 After exiting the forest you find yourself in a strangely peaceful place, Nohara Field.
This field was once a green, flowering place covered in all forms of plant life as well as a few smaller animals strangely undisturbed by the forest's nocturnal predators. The life in this area was fed by a plethora of sparkling streams as well as a great river. Now, however, that river has dried up leaving the land parched and lifeless, weirdly warping the shape of the land from its usual flatness. However, there don't seem to be many demons prowling the land here. Perhaps this place is the closest thing this world has to 'safe'?

Looking around, Yukaria noted,"Whoa. If this place isn't desolate, I don't know what is." Turning back to the group, she asked,"Felix, you catch any sort of scent?" Stopping in her tracks, she waited for an answer.

Felix gave a faint nod, still looking ahead of him. "Like I said, there's human scent in this direction. I think there's a city farther up this way, but aside from that, nothing. And even what I can smell is very faint."
He squinted, but even his eyes couldn't see anything on the horizon except more craggy ground. Was there really a city out there? If so, shouldn't the scent be stronger? Or perhaps no one had been down this way in a long time. That was likely considering the destruction back before the forest. He looked back behind him, but the forest was out of sight as well. He sighed. At least there didn't seem to be any demons about.

"There ARE cities out here. I visited them when Hikaru was still in the alliance." Eyes opening wide, her head snapped in the direction of a large hill they were passing. Windy, who was to her right, did not notice the boulder headed straight twards her. "Crap....move!" Yukaria butted Windy out of the way with her shoulder and stopped the rock with her claws. "Um, I forgot to mention a small something.....did I ever tell you we're in ogre....country? Eheh.." She then used the oversized rock to sheild herself from any attacks that might be thrown on her.

Windy fell when Yukaria pushed her out of the way. She stared, amazed, as the girl stopped a boulder with her hands. Then she heard the girls announcement about boulder country. "What?" She drew her bow and got behind the boulder.
"How many are there?" She asked, as she grabbed her jar and took a sip, making Scoria appear.

Yukaria stared wide eyed at the arrow, sending a small "yeep!" of suprise. "Uhm, well......there's a calculated amount of...f(x=5x7)22+13_64(5)=..........well, there's about 10 of them. So, uhm.....if we each take on a few, it shouldn't be....a...problem?" One glance at Windy's expression told her she had nearly 5 minutes to run.

Yukaria still back up slowly, one foot at a time, trying to avoid any weapons, fists, or sythes, for that matter. "Um, big sis? Y-your not angry....are you?"

Felix turned upon hearing the scream. He looked around. Yukaria was holding up a boulder in front of herself, impressive considering her apparently frail body, but no other immediate threat.
Ogre country? Felix thought to himself, but I don't smell anything like that. I'm certain I'd be able to smell something that unclean for miles around
"You want me to slash through that boulder?" Felix shouted, walking back towards the group, "Or do you have it on your own? Also, I don't smell any-" But his comment was cut short by a heavy blow knocking him to the ground. What the hell?! was all he could manage in the way of thought. Shouldn't he have smelled or heard the thing? he was a freaking vampire afterall! But there was no time to worry about that. Whatever had hit him was coming towards him again, and fast. He rolled out of the way and shouted to the others: "We've got ogres!"

Yukaria's pupils dialated, and she flung the massive rock back up the hill and into an ogre's face. "Dammit all..." She had caught another in her talons and threw it to knock another boulder off course. "Felix, duck!" And with that she had kicked straight through one that almost ran him over again. Landing in a cat-like position, she tryed to catch her breath.

Felix nearly laughed, still lying on the ground. As Yukaria leapt over him, hitting the ogre that had been behind him, he jumped to his feet, muttering a muffled "Thanks," as he looked around for any more ogres that might be coming. "About ten of them," he repeated, and took another whack at the one Yukaria had just dispatched to be sure it wouldn't be getting back up.

Nex was about to join in the fray, but hesistated. He fashioned himself a nice pair of Soul Energy boots that went over his normal ones, and up his legs into his hips. They allowed him much greater speed than normal.
What's wrong, not going to assist your new friends? Why, that's awfully Noir-like of you.
For the record, never call me a fool again. Enemies of this world seem endless, so cutting down hordes of them would be pointless. If the lizard can regrow his tail, behead him.
Hah, not bad. Who said that?
I just made it up now, sounds good, right?
You're kidding...
All the while he was talking in his mind, he started to make his way around the big hill. Anything that was sent at him didn't seem at all a challenge to evade.

Yukaria grined at him. Even while she was battling two monsters three times her size, she managed a happy,"No problem!", and continued to fight. She of course knew she could'nt behead these giants as easily as she could the others. So, she decided to converse. "Hey, Felix? Do you really think I'm a concieted brat?"

Felix was a little disconcerted by the question and felt another blow to the head. He rolled with it this time, standing back up and making another slash as he did so.
"I'm not sure," he replied honestly, "I thought so at first, but I'm not so sure anymore. Does it really matter? I already apologized, so it's alright now isn't it? You're definitely interesting, though. You remind me a little of..." He had almost said Rosette, "A friend of mine."
