++ Shi's Moonbit Inn ++
Upon entering you can see a large lobby, filled with comfy, matching furniture. The couches were of a plush black velvet, and the wood was stained grey. That tables matched the wood of the couches, as well as the upholstered chairs. Various books were scattered about on the tables, and filled the shelves against the walls. Some were in English, other in ancient languages long dead to most of society. The carpet was a deep blood red, and the wooden floors were stained grey, just as the furniture was. A fire blazed warmly in the large onyx fireplace in the middle of the room, guarding the inn from the outside chill.
On one side of the lobby, there was a counter, with a large book opened to a page about halfway through; the guest book. A small handwritten sign sat next to the book, which read, "20 vinn a week. Ring for assisstance." In dollars, 20 vinn came out to be about 40 bucks. The bell sat to the opposite side of the sign than the book, and was polished silver.
On the other side of the room was a restaurant. One of the two doors led to the kitchen, the other went behind the building into the alleyway. Several tables were scattered casually about, upon which sat menus, along with sugars for drinks and such.
In the lounge, there was a door, and an open stairway leading upstairs to the rooms. The door lead to Shi's room, which was, obviously, the largest room in the building. The uptairs rooms were just as homey as the lobby. Each room had two beds, each clad in furniture that matched that of the lobby and restaurant. The beds were dressed with maroon velvet, and the curtains were black. Each room also had it's own bathroom, complete with a large bath.
Behind the bar is a door that leads directly to the Bloodlust Underground Vampire Bar, where Shi works as well.

Shi sat on one of the cusiony couches, reasing a book titled "Elthrazar" and humming softly to herself, a song taught to her long ago by her paternal father. She turned the page as her wings fluttered boredly on her back. Shi sighed as she put the book down, removed her cloak, and threw it on a chair as she stood. She walked to the front door and out into the cold night.
She smiled as she could she her breath, relaxing in the moonlight, and gazing up at the stars. Even though she was dressed in merely a skirt and a thin shirt, she was comfortable in the chill.

Rien strode into the Inn, nodding slightly at Shi as she walked past the girl. She shivered slightly and kept her head down, wanting to be alone and think. She walked briskly to a comfy chair by the fireplace, to stop herself from shivering, and she lowered her hood on the cloak she wore.
"Damn cold weather," she scowled, looking in shock at the girl outside wearing half as much as she wore.

Shi walked into the lobby, trying to escape the sun. She nodded to the lady who had entered while she was out. "Evening, miss. Care for a bite to eat?"
She went into the kitchen behind the cafe, and threw on an apron. She reentered the cafe and looked expectantly to the woman. She picked up a menu and glanced about it, seeing if there was anything that sparked her fancy.

"Um..." she mumbled. She had just realised that she was in the same room as a vampire. Then she blushed, embarrassed at immediately being worried, and felt incredibly guilty. She was just nervous, as she'd never seen one before, least of all one with visible wings. "I er... may I have a coffee, please?" she said rather quietly.

Nolah checked herself in the mirror one last time and then shut off the bathroom lights. Grabbing her tattered bag she strode across her room and out the door, locking it behind her. As she passed through the lobby, and bade a quick greeting to Shi before ducking outside and flipping up the hood of her cape. She was going to tanks, hopefully the bartender had heard about some jobs in town where she could make some money. She'd paid for her room for two weeks in advance and was hoping to keep staying there until she found her own home.

She smiled to Nolah as she crossed the lobby. "Evening."
Shi then turned to the woman on the couch. "Coffee it is." She brewed up a quick pot of coffee, and poured some in two mugs. "D'you like sugar and milk in yours? or, anything else, really?"

Shi, having had her cup of coffee, disappeared into her room. She chaanged into something that suit her mood a bit better, and checked herself in the mirror, running a hand through her hair. She picked up her bag, slung it over her shoulder, and hurried out to the lobby, and out the front door into the frigid street.
She looked around, gazing up and down the lane, and decided she'd return to the Tavern.

Left alone for a while, Rien decided she'd have a quick look around and maybe even pop to the Tavern. She was alone, as usual, and was used to it, but sometimes wished she had more company.
She sighed and took a sip of her coffee, scalding her tongue and crying in dismay.
"Typical," she stated.

A man walked into the lobby of the hotel, paused, looking around to gauge his surroundings, then pulled his coat tighter and walked to the open book on the counter. He signed his name, and left enough money for a week next to his name. Then, he moved to the opposite side of the room as the singular guest, and sat down in the comfortable chair, digging into his bag. He pulled a bottle of wine and goblet from his bag and proceeded to drink it in a leisurly manner while waiting for the owner of the inn to show.

When Nolah entered the hotel lobby she was surprised to find it occupied. A beautiful young man in a long trench coat sat comfortably in one of the chairs at the end of the room opposite the counter. For a moment she studied his pale hair and golden eyes, a few shades lighter than her own. Instinctively she stood in her place for another moment just studying him before making up her mind. She strode across the distance separating them and came to a stop beside him.
"You must be new to town." She said, extending a slender hand. "I'm Nolah, just got here a few days ago myself." She thought self-conciously of her ears, apart of her that had won her many jobs in other places and many favors bestowed upon her while in others they had been the cause of fear and prejudice, often leading to cold nights without shelter. Here they didn't seem to matter and she tried to re-assure herself as she greeted the stranger. "If you don't mind, I'd really appreciate a drink. The weather is brutal outside."

Shi walked in behind Nolah, and tossed her cloak onto the chair behind the counter as she collected the money next to the sign. "You should have told me you were leaving, I'd have gone with you." She put the money into the register, and grabbed a key from on of the hooks under the counter.
She strode over to where the two were, and noted his features, but subtley enough to make it look as if she weren't staring. "You're the one who just paid earlier, yes?" She held out a key to his room. "Number 8, up the stars and to the right."
She sat down, and stood almost immediately. "Would you guys like something to eat? Or a drink, if nothing else?"

"A drink would be splendid." Nolah said quickly and then smiled at the young man. "Room eight? You're beside me." She fiddled with her sweater nervously. She usually didn't approach people but she'd decided upon arriving in Dark Haven to make an effort.

He stared at the two for a minute, then stood up and slowly took the outstreched key. "Thank you," he stammered. Then he looked at the ground, then looked back up, seeming to have made a decision. "Um, I have some wine if you both would want it..." he ventured.

Rien sat still, obviously unnoticed in the corner, but she sat up straighter at the sound of wine. That was certainly to her taste, especially if the handsome young man was supplying it. She blushed slightly, scolding her thoughts, but she stood anyway for the want of company at last.
'Shi, Nolah,' she stated, and nodded at the two females. She then turned to the gentleman, and with a huge effort of boldness on her account, spoke to him without blushing. 'I'm Rien, you didn't seem to notice me. I just thought I'd introduce myself.'
She turned back to Shi, as though she wasn't bothered by the stranger's company, though she certainly was. She had decided to get over her fear of new people, and start being bold. 'Shi, I don't have a room yet. Is number 13 free, please?' She put some money forward. 'And another coffee, maybe?'
