Chili is really good for if you have a lot of bread lying around that's about to expire in about 3-4 days and you need the motivation to eat it. This is my favorite style of chili.
Ingredients
1 can kidney beans
1 can pinto beans
1 can diced tomatoes (or cut your own tomato)
1 can tomato paste
1 pound sirloin beef
1 pound ground beef
1/2 pound pork chop
1 red bell pepper
1 green bell pepper
2 jalapeno peppers
4 cloves of garlic
1 large white onion
14 ounces chicken broth
Spices I Used (Note that spices are totally up to you, increase and decrease due to your preference)
4 tbsp chili powder
2 tbsp cayenne pepper
2 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp oregano
1 tbsp cumin
1 tbsp coriander seed
1 tbsp cinnamon
Steps
1. Brown the ground beef and drain the fat. Set aside. Cut up the beef and pork into cubes.
2. Crush and finely chop garlic. Finely chop onions as well.
3. Cut the bell peppers and remove the seeds. Chop up finely.
4. Cut jalapeƱos into circles. Remove seeds if desired.
5. Take a stewing pot and heat up some oil over medium heat, and toss onion and garlic in. Stir for a minute.
6. Add the cubes of meat, ground beef, and peppers to the pot and mix it. Let it cook for a while.
7. Add broth (you may want to add more water or broth) and wait until the thing boils.
8. Once it's boiling, add in the beans, tomato, and tomato paste.
9. Add spices. Mix throughly.
10. Bring back to a boil, then let it simmer for one hour on low heat.
11. Server with whatever bread you got.
