What do you guys expect to see in the future metal gear game

Well, I know what NOT to expect: Kojima
Whatever happens, if the next Metal Gear sucks, I'll just ignore its existence. Kojima's story has concluded. That's good enough for me.
If the next MG happens to be good, well, guess I'll just pursue it. I'm hoping it'll be a whole alternate storyline. A whole different universe, with different characters. Starting the saga over, so to speak.

Yes, I agree. Kojima wasn't supposed to have much to do with MGS4 and just kind of be supervising, however the people he put in charge had trouble rapping it all up. He made the story to complicated and all with so many twists pretty much only he could end it.
Starting a new storyline for the MG series would be best considering it's way easier to work with. Also, a cameo of some of old characters in the new MG game would be cool too.

Well, maybe re-envisioning of those characters.
I really wouldn't want the next MG game to be a sequel to MGS4, because at the rate MGS was going, they're soon gonna be living on Space Stations and carry laser guns. I don't want them to go TOO far into the future.

And yes, like KAV said, Kojima stated that MGS4 will be the last MGS game he'll be working on.

I mean, it's like saying, "Okay, I quit. I'll let someone else take over and make the next one." And then that person takes over and says, "So... How should I make it?"
It's kinda counterproductive. Frankly, I'd rather see Kojima do what he said he'd do: Work on a new franchise, or produce a game for an already existing franchise that he did not create. It would be really interesting to see Kojima produce a game for a nalready existing franchise, and see the Kojima influences in that particular game.

It would be really interesting to see Kojima produce a game for a nalready existing franchise, and see the Kojima influences in that particular game. Splinter Cell? xd He'd more than likely prefer have a guy ask him something like "Should I make this guy a clone?" or "Should I have him work for the [Name of group like The Patriots]?" Than to watch the game he created become a generic shooter with John Rambo on steroids shooting Johnny in the balls. And Splinter Cell is doomed to what it is.....
