So... I was talking with Hypno about how, in Casltevania, you find food in the most odd places. I said something along the lines of, "The Belmont Clan: Vampire Killers, Candle Extinguishers, Food Thieves."
So what jobs do you think Castlevania characters/monsters would moonlight as?

I think they'd be protectors of villages and such. or rather leaders of sorts. Much isn't explained in the CV world so....no real idea XD

I'm not sure about the Belmonts, but Hector must be a demolisher. He's managed to break several walls (the usual routine stuff), collapsed the roof in the Abandoned Castle, and completely obliterating some poor hapless mechanism - not to mention catapaulting it through the wall. He is a disaster that IS happening.

Ah yes, I remember that talk we had K. Nice to see you started a thread about this.
You know, I think some Belmonts should have learned how to freaking swim before taking on the challenge of defeating Dracula. lol I can't help but wonder what some characters would be if they hadn't had to deal with Dracula and his minion horde. Don't you guys? Like for example? Would Carrie, Maria or even Charlotte be spell casters if they had a choice of doing something else? Would Carrie be a great chef? Could Maria end up as a working girl in an office building? Oh, the possibilities... rofl

You know.. I've always wondered. You know how there's that librarian in SotN? I could picture some of the Belmonts being librarians for some reason.... har har.. like it they were retired from vampire killing...

I am guessing Belmont's don't know how to swim since they are dhamphirs (if them being related to Alucard is still canon) so that means the part of them that is vampire hates water so water would just freaking kill them confused Water hurts vampires plus they needed to give players a bit of a challenge back then. Remember games were 50+ bucks in the 80s and 90s gotta make it worth that much, nowadays they come as low as 10 bucks so they can make less challenges cause either way companies got their 10 bucks out of you rofl

Now, games are like 50-70 US$. Back then, I think they were 15-20 US$. As the gaming systems become more "capable", gaming development demands more people. I mean, just *try* to make a game like the old NES or GB ones. It's hard!
As for other professions, I think they'd be bounty hunters. Seriously.

Y'know, I bet Maria would be some sort of animal specialist, what with the doves and the owl. "Bird Whisperer" or something. And maybe there rest could be phone Psychics or something? Ghost Hunters? "Crossing Over"?

Maria would probably be admitted into therapy for training killer doves. A psychic hotline? I dunno. I don't think anyone's psychic. They'd probably organize some sort of cult, like Oprah did. Or go into therapy.

Juste Belmont would be the winner of Project Runway. Or a celebrated indoor decorator on one of them Women network channels. Or start his own queer eye for the straight guy show thing.
In other words he'd be rich for his latent homosexual talents.

Priceless, Soma. That is perfectly hilarious! Though undeniable.
And very true about Maria, SoraMee. Seriously, I was immensely shocked the first time I saw her piff these flying white birds at my enemies. There is something wrong with a person like that. This is taking fighting for animal rights to a whole new extreme.

Fighting for animal rights? Ha-ha! Good one Alderix! lol
I was also thinking that a member of this guild who hasn't come by much lately, believes that vampires shouldn't be affected by water or running water in the slightest (unless it's ritually blessed). Since she believes vampires are not undead but, they're actually demons from another realm. I was also wondering if Alucard could have (and hold) any of the jobs that are not related to fighting of any kind. According to the story of Aria & Dawn, he eventually got into some sort of secret service, like the CIA for example. I certainly can't imagine him starting out as a hot dog vendor. However, with all the food he managed to acquire during SotN, he could start his own restaurant, he-he. mrgreen
