Micah smiled softly as he watched Mikari and the cubs play from his vantage point at the top of a pile of fallen boulders. A gust of wind passed through the gorge, ruffling Micah's fur and making the cubs stumble because of how small they were. He chuckled at their protests to the passing wind, watching the three of them happily. They were the only family he had and he loved them with all of his heart. He saw the little scuffle between Tarik and Mikari and sighed, knowing that the cub would be a big problem when he grew up. He couldn't help the laughter though when he saw the three walking towards him, Raelyn lounging about on Mikari's back and Mikari holding an angry Tarik in her mouth, making him swing about in all his eagerness to be free of her hold. He looked away from the group and out towards the end of the gorge, not a hundred yards from where they played. They came here often enough, finding that the cubs really enjoyed playing in the dusty, windy place.

Mikari crouched down in front of Raelyn, waving her tail from side to side as the light colored cub copied her moves. Raelyn pounced at Mikari with a high-pitched cub growl and Mikari laughed as she tumbled backwards, careful to not hurt the cub. When she felt the wind gust through Mikari stood up straight, closing her eyes and letting the wind brush through her fur. She opened her eyes slightly and smiled, seeing the cubs tumble over each other in the wind. She crouched back down and grabbed Raelyn by the scruff of her neck, turning her head back to place the cub on her back where she spread out, laying comfortably on her carrier's back. Mikari giggled and bent down to grab Tarik, who came with more of a fight, scratching at Mikari as she tried to pick him up. His claws may have been little, but they were sharp enough to leave shallow cuts on Mikari's cheek. Mikari huffed as Tarik beamed triumphantly, picking him up swiftly and heading towards Micah.

Tarik watched the two females playing as thoughts raced through his little head. Jump now! he thought when he saw Mikari crouch down and wag her tail. He sighed though, knowing that he was no match for an adult Sibael at his size. He pranced over to the two as they rolled over, attempting to pounce on Raelyn just as the wind blew through. He squeaked loudly in surprise as the wind made him and Rae tumble over. He stood up indignantly, embarassed at having made such a sissy noise. When Mikari reached down for him after picking Rae up Tarik crouched down and hissed, baring his sharp little teeth at his caretaker. He shot out his paw at Mikari and when he felt his claws come into contact with flesh he couldn't help but grin at his success. He squeaked loudly again when Mikari managed to pick him up, but he still put up a fight, clawing and snarling at the larger Sibael as he saw Rae making faces at him from her back.

Raelyn laughed giddily and crouched down, trying to look like Mikari as she showed her how to move. She growled playfully and pounced at the older Sibael, kepping her claws retracted so she didn't hurt Mikari. As they rolled over Rae felt a little squished, but nothing worth complaining about because she didn't want to ruin their game. The gust of wind caught her by surprise as she was standing back up, making her fall back down as her claws extended and grabbed at the dusty earth. Once she had a hold she looked up at Mikari in awe, watching her dark fur ripple and shine, even through the dust swirling about in the wind. She was starting to space out when she felt Mikari pick her up gently by the scruff of her neck, making her squeak in surprise. When she landed on Mikari's back Rae stretched out, feeling almost too big for one of her favorite spots to rest. She giggled at Tarik when her carrier finally managed to pick him up and when he looked back at her Raelyn stuck her tongue out at him, a big grin on her face.

Pickles scrambled down the rough tree bark and sat on the ground, curiously watching the four Sibael. The two larger ones looked relaited and the cubs....well they didn't. She twitched an ear as she watched the display. The yellow and blue cub seemed to have too much energy, even for her. Pickles though was a little smaller than the cubs and would easily get away from them if they happened to think her a chew toy. She smiled slightly when she remembered Tristan as a cub. He always tried to chew on her. And now...now her little Tristan was all grown up. She sighed.

A quick movement of something dark down one of the gorge's scrubby trees caught Micah's attention and he turned his head slightly to watch it. It seemed to be doing the exact same thing, so he couldn't help but wonder at what it was. He stood up and padded forward a few steps to get a better look. He saw Raelyn dart off towards the thing and sighed, speeding up to stay close to her. Raelyn stopped a little ways away from the creature but Micah kept going, slowing his speed to a slow walk. He stopped a few feet away from the creature, panting slightly from the run. He eyed the creature curiously, not sure what to say to it, or even if it spoke.

Mikari saw her friend's expression change and he looked like a curious cub. She followed Micah's line of sight to a dark little animal sitting on the ground, watching them. She set Tarik down on the boulder and she felt Raelyn slide off of her back quickly, landing heavily in the dust and sending it flying. She laughed when she saw Rae take off towards the thing, looking more excited than Mikari had ever seen her. "Careful, Rae! You don't know if it wants to be messed with or not!" she shouted, laying down on the ground and tucking her paws underneath her. She sighed, seeing Micah speed up and begin loping towards the creature. "Though Micah seems to care about as much as she does." She sighed and reached a paw up towards the boulder, pulling Tarik down towards her. She closed her eyes and began to lick the cub's dirty and dusty fur, not paying attention to the bitter taste of the dirt filling her mouth.

Tarik let out an angry huff when Mikari set him down on the boulder and he sat up straight, wrapping his tail around his paws as he watched the two others run off. Whatever that thing is, I hope it attacks them... He chuckled to himself, imagining the scene in his corrupted little head. The thing was small, but Tarik knew not to judge based on looks. He wasn't paying any attention to his surroundings when Mikari reached out to pull him to her, so he squeaked loudly in surprise. He didn't struggle though, knowing that it was pointless, so he just settled in for a bath and a chance to watch the two idiots.

Rae saw the little creature just after his older caretaker and a grin spread across her face. She was anxious to get down, but she had to wait until Mikari stopped to slide off of her back and scramble towards the thing. She left a big cloud of dust as she darted away, laughing as she ran. She heard Micah's heavy footfalls and panting and knew that he was catching up with her, but she was still closer to the little animal. She skidded to a halt a few yards from it, panting heavily and completely exhausted. Micah reached her, but just slowed down instead of stopping. She stepped fowards, too, standing in her caretaker's shadow as they stepped towards the thing. Rae grinned broadly to the creature when Micah stopped, thinking that it was absolutely adorable. "Hello, little thing" she said quietly, taking a hesitant step towards it.

Pickles' eyes widened at the intrusion. What the heck? They had seen her? Wow. She blinked in confusion for it all happened so utterly fast. Next thing she knew there was a cub talking to her in a soothing voice as if she was a scared lost pet. She knew were Tristan was, and even then she wasn't his pet. No, no, no, her and Tristan were family. She rased him. She was older than this scruffy ball of fluff.

Pickles rose up on her hind feet and put her tiny paws on her hips. "Hello your self, little cub." Since when was she a thing? She puzzled that for a moment before scolding the overly curious cub. "You don't go running up to strange creatures like that. Whats the matter with you, hm? I coulda been some rabin animal and could have bitten you. Then what?"
