It's a normal Monday in rural mid-eastern Pennsylvania. However, at 12:32 pm there will be a partial Solar Eclipse. Aside from this little tid-bit, life continues as usual for most of the 1300 students living on campus...save for a special, select ******** OFF-WHOA!"
As Jack rolled over from his position on the top bunk to hit the snooze button on his alarm clock, he felt his body plummet. With a rather ungraceful THUD, the Junior's face was introduced with the cold tiling of his and Alex's room. Luckily, his roommate had already left to fetch coffee from the cafeteria, one of his early-morning routines.
Jack stood, wiping his eyes. He put his hand to his nose, expecting blood, but there was none to be had. As he blinked in the early morning light, something else became apparent. He could see clearly. Instinctively, he reached for his temple, looking to adjust his spectacles, but they were absent, still resting on his desk.
"Huh..." Jack murmured, scratching his head. A month ago he started losing weight and gaining muscle like no tomorrow, and now his eyesight was starting to clear. "What's going on? I'll have to call Mom about this after classes, maybe she'll know what's up..."
Checking the time, he saw that he still had twenty minutes to spare before class. Grabbing his towel, he wrapped himself and headed for the shower.

Tad had been awake since five fourty-five AM, having woken up fifteen minutes before his alarm...A bad habit he's had for a while now. At the moment, Tad was sitting on his couch in his house and thinking about his day. 'Hmmm...OK...I got Comparative Anatomy and Bioinorganic Chem...' he thought as his gaze drifted to the New York bus terminal style clock near the back of the room.
"Damn...Twenty minutes?! I really need to keep better track of time in the mornings," he said alound, as he had the bad habit of talking to himself. Sighing, he stood and headed to the kitchen to grab a Pop Tart before throwing on his wind-breaker and grabbing his bookbag. "I hate chem..." he grumbled to himself as he left the house and got into his car to head to campus.

Her fingers slid down the fingerboard of her instrument carefully, the sound of the music soothing her, making her calm. The sound of a blaring alarm clock sent her into a frenzy of action. First, she placed her instrument down upon the floor on it's side and sighed loudly before standing up from her chair. "Damn alarm clocks, ruining everything." Stepping up to the clock, she turned it off with a forceful slap, and sighed. She had been awake since five o'clock, playing her sweet music without her amp. Ever since she had moved out of her home, she couldn't seem to sleep the entire night away like before.
Turning around, she took in the sight of her small apartment room. She had made sure the music was as low as possible, considering her neighbors liked to complain by banging on her walls. "Pretty soon, I'm moving out of here. Just one more gig, and I'll have enough cash for my own little house closer to campus." With a smile on her face, she headed for the shower.
It had been only a half an hour since she had left the house, and she was finally in her black lexus, eating a bagel that she had prepared sloppily. "I really don't want to leave today.. geez." Pressing her foot down upon the gas, she began driving away from her apartment building, heading in the direction of Juniata. "Too bad I have my classes, I really need to go to the store.."

Having been dressed and out the door by 7:30, Alex was already on his way to Baker -- the cafeteria on campus -- for his morning coffee and, maybe, breakfast, depending on whether there was any meat or not. So often had he gone there in the morning, and they had the shittiest food one could possibly expect from a cafeteria. The eggs were too runny, the fruit was half bruised and no good, and the bread was usually stale. He figured the staff didn't really care since maybe 50 students actually ate breakfast...at least, in Baker...
As he finished filling up the metal mug he purchased from the Sheetz gas station a few blocks down the road, he barely noticed a numb feeling in his free hand. Looking down at it, he noticed half his hand sinking into the dark counter top. "Gyah." he unenthusiastically blurted out, yanking his hand from the counter. A few students looked at him, perplexed as to what he was doing, but upon noticing, he ignored them. He walked out of the cafeteria, assuming it must have been his morning drowsiness, not having actually taken a sip of his coffee yet. "Yeah, you're just seeing s**t..." he told himself as he made his way to Quantitative Methods...

Tad was sitting in class, bored as normal as Baran talked at the front of the room, his thick Czech accent making him nearly impossible to understand at times. 'Bored...Bored...Boooooored...' he thought as he turned another page in his notebook.
"Ah! Dammit..." Tad hissed to himself as he got a paper cut; he always hated paper cuts... 'Annoying piece of s**t laceration...' he thought bitterly as he inspected the damage, 'Oh...A pretty deep one as far as paper cuts go...I'm actually bleeding.' Noticing the blood, he decided he might as well wash it out in the restroom...Gave him a reason to step out of class for a while.
As he got to the restroom, he washed the cut with his free hand, focusing on the cut. When the blood was cleared though, he noticed something odd...There was no cut. "OK...That's weird..." he said aloud as he was now alone and that bad habit was kicking in again. He had always been a fast healer, but having no cut roughly two minutes after the initial cut? No...Something was wrong here...
Pushing it to the back of his mind with a vigorous shake of his head, Tad dried his hands and went back to class.

A short ten minutes later found Jack washed and ready for the day. He quickly dressed, cargo-shorts, a brown t-shirt and white long-sleeved undershirt, and flip-flops. He grabbed his messenger bag and headed out the room, locking it behind him.
He walked at a comfortable pace most of the way. As he came to the Moore Street crossing, he didn't bother looking before stepping out onto the road. Most drivers knew to slow down during class changes. However, as he reached the half-way mark of the street, he suddenly became very aware that a car was rapidly approaching. He made a sort of clumsy dive-roll out of the way as a black Lexus sped past.
"Wait a sec..." Jack muttered, watching the car pull up to the curb by Swigart, the music building. "Sierra drives a Lexus..."
Jack playfully waved his fist in a menacing manner before picking himself up. Oddly enough, he didn't have a scratch on him. He didn't think twice. The little episode left him with only a few minutes to spare, so he bolted inside to his Public Speaking class. He would have to talk to her about what happened later, probably at lunch.

"Oh, s**t." Came her voice from inside the car as she stopped immediately in front of the music building, glancing backward to see Jack wave his fist. "Damn. I should probably get my license revoked for that one.." Pulling her keys from the ignition, she threw them in her bag before opening the door, heading for the backseat. Opening the door to the back, she carefully took her instrument out and couldn't help but yell and gasp when she dropped it slightly on it's front. "Making plenty of mistakes lately. Good job, dumbass." She spoke to herself before finally releasing the instrument and grabbing her backpack.
Using her straps, she secured her instrument upon her back before throwing her backpack over her shoulder sloppily. After locking her doors carefully, making sure no one could get in and steal her precious car, she headed off into the building for her class of Musical History and Practice, making sure she didn't strip on any stray rocks or anything else.
When she entered the building, she noticed that she had made it just in time. Placing her instrument down against a wall, she hurried into her classroom, and took a seat far from the teacher in case he noticed her trying not to fall asleep. Musical Theory really wasn't her favorite part of the class. But when they got to the practices and experiences, then she would wake up and be ready.

Quantitative Methods wasn't Alex's favorite class, and it didn't help that he had to get up at 7 in the morning for it, but what was he gonna do? Necessary electives were necessary. As he walked across the street, he passed Jack a little earlier than usual, "Guess he's not gonna be as late this time..." he joked to himself, continuing his pace towards the theater. He didn't know if Jessie had any work planned for the day, as he rarely checked his e-mails, but he figured he'd pop in and make sure they didn't need--
*Screeeeeech*
Alex snapped his head around when he heard the car slam on its breaks. Jack was on the ground in the middle of the street. Alex was about to rush over to him when he saw Jack's fist jokingly shaking in the air. "Stupid sonovabitch," he thought, shaking his head at the sight, "You're not as fat as you used to be, dumbass. Can't absorb all that damage..."
"You gonna live!?" he called out to Jack, making sure his roommate was gonna be alright before continuing his Monday morning routine.

"Whaoao!"
The fluctuating cry came from Colin's mouth has he slipped across the floor in his wet shower shoes. He had been in a hurry and had stepped out of the shower a bit too quickly and started to slide. He regained his balance without falling on his a**.
Colin walked back to his room, pulse slightly elevated, and got dressed quickly. It was still warm out this time of year and Colin was still in the habit of wearing cargo shorts, sandals, and t-shirts (the one today happened to be dark gray and read "You're not a complete idiot, you're missing some parts.")
He snatched up his bookbag and ran out of his door, his roommate still asleep he didn't bother to lock the thing on his way out. As the door closed he popped his earbuds in and reached into his pocket to turn on his iPod.
'Hey you, hey you, Devil's little sister Listening to your Twisted Transistor Hold it between your legs Turn it up, turn it up Low end is coming through Can't get.. enough...'
Colin's head bobbed slightly and his walk took on the swagger of a man listening to music, and enjoying it thoroughly. He stepped out of the dorm and began walking across campus towards Good Hall, where his Abnormal Psych Class would be in a few minutes.
It was early, but the day was clear and cool as Colin stepped into the early morning daylight. He walked down the sidewalk and noticed Alex coming back from the eastern side of campus, with his mug in his hand.
'Probably getting coffee at Baker.'
Colin also noticed Burk walking from his room out to the music building. There was also a black Lexus on the scene... and it seemed to be going pretty fast. Noticing that Burk didn't see the car and that the car wasn't slowing down, and that Burk was walking right into the street...
A lonely life, where no one understands you But don't give up, because the music do
A cold wind blew by out of nowhere as Colin watched. The Lexus slammed on it's breaks, Burk jumped out of the way just in time. Alex turned and yelled to his roommate, but Colin couldn't make out exactly what he was saying over the loudness of his music.
The wind had been strange, but Colin chalked it up to the first sign of the changing season. He walked off down the path again, hoping to be able to catch his two friends as they talked.
'Because the music do And then it's reaching Inside you forever ******** you too Your scream's a whisper Hang on you Twisted Transistor'

"You gonna live!?"
Jack gave a thumb's up before heading into Brumbaugh. He had lost time during that little episode, and he quickly hoofed it for Grace Fala's class on Public Speaking. Unlike many, Jack did not only enjoy speaking in front of large groups, he excelled at it, exuding a playful confidence with his audience that was rare in a speaker, especially one as young as Jack.
Today was no different. He was supposed to give a speech that was informative, and, running with this simple outline, Jack was going to give the unlucky members of his class a variable start-to-finish history of the Star Wars universe. All 40,000 years of it.
Making it to class on time, Jack sat down in his desk, twidling with his jump drive. When his name was called, he cleared his throat, and walked up to the front of the classroom. Ironically, the shirt he was wearing, now sporting a trendy brown dirt stain on the shoulder, bore a variant of the "Jolly Roger" icon. This shirt bore a Stormtrooper helmet instead of the Skull. A fitting touch.
"Show of hands," Jack started, inserting his drive and pulling up the powerpoint he had made the night before. "Who has seen at least 4 of the Star Wars movies?" He glanced up to pretend to count the hands, but the number wasn't important. Getting them to participate was. It was Jack's little trick. He never made his audience sit and wait for him to set up, instead jumping right in by asking them a question they could respond to.
"Ok," Jack said, starting his slide-show with the famous score to the movies. "Who recognizes these faces," he asked, as the slides scrolled featuring famous characters like Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and Darth Vader. He had an almost unanimous response in the positive.
"Ok...how about these guys?" Jack asked, showing slides of Exar Kun, Jacen Solo, and Canderous Ordo. Almost a unanimous negative response.
"Well," he went on, "Star Wars has what we call an Expanded Universe, that is that the world Geroge Lucas created 25 years ago is so vast, it is full of stories that can't only be told through the movies. The real history of Star Wars starts 40 thousand years in the past...of the Star Wars timeline, that is, when two Hyperspace explorers made a miscalculation and ended up in a region of space known as the Sith Empire......"
Twenty minutes and 39,000 years later, Jack had given a fairly comprehensive rundown on Star War's major events. Many in the room were awestruck, though some understandably bored out of their wits. Grace, however, was almost in tears at her student's audacity in making a speech like this for his graded assignment.
Elsewhere....
Professor Matter's classes were canceled for the day. Only a note on his door was the only notice given to his pupils. Beside the VL Science Center, Founder's Hall, recently undergoing renovation, was tented early that morning. Rumors were also flaring that all of the Science Center would be closed in a few days. Something about the foundation of Founders being weak and a potential collapse hazard for those in the adjacent building...
