Welcome to Gaia! ::

This is the largest city on the face of the planet, and it still is... In a manner of speaking. All the buildings remain, if in increasing amounts of disrepair, but there are no people here. The streets are empty, the once-bustling markets desolate and falling apart. But the city is not dead. Many of the buildings were automated before the people disappeared, and those machines are somehow still functioning, carrying out their duties even as the days drag on. At least there's some solace in knowing that you can still get a drink at the local bar, that is if you can stomach the damaged buildings.

Felix hung back from the large of the group, his eyes glowing red, and his conscience weighing heavily on his shoulders. Now that the blood was gone and his head was clear, it was easy to regret what he had done. His thoughts were on Rosette. How could he have taken someone else's blood? Would she be angry about it? How could he have been so weak?! He cursed himself, sighing and finally taking note of the buildings around him. They were still standing, better than the debris of the village earlier, even if this place was starting to fall into disrepair.

"I suppose this means no survivors," he mused, "Wonderful. Another place with no leads. This journey is going to be much longer than I had hoped."

"Oh-!" His voice echoed throughout the streets and alleys, echoing the silence and emptiness. Whatever reflux cry of pain he was going to yell was cut short by the debris and decay on the ground. He lay still, almost afraid to move and look up. The smell was musky, that of a lifeless and dead area. He could also smell faint hints of death. Something happened here, he was here, best to start finding his way out.

Slowly he places his palms on the ground, trying to find a firm and relatively painless place to push up. He groaned inwardly, he had taken quite a dive it seemed. He propped himself up onto his knees and took note of the damage. "A little dirty..." He mumbled, attempting to brush the dirt that had gathered on his clothing. He held out his arms, noting the few cuts and scratches. "A little clumsy but..." With a grunt and a swift motion he was up on his feet again. And for the first time he saw where that rift had taken him. Definately not the same planet anymore. He blinked and looked down the street infront, looked behind him for signs of a way back. Nothing. "What in the name of- Hm?"

He saw his swords laying on the ground near where he had landed. He heard something. Or did he? He was already paranoid of his surroundings. This was a new world, and the destruction around him, and his instincts were screaming at him that he was not safe. Quickly snatching up both blades, sheathing one at his side and holding the other firmly in his left hand he began to move at a brisk walk down the streets. His journey through the city was silent, well as silent as it could be. He heard noises from inside the buildings yet thought it best to stay out.

A figure... He had smelled and heard them long before he saw them. "One... no... a couple... violent?" He muttered to himself, trying to take stalk of the new people. One stayed in the rear. "Let's find out..." he said with a dangerous grin and from a safe distance he stepped out from the shadows behind them. "Ahoy!" He called out, still holding his sword firmly. He looked again at the ruins and the buildings, "perhaps you can tell me where I am?"

When their group had even gotten close to the city, Nex took off.
"Wonderful!" He exclaimed quite gleefully. It seemed he was so happy his walk was almost a skip. After a moment he cought himself, realizing he was showing some sort of happiness for the first time in a while and immediately stopped. The long walk here had restored a good amount of his energy, enough for him to climb up a building to it's roof. After finding the source of the building's electricity, a thick wire, Nex extended his fangs and bit down on it.
"Mmm..." Was all he could say after he was done. It was then he heard the foreign voice, and immediately got to the edge of the roof. He peaked over the side with a hand ready to hurl a dagger, but the man seemed friendly enough, so Nex relaxed and jumped off onto the ground nearly halfway between Windy and the new person. It was quite easy to tell from Nex's body language that he was very passive.

Nex gave a slight bow.
"Hello. I am Nex. Unfortunately I can't answer the other question, as I really have no idea. The rest of the group probably does. You can relax, you know... I'm pretty sure we aren't going to attack you."

"Oh, yeah," Dantes grip on the sword loosened, yet he remained prepared. They aren't going to fight, that's a good sign. But war? I don't think so. He shook his head, grinning and trying to suppress a laugh. In a sense he succeeded and in a sense he failed for the remnants of a low chuckle escaped. He continued, wary of the situation. "You tell me to relax," he then pointed at Windy. "And then she tells me I've gone and done what? Stumbled into some kind of ungodly war? I'm sorry, but I just came from a rather close call with death, I'd rather not repeat it!" He looked around the city. Completely foreign. He sheathed his blade and placed his hands on his hips, "now, just point me in the right direction to get home. A doomed planet doesn't sound like the smartest place to be..."

Nex laughed lightly.
"I said relax because it's only war. Then again, if you just came from elsewhere I doubt war is a small matter for you."
He then shook his head.
"The second I find out I'll let you know... How did you get here? Sounds quite interesting."

"How did I...?" He shrugged, finally deciding it was safe to close the gap and take stock of the group up close. It looked like he was staying with them. He planned only that he'd be in their company until the next village or his earliest opportunity to flee from this planet. He wasn't getting payed, why should he stay? But alas it didn't look like he had a choice. "I got here through a portal that was there when a minute before it wasn't, like she said," he said pointing at Windy. He took an inward sigh and looked up at the skies. He had never held faith in the supposed gods of his world unless in extreme situations. Maybe now he'd start firmly believing in them. He held out his hand to Nex. The closest. "I didn't properly introduce myself. Dante Anu'Renth, blade for hire," he grinned showing teeth slightly sharper than normal, his eyes glinting for a brief few seconds appearing exactly as a wild wolf, "in my world my kind has been hunted near extinction, I don't intend to die anytime soon."
