So I actually personally know a couple people running at the trials!

One of the high jumper's, Jerome Miller graduated from my high school my freshman year. Very funny guy to be around. He helped me and inspired me a lot. I hope he has a great day jumping!

Monica Hargrove will be running in the 400m Finals in a couple days. She is an assistant coach at Georgetown. I've talked to her on multiple occasions, absolutely great person to be around.

Sarah Bowman, don't really know her per-say but she ran at a high school about 15 minutes from my house and I've watched her run multiple times. When she was a senior in HS I saw her run a 2:05 4x800 split, faster then the guys on her team. She's competing in the 1500m.

For those who havn't been keeping up with the trials, there have already been some crazy performances. Tyson Gay running a 9.68 in the 100m finals although it was wind aided with a 4.1. 3 People from Oregon on Olympic team for the 800, very exciting race to watch!

Two women from Virginia going to the Olympics in the 400m hurdles. Queen Harrison and Sheena Johnson Totsa.

Bernard Lagatt cruised to an easy victory in the 5k.

And if you've been watching you've probably heard of Kara Goucher. She finished 2nd in the 10k behind Flannigan. She came back like Flannigan did and won their respective heats for the semi's in the 5k. Kara is married to this guy Adam Goucher who ran in the 5k final yesterday but dropped out because he didn't have the A standard and they weren't on pace for it either. But he is also running in the 10k. The Goucher family for some reason has me very interested. Both Top quality athletes, married, train together, cheer for each other. I think as a runner that would be an ideal relationship.

Anywho thought it was interesting.

I look forward to seeing the rest of the Trials. Hopefully they will be just as awesome as it's been.

Got anything questions, comments about the Trials. biggrin
