He'd stopped at a little cafe on his way into work, chatting with the person behind the counter for a bit as she fixed his coffee and handed it over along with a box of donuts that he carried with him down the street. He figured it couldn't hurt all that much to be the bearer of breakfast treats.
There had been a bit of a rucus at the office when he'd shown back up again but it had settled down pretty fast. He had his nice cushy desk chair to lounge in for the moment.
He dropped the donuts off in the lounge, grabbing one with white icing and sprinkles before making his way down the hall, tail flickering back and forth behind him. He had his deck of cards tucked into his pocket this time and he'd come prepared for a day of nothing.
He shifted in his chair when he smelled something nice. His desk was close enough to the lounge's door that he could tell someone had brought doughnuts. Getting up, tail wagging slightly, he headed toward the smell.
He'd paused in the hallway long enough to lick a bit of frosting off of his fingers, a bit flustered by how easily the stuff seemed to get everythere. Once it was off of his fingers he stuck his tongue out to lick at his lips before bringing his coffee up.
He pushed the door to the lounge open and grinned when he saw the box. "Score..."
"Mm..." He grinned at the taste of the coffee mingling with the lingering taste of the frosting, quite content as he continued on down the hall.
He wasn't really paying attention to where he was going as he headed for the box but managed to somehow half dodge running right into Garin. "..ack.."
"Woah!" He jumped back, holding his coffee out to keep it from spilling down the front of his white shirt. Luckily he'd managed to drink enough that it only splashed onto his hand... And it wasn't too hot either, so all he had to do was switch hands, holding the cup in the opposite one while he brought his hand up to his mouth to lick the coffee off slowly.
"s**t ... sorry.. Oh, hey." He grinned slightly as he realized that he'd almost barrled into Garin.
He gave his hand another lick for good measure, smoothing the fur down before glancing up at the other man, smirking. "Think y'might need t'get your eyes checked, Riley."
"Was sorta only thinking about those.." He pointed at the box on the table.
"Mm... Already had one. I think I managed to get most of the frosting off of my muzzle. Couldn't resist bringing some in to share."
He looked at the other man and grinned. "Ya thought wrong." Leaning over and licked some frosting off Garin's muzzle before turning to go get one for himself.

His nose twitched as the fur on his face ruffled, hand quickly coming up to smooth it while the other male had his back to him. He coughed, clearing his throat to set himself right again before taking a sip of his coffee. "So's anyone else around... Or is it just you and me again."
"Some of the others are. Rude n'Reno are off doin somethin for the boss. Tseng said someone shoudl drag ya to the training rooms for a bit today"
"Since you're the only one about does that mean you're volunteering?" He smirked, taking another sip of his coffee as he glanced at the other male over his glasses.
"If ya want to?" He grinned. "I Haven't had a good workout for a while"
"Going to need one... Eating that doughnut and all. That s**t goes right to your a**." His smirk broadened, eyes gleaming behind his shades. "Been a while since I've had a good run-around myself. I'm sure I could use one or two."
"If only i had that problem." He grinned as he bit into a chocolate one.
"What problem? Doughnuts going to your a**?" He snorted. "-Everyone- has that problem. Can't be denied. Curse of the doughnuts. Why do you think cops like 'em so much? Gives 'em padding for when they're sitting around in their squad cars doing jack."
"Not normal remember." He grinned around the doughnut. "Have to eat a lot of'em for them to got o my a**"
"There's still a box left... Never know what might happen if I just leave you here with them."
"I'd probably eat'em all." He grinned as he licked his fingers clean.
"Well, would you rather I leave you with the doughnuts for a bit and come back once they're gone so you'll feel more up to a run-around?" He smirked.
"I'm up for a run around now." He dusted his hands off and smirked. "Think i'll be nice and leave my gloves in my desk this time though"
"Somethin' special about your gloves that you're doing me a favor by leaving them where they are?"
"They're my usual weapon. Pads in the palms are set for a pretty nasty electrical shock when i need it.
"Mm... So you're a hand-to-hand sort of person?" He finished off his coffee, tossing the cup into the trash before reaching for another doughnut, breaking a piece off of it to pop into his mouth.
"mmhm. Kinda bad with everything else. Cept maybe a sniper riffle. I'm sorta good with those." He nodded a bit.
"Then what would you suggest we do?" His brow lofted, tongue flicking out to grab a bit of icing that had lingered on his lips before he took another taste of his doughnut.
"Depends. You got something against being tossed around the training room? Or would you rather go for target practice?"
"Think you could toss me around?" He laughed. "Target practice is a bit more up my alley... But there's a lot more to being able to shoot than just shooting. Physical stuff is also a bonus."

"Maybe a bit." He grinned. "Speciality after all."
"Well, I'll let you pick this round." He smirked, polishing off the rest of his treat before licking his fingers clean, glancing up to the other male while he did so.
"Come on then." He nodded toward the door so they could head to the training room.
"Lead the way." He laughed, following after the other male. It really wasn't like he had anything to lose... Beyond, possibly, his pride.
He headed out into the main hall and down to the training room. Thankfully it was cleaned out so they wouldn't have to move anything around.
"You come down here often?" His brow lofted as he reached up to loosen his tie, pondering taking his jacket off to set it aside as well.
"Yea. Good way to relieve stress." He shrugged his jacket off and hung it over a chair.
He slid out of his own jacket, hanging it carefully on the back of the chair. "So... How do you want to start this?"
"Could start the traditional way, or one of us could just lunge at the other." He grinned as he ran a hand though his hair.
"Rock, paper, scissors?" He smirked, pulling his sunglasses off so that he could set them down on the chair, watching the other man.
"I've always been bad at that." He grinned and after a moment ducked down and lunged at Garin's legs.
"... s**t." He just barely managed to leap up as the other went for his legs, using his tail for balance as he landed, glancing over his shoulder. "Quick little thing, aren't you."
He pivited around on his feet and went after the other man again with a Grin. "Told ya ..."
"I'd've shot you by now." He smirked, this time ducking down to catch the other male head on.

"If we were playin with guns, probably." He ducked his head under Garin's so he could grab him around the waist.
"No doubt about it. I shoot s**t that scurries around on the floor." He swished his tail up, dusting the tip of it against Riley's nose as he grabbed the other male's belt, locking his hold on him.
"Long as it doesn't get out of the way fast enough." He grinned as he twisted. Genereally he'd have bitten one of Garin's arms to make him let go but he wasn't trying to draw blood.
"Somehow I've got a feeling this is going to wind up as a stale mate." He smirked, shuffling one of his feet in an attempt to kick one of Riley's out from beneath him.
"Could." He grunted and stuck his nose in the joint of the other man's shoulder.
He just barely managed to hold back a growl at that, attempting to pick the other male up from the hold he had on his belt.
The slight lift to his body only pressed his nose further against Garin's shoulder. He grinned as he tried to keep his feet on the ground.
He turned his head, nipping lightly at Riley's side as he set him back down, thumping him in the head with his tail again. "Should've shot you..." He smirked, releasing his hold on him.
He grinned as he looked up. "Would'a been easier."
"Would've been." He shook his head. "I"m no good at this brute force s**t unless I really don't like the guy I'm going up against... Probably a flaw on my part."
"Never been good at shooting people. Never feels right." He grinned as he let the other man go.
"So instead you go for pressure points or shock the shot out of them?" He smirked, shifting quickly in an attempt to take Riley down once more. It might work... If he could catch the other male offguard.
"Generally...." He twisted, grabbing Garin's arm, and used their momentum to take the other man to the floor. He ended up half sitting on him. "Works pretty well."
"Cheap shot." He shifted slightly beneath the other male, tail swishing back and forth against the floor as he watched him, contemplating his next move.
"you're the one who took the cheap shot." He smirked.
"You're the one sitting on me... Who also had the advantage to begin with because you're better at hand-to-hand than I am... Now. Give me a paintball gun and you've got yourself a challenge." He shifted once more, attempting to toss Riley off of him.
He just shifted with Garin to try to stay on top of him. "Never played paintball before ... looks like fun though"
He took advantage of Riley shifting with him, rolling until he could pin the other male to the floor, grinning down at him. "After lunch. You. Me. Paintball."
"Think i can agree ta that." He grinned up at the other.
"Good." He smirked as he got up, holding his hand out to the other male so that he could help him to his feet should he chose to accept his hand.
He too Garin's hand and pulled himself to his feet. "Not gonna get too mad if ya get paint all over that pretty tail are ya?"
"You'd have to hit me for that to happen." He nodded once, going to gather his jacket and his shades. "There's a park across town. Meet you there at two. Loser buys dinner."
"I'm not a completely bad shot." He grinned as he stretched. "sounds fair though"
"See y'then." He smirked, saluting the other male before slipping out of the training room. He was definitely going to have to work on his game for next time...
