I'm taking Theater class this semester as an extra-curricular activity. It has driven me to go to the theater in at least three times.
It has never been of my use to go to the theater, but thanks to this class, now it has become an activity that I enjoy a lot. A lot more than just going to see a movie at the cinema.
Do you ever go to the theater?

I used to take acting classes, and had some minor (non-speaking) roles. I enjoyed it, but I learned a few things:
1. I don't like musicals. At all. I had to partake in several in order to get a passing grade, and every one of them was horrible.
2. I like theater, but I don't like being in theater. Building sets and helping out backstage are great fun, but when it comes to opening night I want to be in the audience (in the middle of the 3rd row, by personal preference).
3. I hate politics. It seems that everything from school to religion to the fine arts always devolves into political struggles. My sister and I dropped out of theater simply because we didn't want to have to sleep with someone just to be able to get a decent part... xp

Just last week, we went to the Medeval Dinner and Tourny, which is like watching a performance on a vast stage.
But we try to go to what we can, when we can afford it around here.
We even settle for children's plays, having enjoyed them as children ourselves.
