I just started this, but I'll write some more later.

It was a foggy night when Samantha was walking home from a friend's house. She was a teenager with dark brown hair that came down to her mid-back. Her eyes were huge, as though she was a small child seeing the world for the first time. Except tonight. Her eyes were tired. It was nearing 3 in the morning as she walked along the sidewalk. She carried her backpack which was large and full of something heavy, making her hunch. "I need to go to sleep soon." She muttered to hjerself as she started to stumble. She came across a park to her right. "I don't feel like going home tonight." She thought to herself and made her way into the park.

She found a tree with a large trunk and as she sat down she swung her backpack to her side. Before she fell asleep she looked about her at the night, at the fog. "It looks so beautiful out." She said. She soon started to close her eyes and drifted off to sleep.

When she awoke she found herself in the same place, except it was now day. "I wonder what time it is." Samantha said as she stretched her stiff body out. As she looked around her with her huge eyes she noticed it was still very foggy. "I should probably go home and change." She stood up, grabbed her backpack and started to walk to the entrance of the park.

Something was strange. There were no other people out, not even any cars going by. "It must still be early." She thought to herself. Finally she reached her front door, which was wide open. "Why would dad leave the door like this?" She said as she walked in and shut the door. She walked over to a clock to check the time. "3:00?" The clock had stopped so she went to another room to check the next one. "3:00." She quickly ran up the stairs to her room and closed the door. Her clock too said that it was 3:00. "What the hell is up with this?"

After changing her clothes and washing up a little she started to call out for her father. "Dad?" No response. "Dad?" Nothing. "Dad!" Silence. She walked to his room and opened the door. He was laying on his bed, but Samantha noticed his chest wasn't moving. "Dad?" She said quietly as she approached. "Dad wake up!" She said as she shook him a little. She felt his hand which was still very warm. After shaking him some more, getting more and more violent with each attempt to wake him up she ran downstairs and dialed 911 on the phone. She heard ringing for a good while. No one ever answered on the other line. "What the ********?" She dialed a few other numbers, none of them answered and just continued to ring.

She decided after all of this to try and go back to her friend's house. She ran almost the whole way there, glancing at the park as she ran by. Most of what she saw was obscured by the fog. Finally, she reached her friend's house. Their door too was left wide open. "Laura?" She called as she walked in. She closed the door and quickly ran up to her friend's room. When she opened the door, it seemed that the same thing had occured with her friend that happened with her father. She shook her friend in an attempt to wake her, but she never responded. "Wake up!" Her eyes were huge now, not in curiosity, but in panic.
