The household was vaguely aah... interesting, out of lack for a better word; he could now understand the Lady's insistence on Sewti being more feminine. It came, without a doubt from the fact she had to put up with not one, but four (he'd counted four, but maybe there were more that weren't home? He wasn't sure) older brothers, and then the Lady's husband himself. There were no other females aside the maids and the staff, and those hardly counted; the woman simply wanted someone onto which to project herself. The thought was horribly amusing to Nili and while he'd worked his way through the hallways, picturing this and that floral arrangement in place before moving forward, he'd had his fair share of time to put up with the woman's constant badgering.
Thankfully, he could be quite professional when it so suited him, and at the current moment in time, it did, in fact, suit him nicely to be so. He'd put up with the woman, offered her advice on keeping her plants and had even gone as far as describing in agonising details and with as many posh terms as he could, exactly what he planned on doing (in hopes of boring her away). The boy's mind was highly imaginative and he'd been able to pull off whatever expectations had been placed on him; at least, as far as he could tell, from the interaction he'd suffered during the day. As a guest, he'd been offered a place at the dinner table, and he'd had to put up with the flirting of a couple of the girl's brother's till they'd found out he was, in fact, male. He'd somehow managed to keep his mouth shut, the irritated swishing of his tail back and forth and the murder in his eyes the only thing that had betrayed his carefully crafted facade. Nili felt he deserved a medal.
After the day he'd retired to his given room, and had changed into further comfortable clothes; a long, light pink hued nightgown, in fact (not only was it comfortable, but HE felt it looked horribly good on him, thank you very much). He currently sat in the middle of the room, his legs spread in front of him, a piece of paper placed between them as he scribbled and doodled away, pausing only to bite at the pencil as he pondered. During the tour, he'd taken fast sketches of certain sections of the house and was currently working away at figuring out what flowers he could work where and how. He paused mid-scribble though, suddenly feeling the need to go back to the particular corner he'd doodled roughly; he was unsure if he'd drawn it right, and he wished to double check. Besides, he rather wanted a glass of water anyhow; the excursion could be used to fetch it on his way back.
This in mind, the boy raised himself to his feet, placed the pencil into his mouth and grabbed his block of notes before pushing his door open, stepping out into the silent, empty hallways. Nili hardly expected any servants to be up and awake; in fact, he was half sure he was probably the only one up and about. It WAS near 1am, and most people were asleep a that hour. Content with the notion, he padded barefoot and languidly across the hallways, his tail swishing mildly from under the nightgown. If he'd looked like a girl earlier, he was practically screaming it out loud now.

Assuming that he was the only one awake at this time of the night was where he was absolutely wrong. She wasn't exactly prone to staying up to all hours of the night, but Sewti certainly stayed up a bit later than most of the other members of her household. She attributed it to her affinity to sleep in, and thus, she grew tired later than everyone else. Along the same thoughts as the feminine boy (or partially at least) she had strayed from her room seeking a glass of water with which to quench her thirst. She was used to walking the halls alone, in the darkness of her house, and was quite surprised to come around the corner and be met with the sight of their house guest. More so, the outfit he was wearing brought a smirk upon her lips, which she carefully hid with a well-placed sip of water.
She had been spending a bit of time with the boy, in all honesty, at least when her mother wasn't around to badger him (unless she happened to catch the both of them together). She found him more interesting the more she hung around, and though she was often driven away by the woman coming to check up upon her 'investment', she felt that she was making some form of bond. It did please her mother, too, that she was taking such an interest in him, or rather, the flowers, and she had actually come to leave Sewti alone for the most part. The badgering was calming down, and that was always a plus for her in any situation. On top of that, seeing her brothers around him had been.. more than amusing. Dinner had involved her hiding smiles and snickers beneath well-placed hand gestures, though she was sure he had given her a death glare before the situation had been corrected. Of course, her brothers had given her a few of their own for not warning them before.
She paused to lean against the wall as she waited for him to come closer, standing in the light of one of the few lights still lit in the house. She was wearing a rather plain white night-gown, which was, surprisingly, probably one of the most girly things she wore simply because it was, well, a gown of sorts. Stopping just below the knee (for comfort, no doubt, though it probably horrified her mother to no end) and rolled up at the sleeves, it was likely the most revealing thing she owned. She took another calm sip of her water, staring at him over the rim of her glass, but could not hide the smile behind it any longer. "I love your gown," she said calmly, eyes dancing with that mischievous mirth that she was sure he was familiar with by now. Oh, she had no problem with teasing him about his femininity, probably because he was prone to teasing her about being masculine. Too alike to really care about insulting one another in that regard.

Concentrating on what he was doing, the boy kept a firm walk down the hallway till he reached the kitchen, his eyes trained on the papers he was holding; he'd made the journey to they kitchen from his room enough times that day that he was able to do so without looking. Imagine his surprise when the calm, amused words drifted over towards him; he'd honestly thought himself to be the only soud still awake within the household. Feeling his ears perk amongst the mass of purple hair, he turned his head to look up at her, and for a moment, the boy looked childishly innocent, surprised at her presence there. It seemed out of character, yet at the same time, the look was not faked, that much was clear. It must've slowly started to dawn on Sewti that Nili was more complex than people usually gave him credit for, and for all his barking, there were layers to his personality.
The pencil in his mouth did not allow him to talk, though he offered her a small smirk. Pause as a thought struck him, the boy went as far as making a double twirl before allowing himself fully into the kitchen, his eyes dancing with mirth as the gown lifted like a skirt when he moved. This done, he reached out to place the papers on the counter, finally extracting the pencil from his mouth, leaving it on top of the drawings and notes, "And who the hell wouldn't?" he drawled out as he fetched himself a glass, pouring water into it, "It looks bloody wonderful on me, if I do say so myself," leaning himself against a counter, he arched a brow, his eyes racking over her body in turn rather shamelessly, "I'm vaguely surprised to see you in that; what, no pajamas for you?" not that he was complaining or anything; that much was obvious. Despite her insistence of covering herself up with masculine outfits, he'd noticed she had a rather nice figure; it'd become apparent whenever her mother had shown up to fuss slightly on her.
Running his hand through his hair, Nili wrinkled his nose, "Mmmm... I take back my earlier statement; your mother IS a bit of a pain, and if she doesn't stop hovering and asking and interrupting, this is going to take twice as long," there was a distinct pout over his features as he spoke, his long tail swishing about, peeking from under the gown. Not that he had any real problem with the house, or staying there; after the incident with Sewti's siblings, everything had moved along rather smoothly, and it was very much worth it, if only because Nili felt that for the first time, he'd found someone to talk to that didn't mind him, the way he was. It was comfortable, and rather... nice, out of lack for better words. Bonding was nice; he'd just never... found someone to bound with, and the opportunity that had presented itself had been rather interesting at first.
Pausing to look at her though, he was feeling like he'd gotten more than he'd bargained for, "I'm a workaholic; what's your excuse?" he gestured over at her with a mild nod of his head pushing himself off the counter to join her side. He, no doubt, meant to ask what she was doing still up and about.

Her eyebrows lifted, disappearing beneath the pale bangs of her hair as she moved to lean her back against the counter behind her, watching him twirl. Immediately, that smirking smile widened, and the only thing she could think of was how very feminine that was, and how much it reminded her of a little girl who had just gotten a brand new dress. She supposed it really shouldn't have been such a surprise though. "Oh, perfectly bloody wonderful, you're very right," she agreed with a nod, faking a rather serious look that was obviously meant to be teasing when paired with the tone of her voice. She didn't flinch away from his eyes as they searched over her form, since, well, it really wasn't that much of a big deal. Men really didn't typically look at her that way, so she wasn't that concerned with it to be perfectly honest, especially when, well, it was more amusing from him than anything else. She did, however, reached down to pick at the fabric of her gown with a little shrug, "it's comfortable, what can I say? I like to sleep in the most comfortable thing possible." She shrugged a little as she sat her glass down on the counter beside her, really not thinking anything more of it.
"Are you complaining about having to spend more time with me?" she said with a little frown, faking a hurt look for a moment before she quirked a brow. Her fingers tapped on the counter beside her, making a soft drumming noise against the surface before she let out a soft laugh and allowed her mouth to curl back into that vibrant smile. "No, she truly is a bit of a bother when she wants to be. I tried to warn you, but I really don't think she's going to lay off any time soon, especially not when she thinks I'm so very interested in the flowers." She put the emphasis on the word not to demean the subject, but to make it obvious that she was in fact hanging around him because of something else entirely - a fact she was sure he hadn't missed. He was like her, in a way, even if they were on two opposite ends of the spectrum. It meant they were bonding quickly, something she was quite fond of, because it was a little harder than one would think for her to make friends. Males were usually either weirded out by her or too pig-headed to see past the fact that she was female and, well, most females just weren't interested in being her friends considering her affinity to be so masculine in everything. "I think my brothers like you almost as much as she does though," she said with a little smirk, a soft laugh on her lips, eyes dancing with mischief. Oh, but she really had thought it was a glorious moment.
"My excuse?" she asked softly, pushing herself up and away from the counter, the fluffy white tail peeking from beneath her robe swishing behind her as she shrugged. "I just don't wake up as early as everyone else, which means I go to sleep later. Bad sleeping habits, I suppose, but it's never been that much of a problem." She smirked, crossing her arms over her chest, "maybe now that you're up late at night, I have an even better reason for having such a wacky sleeping pattern?"

"I know; I'm always right, get used to it," oh, he'd noticed the sarcasm in her voice, the myrth in her eyes... her pose, and yet he felt compelled to banter back, tease her back, rather than get angry. It had to do with the fact he could poke as much fun on her as she did on him, he was sure of it; he had no other explanation as to why he was allowing her to do so, not why he didn't even seem to mind. A snort followed her words, his hands still gripping around the glass of water, bringing it to his lips slowly for a few sips now and then, "Might as well sleep naked then, if it's comfortable what you want," he shamelessly paused to consider the notion, his eyes seeking the ceiling, blinking once, twice, no doubt lost in thought before he snorted again, a small smirk playing about the corners of his lips.
He was, after all, still male, even despite the many oddities that seemed to tangle to make him up. The fact he was male was undeniable, for even though he acted differently, the nature and body would not really allow him to be anything else. It was no wonder his mind would wander. At the same time, it was strange, for he'd rarely felt the need to allow it to wander; he found most female uninteresting, for it was like looking himself in the mirror. Males were not even considered; it was likely that reason that had him hissing so horribly at being considered female. He was flirted with by males when he was, and he did not enjoy that type of attention.
A chuckle slipped past his lips at her words then, his eyes seeking the ceiling once more, "Oh, hardly," he offered her, reaching up to scratch behind an ear, the furry appendage twitching lightly within his hair before be let out a sigh. The laughter had been brief, melodic, and the first of the sound he'd uttered in her presence (or anyone's, for that matter), "You warned me, you just didn't tell me the woman was going to be at it 24/7; it's hard to get anything done when she's expecting me to explain every single detail of everything I've done," after a moment's pause, his hand lowered back to the glass of water, his eyes seeking hers in the partial darkness, "There are some advantages to it, granted," the implications behind his words must've not been missed, even as he shifted to lift himself off the floor, so that he could sit on the counter; it amusingly enough, finally brought them up to eye level, so that he didn't have to continue looking up at her. The mirth in his eyes shone at the notion, even if it instantly dimmed as he remembered the girl's brother, "Oh, bloody hell, you're a sadist, you know that? You bloody a*****e. You knew, and you kept laughing behind a hand instead of lending me a hand; you enjoyed that I bet, watching me want to shout my lungs out and being unable to," his ears folded back, but even not, it was clear it was mock hurt and anger.
She'd seen his real anger, and this didn't even come close to it, "Of course they like me; I'm an interesting fellow, and damned beautiful to boot," he knew he was beautiful, from the many compliments he'd gotten amongst other... things. Beautiful, however, was not a word most males would be flaunting to happily; it was almost ironic, "That's a horrible excuse, you lazy bum," his tail came to curl up on the counter as Nili turned his head, arching a brow at her later response, "Is that an invitation?" amused as he was, he couldn't help but tilt his head to one side, the gesture so childish it was comical, given the route the conversation was taking.

She had laughed at his outright explanation that he was always right, not bothered by the cockiness at all. It was part of his awkward charm, in a way, and it was as appealing to her as it was unappealing to other people, she was sure. Not everyone liked cockiness or a smart mouth. "Naked? I can see that getting a little chilly, and living in such a busy house, I'm not sure I'd particularly like it if someone barged in on me while I was lying in bed," she quirked a brow at him, eyes watching as he seemed to consider it, actually imagining and thinking over it as far as she could tell. "I really appreciate such a helpful suggestion, though," the smirk quirked her lips as she narrowed her eyes momentarily, though it was all in good humor, and his rather shameless nature didn't seem to phase her in the smallest manner.
It amused her, to be honest. She supposed he could act as feminine as he wanted to, be as strangely caught between the genders as he was, but when it came down to it, primarily, he was still male. All the men in the world could hit on him, call him a pretty lady, but it had only taken that one look for her to be entirely convinced that whatever was going on in his head, he was still quite a man. She supposed it was something to do with his physical form battling the mental one, but he seemed quite alright with it. Although, she did have to admit that being hit on (that was sort of what it was after all, even in joking) by a man in a frilly, violet gown was a bit strange. She simply shook her head though, letting the thoughts fly away.
"I didn't think I had to exaggerate, given how I had explained just how much of a pain she was to me," she laughed with a bit of a roll of her eyes, cross her arms over her chest and tapping the fingers of one hand against the upper arm of the other. "It's your fault for not understanding, don't blame me," she turned to pick up her glass from the counter, taking another sip, though she did cut her eyes at him over the top of the glass as she heard his words. Oh, the implications had not been missed, and although the cutting eyes were meant to be somewhat of a threatening glance, they were still filled with an amusement - though lacking the usual gleam of her smile as it was hidden behind the rim of the glass. She took a few steps until she could stop next to him, leaning her side on the counter and setting her glass down, in a way that made her actually have to look up at him for once now that he was sitting there.
"I'm no sadist, I just thought it was bloody amusing. It was just as much to torture them as it was you, otherwise I would have certainly stepped in to be your knight in shining armor," she laughed softly at the thought, wetting her lips lightly with her tongue as a shrug rolled her shoulders, "but I must admit the horror on their faces after they realized they'd been hitting on a boy was entirely worth it." She grinned, her tail snaking behind her in a manner that just reeked of mischief, in a gesture that was reminiscent of a snake, more or less. "They're always giving me a hard time and, well, I couldn't resist it, honestly. Although, I'll make it up to you later if you're feeling that upset about it." The grin on her maw faded into a smirk at her words, lacing her tone with just as much of an implication as he had been able to pull off, though her face looked nowhere as innocent as he had been.
"Oh, quite beautiful, I can't blame them at all for being so interested," she smiled, no smirk this time as she picked up her now empty glass and walked towards the sink, away from him, setting it in calmly. She seemed quite unsurprised by his choice of words, rather expecting him to describe himself that way to be perfectly honest. At his next choice of words, she glanced over her shoulder at him, brow quirked, before turning around to face him fully. "Ladies don't go about inviting men anywhere," she managed to keep a straight face as she said it, tilting her head at him, in the opposite direction he had.

"What, have you not heard of a lithe invention called 'locks', m'dear?" came the drawled reply, the sarcasm, even if it was light and merely aiming to tease, not sting, still present, "They work wonders, I'm telling you, those locks," running a hand through his hair, he placed the glass of water on the counter, his other hand coming to land on the hard surface so he might recline his weight back just a tad. His eyes, which had travelled to the ceiling as he talked, slid back down upon her as he smirked, "Well, it's your fault for planting the seed of the idea; I'm just reporting back the conclusions," then again, he never slept naked, for no other reason than the fact he rather liked his nightgowns, thank you very much. That, and he had an annoying tendency to get out of bed half asleep in the middle of the night, for water, or sleep-walking. Somehow, he figured that... sleep-walking while being naked, would not particularly be in his favour, what with the way he never closed his curtains back home; he liked the way the sun slipped inside the house, and in a way, the moonlight, for he found it highly romantic (he had absolutely no problem with admitting to such a thought either). Not to mention the fact the cold weather made him want to preserve any and all amount of energy he could within the house.
The curtains thus, were never closed, and well... walking around naked wouldn't have been well seen. Or it might've been, depending the person; honestly, he didn't want to know, or find out. Offering her an innocent smile, the boy moved his legs in an almost childish fashion, "And no problem, glad I could help," strange didn't even begin to describe it, but at the end of the day, it didn't truly matter. Nili had never had a problem with expressing his favour towards that what he liked, nor had he ever had a problem with instantly voicing his dislike of something else, of course. So thus, he so absolutely no wrong in showing the fact he'd come to the conclusion he liked her; she was interesting, amusing, and a puzzle to figure out, to boot. He liked that, and had no trouble showing it; besides, even after the small amount of time he'd spent with her, he'd noticed she was the type of girl that would instantly have bluntly told him if she'd been offended.
Seeing as how she'd yet to so much as open her mouth, Nili saw no wrong in continuing down the route he'd taken. If anything, she was spurring him on, for even the glance she'd sent him over the rim of her glass had been alluring, in some strange sort of way, "...Innocence," he drawled out with mirth, "You're doing it wrong," then again, something told him she wasn't particularly aiming for 'innocent'. Still, he felt the need to poke fun at it, "Hmmm... I'd say it's your fault for not managing to explain it better," it was easy banter, and he'd fallen into it so swiftly he kept answering her without even so much as noticing. Rolling his eyes to the ceiling, he pondered that, looking mildly confused; it was as if he'd gotten used to her... and if it were already familiar territory. This wouldn't have been such a shocker if she'd not been the very first person he'd felt himself growing (alarmingly, might he add) attached to, family aside of course. And ear swirled as she spoke again, his gaze falling down on her as she adjusted herself, coming closer to him.
He'd only been half listening to her, in all honesty, feeling his eyes trail down to her tail, watching it move as if it were a snake; it amused him, in all honesty, and he had to refrain from reaching out to grasp the moving appendage, as if to stop it's motion. It was only when he was sure he was going to give in that her words pierced his mind. For a moment he looked almost confused, as if not entirely sure he'd heard her right; then his gaze lifted to her eyes, a brow arched. Watching her walk away towards the sink, he placed both his hands on the counter, reclining himself now back against them, remaining silent till her last few words came. The smile he offered her then was real; it wasn't a smirk, not even a teasing one, and it was that which made him look even more doll like, more feminine, for there was no denying the fact it was almost sweet (if he could be described as such, anyhow), "Says the girl willing to make it up to me. I don't know; I can probably think of about ten ways you can make it up to me," a pause and then he nodded to himself, "Actually, yes, I have decided I'm THAT upset," two could play that game. He'd been on the receiving end of such flirting before, more than once, however, it was the first time he was actively responding right back, to the point he was being shameless about it.
Then again, he was amused and enjoying himself.

"Oh, I've heard of locks, but maids do have keys to locks and nothing stops them from busting into the room in the middle of the day when you're trying to sleep." She frowned at the thought of the maids that had pushed her out of her bed in order to make it, fussing about how she was sleeping the day away. "You'd be surprised over how pushy they can get when they want to make a bed and you're the only thing standing in the way of them and the very last one." She thought a lot of it also had to do with her mother telling them that she was being a lazy bum, because she was fairly certain that her brothers were allowed to sleep in however long they wanted to. Apparently lazing around in bed all day just wasn't very 'lady-like'. Although, his words did raise a brow, cause her to laugh softly. "How did I plant the idea? As far as I'm aware, I simply said I wanted to be comfortable. I think it was your twisted mind that connected comfort to being naked." She smirked and shook her head, letting the pale locks of her hair fall around her face.
At his mention of innocence, a slow smile spread across her lips, once that was dangerously more devilish than any of the others she had yet to show him. It was accompanied by a gleam in her eyes that obviously said her mind was working, buzzing over an idea. She was listening to him though, despite the fact that she was trying to decide something. "You're that upset, huh?" she said softly, bringing up a hand to examine it, her tail flickering behind her again in that snake-like manner. She began to walk back towards the counter he was sitting on, eyes watching him carefully, her face calm. As she neared him, she didn't stop, but instead reached out to brace her hands on the counter behind him, near his own, forcing him to either lean back or have her brush up against him. Her lips faded into a smirk and she leaned her face a little closer to his, searching his eyes. "I'd like to hear those sometime, because I'm sure I'll find the time to make it up to you," her words were little more than a whisper, eyes falling to his lips before flickering back towards his own.
Then, with a soft purrish laugh on her lips, she reached to grab the glass behind him and calmly pulled away to stalk across the kitchen and put it in the sink as well.

"I wouldn't know," came the response as he flicked his tail, still leaning back, "The joys of living alone," he'd never liked the idea of a maid for that particular reason, honestly; he enjoyed his privacy, and besides, there weren't that many house chores for him to do, taking into account he was neat, tidy and altogether clean. It was probably odd, in a way, for the boy to readily admit to doing all his chores; most bachelors he'd had the... privilege of meeting, did not enjoying cleaning or cooking nearly as much as Nili himself did, "You said you liked to sleep comfortably and well," his brow arched up at her, innocent, his tail still flicking about behind him, left and right, utterly betraying the look of sheer innocence on his features.
He was probably mid-thought, about to form some sort of snarky response when he noticed the movement of her tail, and the dangerous smile that was spreading swiftly across her lips. Even now, after so little time spent around her, he'd come to relate that particular tail movement to the premonition of an 'attack' (in a way it resembled the movement of a snake's body); needless to say, he was suddenly having quite a hard time tearing his eyes away from it. Kicking his mind out of second gear, the boy recovered rather swiftly, with the grace of an experienced dancer, a hand running through his hair again, a movement done to calm himself down (SHE didn't have to know THAT though), "Yes, I'm that upset," he stated calmly, his tail now mirroring hers in movement almost unconsciously. Of course, what he hadn't been expecting, was for her to cross the distance between them so swiftly.
Finding her body suddenly practically pressed up against his was not something he'd seen coming, needless to say; his sharp intake of breath a clear hint of the fact. The mischief was gone from his face, replaced by surprise, his child like features making him look horribly innocent in his shock, even if the thoughts running through his head were anything but. While Nili was doing a formidable job at staying stock still, the only movement offered the restless twitching of his tail, the moment her face was brought nearer to his, he found himself leaning away. The position he'd placed himself in, however, did not allow for a retreat, and his hand slipped under his weight as her words reached him. The situation must've been comical, for the boy fell back against the counter with a soft 'flop like sound, blinking up at her owlishly. His mouth opened, and then closed, only to open again and repeat the process; it seemed as if for once, he'd been shocked out of words, which was a rare occurrence indeed.
Watching her pull away, the boy remain laying on the counter. It was only when he felt he could draw in air at a normal pace once more, that he pulled himself up, and for a moment, he seemed to be debating on whether he should feel offended, angry, or horribly amused, if not thrilled. It seemed he soon enough settled on the later, if the utterly unmasked leer he sent her way any indication; the little minx! She'd done that on purpose! Deciding against using his voice (it'd have betrayed him, had he tried to grasp for it, he was sure of it), he settled for watching her silently, the ghost of a smirk haunting at his lips. Reaching out, he grabbed his notepad and pencil, settling it all on his lap; he might as well go get some work done; bloody hell, something told him he wasn't going to get any sleep tonight anyhow, what with the horrible, horrible... mental images she'd just forced into his mind.

As she reached the sink, she was careful to keep her eyes forward, dropping the glass into it carefully, setting it down along beside her own that she had previously deposited. If she looked back at him now to see, it would have ruined the entire effect she was going for. The look on his face had been more than enough sign that she had surprised him, and for the moment, that was enough satisfaction. That, combined with that sharp intake of breath, was enough to make her feel purely confident that she had done just what she had intended to do to him. He was full of a great deal of talk, flirting shamelessly and incessantly, though she had been sure that any sort of physical advance would still that devilish tongue of his. The fact that it had had brought her no small feeling of triumph, unsurprisingly. She was a proud thing, despite her oddities.
If she cared to be entirely honest about the situation, she had enjoyed the position immensely. As much as a female as he acted on occasion, so too did she act male, and with that came strange quirks. She was bolder than he would ever have been with such advances and in some strange way, it actually seemed as if the roles between them were quite reversed. It made her feel comfortable to know she could make him act like that, for most times in any sort of relationship she had ever attempted with a male, she had been forced into the role he had fallen to instead, and being the female just.. didn't suit her. She wanted the upper hand, the lead, and to see him fall into that easily made him even more appealing than he had originally been to her.
The silence that had fallen around them was something of a new experience, so used to his banter as she was by now. Giving him the time to sit back up and calm his breath, she didn't turn around until she heard the rustle of clothing and what sounded like his notepad, signaling that he had pulled himself up from that forced reclining position. She turned to face him once more, her features schooled to a calm innocence that seemed to hide every hint of what she had just done to him. Oh, every bit of it had been on purpose, but even if she had been failing at innocence earlier, she knew how to play a game with him if she wanted to. An amused smile was on her lips, but there was only that, and that was really not an uncommon expression from her regardless.
"Well, as entertaining as this conversation has been, I think it's time that I head back to my room and get some sleep," she said with a little smirk turning up the corner of her mouth, eyes gleaming in mirth as she pushed herself away from the kitchen counter. Falling into a calm pace, she walked past him, tail swishing calmly behind her (in no way similar to the fashion it swayed in before), batting at his legs as she did so and headed for the door. "I'll see you in the morning, good night," she murmured with a well-placed yawn, throwing a glance over her shoulder with pale eyes before disappearing around the corner of the doorway.

"Night," it was a single word, offered lightly as he lifted a hand, making a half wave gesture, though even that motion died when her tail brushed up against his leg. The hand which had been held up in in the air, shot down to his lap to grab the note pad from falling to the ground; he'd not expected the brush of her tail and it'd made him jerk almost enough to lose his balance. Regardless, he was able to catch the notepad before it fell off, jumping off the counter to land firmly on his feet in the process. He made no move to stop himself from watching her leave, his eyes firmly and shamelessly upon her till she disappeared around the corner.
Nili was sure that even in the dim light, his eyes were practically gleaming; not that he cared, for there was no one around to see him. He remain standing in the kitchen for a long while, his hands clutching the notepad firmly to his chest as he blinked, almost as if trying to figure out if what had happened had been real, or a day dream his overly active imagination had somehow brewed. Allowing his brows to furrow, his gaze fell on the sink; the two glasses they had used stared placidly back at him, forcing him to soften his features, his gaze lifted to the ceiling as he ran a hand through his hair. A sigh was released as his fingers combed through the purple strands, "Alas," the word was murmured before he put the pencil in his mouth and walked out of the room.
He honestly had no idea what to do now; anything but sleep, that was for sure, for he was entirely convinced he couldn't have shut his eyes even if he'd tried to. That in mind, the boy padded the hallway to his room, a hand reaching up to massage his temple; there was no point in trying to hide the fact he'd shamelessly enjoyed himself, and it had a lot to do with the fact she'd been so forward. That was one of the reason he didn't usually enjoy flirting with girls; they were usually so... naive and polite, always willing to let him do all the work, and as far as he was concerned, it was more thrilling when he didn't know what to expect. Perhaps it had a bit to do with his almost-girly attitude, or perhaps it was that he didn't quite enjoy having to be the one to tug things along all time; whatever the reason, the fact ... something had happened and that it'd somehow worked, had not escaped him.
Stepping into his room, he prepared to tire himself into sleep; perhaps if he worked himself to the death, he'd be able to burn out the images her words had burnt into his mind's eye. Doubtful, but he could still try, "Get some sleep, my a**," he murmured at a random flower that seemed to be watching from the safety of the window sill as he settled back down to work on the sketches scattered about the floor.
