Hey guys, just wanted to let you know about a manga that I really enjoy. As the title implies, the name of the manga is fruits basket, and it is a best seller in America.
The series is set in the present, and for those who don't know, it is about a traditional Japanese family that has been cursed by the vengeful spirits of the Zodiac. This curse most commonly comes into effect when a person who is cursed (Commonly refered to as "Member of the Zodiac") hugs a member of the opposite gender, and they transform into their assigned animal. There are a few other ways, however, it is best left for the reader to find out.

It is a really enjoyable series, due to it's supurb main plot line, supported by various secondary plots that begin and end at different times in the series. The author, Natsuki Takaya, keeps her reader's on their toes with secrets and surprises that are well placed and only enhance the reader's experience.

The characters themsleves are well made, believable, and react well together. Each character feels as if they could actually step out of the page, and walk in this world. They are lively, very true to themselves, and add their own spice to the mix that makes up Fruits Basket.

In conclusion, this series is one of the best for all the reasons mentioned above, and more. So next time you are at the store, and you see a fruits basket, pick one up, and just look through it, and see the wonders awaiting your eager mind.
