"Whelp, here it is." Mako said, tying a rope to the support of the well, then throwing it down the well with a sense of half-heartedness.

"It's a while down and I don't think that we can wall-walk it the whole way, if you're wondering. Now, I have to inform you of something. You might want to stick to the beaten path to either side of this. I'm telling you this because at first, it is normal drinking water. The farther down we go in the direction of the stream, however, it starts being a sewer. Now c'mon. We got to save a life." He tugged on the rope a couple of times to see if the boards would hold his weight, then climbed downwards, silently beckoning Yukie to come along.

"Let's." He rappelled down, and in a few minutes regretted it as soon as he saw his hands raw and bloody when he finally got down.

"Okay, next time, I shouldn't do that." He said, waving them in pain and soaking them down to get the bacteria off.

"Heh. That's something Fujin would do."

"Why's it important?" He tore off a piece of his shirt and wrapped it around his raw hands. He looked at the dark end of the pathway with disgust and sliced off a piece of rope with a kunai, then dropped it, and used his bo-staff to cause enough friction to make a flame appear on the sliced rope. He blew it to life, then proceeded onwards towards the darkness.

"He can't be far."

"... Sweet hell. Uh. Wow. He never mentioned a sister. Erm, uh, well, I think we used to be together on Sand Team 4. Someone tossed me off a cliff, and then I landed here with amnesia. Or that whole story could be a big case of Mitsude mind rape." He massaged his pulsing temples, and he seemed to have a twinge of sorrow about him.

"Look, you have a right to know. Fujin died in a battle and was brought back by a good medic that gave his life to helping him and I out. If this story is right, and via this point, I'm hoping it is, then I lost a good mentor and another's practically catatonic. Either way, I dun' see how it'd be beneficial to continue this." He exhaled a held breath and with a tad slower of a step, continued to walk the path.

Mako continued down the path, and apparently the stench, and soon he ran into a person skeleton white with a small blue glow about him, as if his spirit were dispatching from his body waving about in the tainted water.

"Holy crap!" He pulled the very ill person out of the stream, then proceeded to look at Yukie as if silently saying "What are you going to do?"

The dying man coughed up a silvery-blue liquid with the introduction to the serum, his skin returning to health but a glow still about him.

"Well, crap lady! I'm not a doctor! That's why- Wait..." He walked in by Yukie, looking at the man's condition. His pale skin, the silvery liquid that he coughed up. Out of surprise he stepped back a few steps.

"Holy crap... I haven't but the last time any of the medics seen anyone with these sort of symptoms it was with-" A crumbling of rocks went on below his feet, and before he had a chance to grab anything, he was hurled into a great maw of a hole.

Mako could only look in horror as the tentacle slipped from his wrist and he was sent careening down the hole. Luckily, the fall was low enough for him to stay conscious.

"Agh. Ow. Ooow. s**t- Go to the Chuunin Exams- I'll walk up there and get him to the hospital. I'll see you there." He yelled, looking towards a tunnel that vaguely looked like the aura about the dying man.

Right after I see what's going on there.
