Why hello there, TLA. I've been a little patchy in my posting as of late, but that's because I'm currently trying to find a job so I can move out in September. I'm unflinchingly independent like that.
Speaking of being independent, this topic is about embarking on personal projects. This could mean questing for an item on Gaia, building a scale model of Optimus Prime out of misshapen jelly beans, or simply trying to reach a set goal.
At the moment, I've taken it upon myself to flex my artistic muscles (after just popping out of a rut) in the form of a series of X-Men fan art. Of course, this sort of thing is untrodden terrain for me, seeing as these will be the first FULLY DIGITAL pieces I've ever done, and most of the characters being ones I've never even attempted drawing before.
The gimmick is that I'm doing one character for every color of the rainbow (just bear with me), including pink because Gambit is a woman like that. I'm going to try to finish the series by the end of the month (and possibly start on The Avengers in August), and this is the current line up:
RED- Wolverine
PINK- Gambit
VIOLET- Nightcrawler
BLUE- Storm
GREEN- Rogue
YELLOW- Archangel
ORANGE- Phoenix
I've already finished Wolverine and Gambit, and I'll be working on the inking of the Nightcrawler picture later today. Here are the first two, just in case you were interested:

In summary, I'm a big geek and I like to set goals for myself to pass the time and stroke my ego.

Well, lately I've had a nag for role playing.
Have you ever wandered Barton Neighbor hood and see all those super long Advanced Literate role players?
Well, if you have, you will soon see me there in that category as well!

Only because I plan on stealing that million dollar check!
If it weren't for that, I'd say Gambit is the SHEETZ!

Wow, very, very nice! (I'm jealous of your skillz)
I don't do personal projects. I find that I fail in making goals and/or achieving at them.
I'll give it a shot though. My goal is... to clean my room. For some reason it's always messy. Perhaps I have too many clothes...maybe I can donate some of my stuff to charity!
Ooh! I think I just formed my personal project. BWahahHA! lol

Holy crap.... eek Methinks you could even draw comics for a living with that kind of skill!
As for projects... I don't really think of things in terms of projects because they tend to span for way too long. For example, I've been swimming since I was a kid so now I'm just taking it a bit further by trying to get lifeguard certification. Just movin' on up slowly and leisurely, really. cool
