'll be happy to give you a tour myself if the crowd thins," he agreed, pausing in step while someone walked in front of them before continuing. They were almost upon the two where he'd left them. "Can I get you something to drink, Haru? Perhaps a bowl for Lee?" Brad smiled at the young man at his side, knowing he couldn't be seen, but unable to help the warmth that the other brought out.

Haru was silently counting out how many steps he was from the door and which way he was going. “Oh, that would be very helpful… I’m a little helpless in new buildings… especially busy ones because it makes it hard to pinpoint things” He said softly. Normally he would associate things with sounds, steps and Lee’s help so he didn’t walk into things or people. However, he found it nearly impossible to be tense around Brad; his mere presence was enough to calm his anxiety.
“I’m fine for right now thanks, but Lee may need a little if it’s no trouble…. Poor thing needs a little break” Haru said softly, being able to hear the slight panting from his fuzzy companion.

"Hm. Yeah. Ditto." Rue replied, obviously distracted by something as he was peeking outside. His gaze danced amongst the crowds as he stood there, hearing only a fragment of what Brad had said. But then he finally shifted his attention when the blond spoke, interrupting his observational mood. "I see. Well I guess none of you have the time to rest tonight?" his words were more of a statement then a question when he said that, his face only partly serious.
He turned to the dark-haired man as the other excused himself from the room very politely. This made the young man raise his brow for a brief moment but nodded in confirmation. "Sure, go ahead. No drinks for me, thanks." it was better this way anyways, less people to have awkward silences with. The redhead watched as the host disappeared into the crowds apparently searching for that elusive person he wanted to introduce Remiel to. He gave a soft sigh, brushing the strands of his hair off his face, pushing them back. Looking at the blond boy who looked quite uneasy, Rue wondered if that was because of him. After all, he wasn't intimidating, right? He hadn't even said anything much yet.
A small grin appeared on his face as Remi spoke, and when Rue grins, it was not a good sign for the person involved. He felt ....amused all of a sudden when the other man had left. "That's a good question." he moved a little closer to the blond but he could still see the crowds from outside. "I'm from L.A.. But I never really stay in one place, I get bored easily." his eyes flashed towards the host, "You?" ..he would at least attempt some conversation since he was already here.
