I want to just someone to make icons from this. Ianto with the gun"make my day" or when Jack puts Ianto's hand there, with a caption like, Jack Wins. or something.

There's so much to the scene when you really look at it. Like how nervous Ianto is when Jack complains about Rhys, and he makes his bucks comment. I think it kind of shows that he's a bit jealous that Jack and Rhys are butting heads over Gwen, so when Jack steps up to him, you can see it as reassurance. He stands right next to him, as if to say, "you're the only one I'm interested in" then puts Ianto's hand there, because Ianto not Gwen is the one who gets to touch him. There is no competition between him and Rhys for Gwen, because Jack really doesn't want her.

Its very telling. I wish they had left in it. Its hillarious for one thing, and a great Janto moment, because its crack fanfiction come to life. But, more than that, it shows their character. The way Ianto was pointing the gun at the beginning trying to be tough shows how green he really is when it comes to being 'action hero', because really "Meat" was the first ep you really see him kicking butt.

In "Country Side", his first real field mission he had a break down, and in "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" it was clear he wasn't quite comfortable in the role he has assumed, the way he hesitated to shoot the fish dude, he wasn't sure he could do it. Seeing him in this scene, being almost childish with the gun, it very endearing. It really makes seeing him be so bad @$$ later in the episode a real pay off.

Then Jack, this really shows what everyone loves about him. He's so bold and brazen, that he could walk right up to Ianto, have him grab him, and just look all smug and confident, its great.

And Ianto's nervousness throughout the scene is priceless. First when Jack catches him playing with the gun, the hasty change of subject, how nervous he is over Jack's apparent irritation with Rhys. Then the look on his face when Jack does that, and his very hasty turn away and act busy because he's clearly dying of embarrassment, its wonderful.

Damn, they should have left that scene in!

Love that "tape measure" line. Remember in Adam when Jack told Ianto that "tape measures never lie"?
So that's what he was talking about...

I just got that. Wow, yeah they otally cut out the st up to that joke. Honestly I love that about Torchwood, setting up a joke in one ep then finishing it in another. Like Ianto coming in with the hockey stick after Jack's comment in sleeper.

it's such a jac/ianto thing...why not keep it for the fangirls....and boys? !
