Note: This is not meant to offend anyone. I'm truly sorry if it does. <3
I have known, both as friends and acquaintances, many bisexuals (primarily females) who seem perfectly content to have a boyfriend and girlfriend at the same time. I've rarely known anyone of other sexualities who is polyamorous like this.
Any thoughts on it? Bisexuals, I'd love to hear from you, too, poly or not. As I said, I'm sorry if this comes across as offensive.

That is correct, I have seen many polyamorous bisexuals, but in my opinion, anyone can be polyamorous. Not just bisexuals (i know that's what you're saying, you're saying that bisexuals are the more outstanding than anyone else). Who knows, perhaps it's just experimentation, or they really are comfortable with dating both sexes, but there are polyamorous lesbians, gays, as well as heterosexuals. Sometimes their polyamory is accepted (by their boyfriends and/or girlfriends) , other times it's not.
Some people have their own views on polyamory, though I believe that the vast majority think that it's wrong, and there are the very few who do accept it. I for one, do not, but that's just me.
I guess it goes along the lines of "whatever floats your boat." Everyone's different.

Yeah. More power to the people who can really and truly pull off being in relationships with two or more people at once without someone being hurt over it. It's nothing I could ever do... I get into serious relationships, and when I give someone my heart, I give them my whole heart.

*noddles and kisses* and I would never be into polygamy, or polyamory, whichever term you prefer. I am loyal to only one love. <333

Well, I think poly's are pretty well distributed over the different sexualities..
Technically, I'm a bi-sexual.. I find (most) women and (some) men attractive.. But recently I found out that: me + man = trouble... so I identify as a lesbian.. (if you think I'm a hypocrit, bite me razz )
But I think the reason why you've noticed this, is that there are so many bi-sexuals now.. to me, it almost seems like a trend, where people go "Oh, it's pretty cool to say I *insert bad word* boys AND girls.. so yeah, I'm bi-sexual." And it's spreading too. That's how I feel about it sometimes, not saying every bi-sexual thought this, and there surely are "genuine" (for lack of a better word, I guess) bi-sexuals. In other words, this isn't an attack.
I noticed this when I rolled into a new circle of friends at a new highschool.. I told one person I was bi-sexual (at the time I still called myself bi-sexual), and naturally it spread among the group.. now, it wasn't something I was shy about or anything, so I didn't mind that too much.. But the days afterwards, I noticed how they (most of them anyway) would say things like 'Hey, I would so want to date that girl/boy." (same-sex, that is.. we had a mixed group of boys and girls)...
So yeah, like I said, it seems to me that if one starts it, the others follow..
(Hope I made any sense with that)

(Hope I made any sense with that) Unfortunately for the real bisexuals out there, it seems like a good chunk of those claiming to be bisexual are doing it a.) To seem cool or sexy. (This seems to happen way more with females.) b.) They are transitioning toward coming out of the closet as gay/lesbian. (I even did it for a while.)
So that could be a lot of the reason that it seems like there are so many poly bisexuals... There are just plenty of "bisexuals" to begin with.

Well, I consider myself both bi and poly. And at least where I come from, is that, you are with one sex and you are neglecting apart of yourself.
Example. I have a bf, and the lesbian in me is being neglected and I could just as well pass as straight, but I know I'm not, so I need both sides to feel ... accepted, I guess.
Does that make sense?
What irks me is all the bi-curious people turning bisexuality into a fad, and all the commitment-phobes turning polyamory into some sort of safe alternative of peter-pan swinger-hood. Its not.
Polyamoury is love like any other, just like monogamy, it just happens more than once. We have mulitple loves. That's what polyamory means. People raise families ...poly families. Its not some huge big orgy fest of threesomes and all that.
Its about accepting all of who you are, and living with others who do the same.
Its not a fad. Its real. Its genuine and should be treated as such.

hate to say it, I sometimes have both a girlfriend and boyfriend at the same time or two girlfriends or two boyfriends(on one occasion) most people I date are okay with it.
