A white, violet, and pink-colored body padded along the shores of the beach with closed eyes. Flaming paws that never extinguished were lapped up by the cool, clear water. Not minding the sharp tang of the sea spray, Aiden padded on, smiling even though no one could see. After the other night, rain pouring down, blood everywhere, this was nice. He felt clean, and he knew that Tulip loved him. Life was good.

The red and tan Ulaya stepped delicately onto the soft beach sand. After the past day's incident she felt more confident about their love. It was like the everlasting flames on Aiden's pelt. Their love was undeniable. Her soft scarlet eyes looked around for the familiar pelt. Her soul was restless for the warm fuzzy feeling she got when she was around Aiden. Her eyes glowed in an unbelievable when she looked him in the eyes. With him. Her void was filled.

Water washed over flaming paws, but all Aiden could think about was Tulip. The way she giggled, the faint wag of her tail as she padded along, her oh-so innocent personality... Oh, how he missed her! His heart ached, but at the same time burst with affection every single moment he thought of her, her smile, her eyes... He couldn't stand it! Being away from her was tearing his heart out, and he couldn't take it any more.

Tulip looked around in search of the flaming pelt. When nothing was in sight she decided to sing. That's what attracted him the first time. It might work now.
One... Two... Three...
Her song began soft and slow. Expressing her emotions. It got louder and cheerier as she thought more about Aiden in her mind. Nothing would separate them.

Swiveling his violet tipped ears, Aiden looked around. That song. That... that voice! He looked around wildly, spotting nothing. I could have sworn I'd heard Tulip... His thoughts wandered off just as his paws did, taking him in the clear direction of the beautiful song. He paws started off going slow, but as they realized where they were going, they sped up, going faster and faster. His paws wanted the same as his heart - to see Tulip again.

Tulip opened her eyes to see a shape running towards her. Focusing more she realized that the shape was Aiden. Her heart pounded and she rose and ran towards him. Her paws carried her like wind leaving behind a swirling wave of sand destroying the path she had taken, but that didn't matter. As long as she was with Aiden nothing mattered.
Thump thump... Thump thump... Thump thump...
Her heart pounded furiously against her chest and she faltered. This was way too much excitement for her heart. Slowly she dropped to the ground and gasped for breath.

"Tulip!" Aiden gasped as he watched Tulip tumble, and fall to the ground. She looked lifeless when he reached her, her chest rising and falling with faint movement, now. "Tulip," he nosed her fur, as if trying to awake her, but to no prevail. Nothing happened at all. He looked at her, and that was all he could do. No one in his family had ever had heart problems, or problems fainting, for that matter. Aiden had absolutely no idea what to do. He looked around for anybody, anybody at all, but saw nothing. Then... an idea popped into his head. Off Aiden ran, heading back toward the ocean, noting where she had collapsed.

Tulip heard a voice calling out to her, but she couldn't look up. Everything was all a blank and all she could sense was the calm ocean waves washing up against the shore. It's movement mezmorizing her to sleep.

Aiden skidded to a stop, splaying up sand, as he reached the water. He quickly stepped forward, into the water, and plunged his head in. He gulped up a whole mouthful of the nasty, salt-filled water, and picked his head up out of the water. He immediately went racing to where he'd left Tulip.

Tulip's eyes opened to a shape rushing to her from the ocean. She thought her eyes were playing tricks on her and blinked twice before realizing it was Aiden.

As Aiden reached Tulip he realized that she had already awaken. He spit out the water, splaying him and her alike with remnants of the salty liquid. He smiled at her, licking her nose. "Tulip!" His heart fluttered with happiness.

Tulip smiled as the salty spray hit her head. "It's ok, my family just has heart problems, that's all." She gave him a reassuring smile and sat up slowly shaking the water droplets off her fur. It was great to see him again. "I've missed you." She whispered smiling at him.

"Good because," he smiled back at her as he finished his sentence, "Because I was worried. I had no idea what to do!" It was true. The whole event had caught him off-guard, and he had no clue what to do in a situation such as that. "I missed you too." He smiled back at her, his heart fluttering with joy.

Tulip giggled. "You need to be prepared encase stuff happens." She said with a hint of something else in her eyes. There was something she was longing for to happen, but it probably never would. "What do you say to a stroll around the beach?" She asked thoughtfully.

Aiden smiled and nodded. "And next time I will." He saw longing in her eyes, and guessed that she really wanted to go on a walk on the shores of the beach. "That sounds perfect, Tulip."
