Howdy, folks. My name's Konguetied. It's actually a nickname my sister gave me last summer. The whole nickname is relatively similar to the name of the singer KT Tunstall, hence the siliness of it. My full name is Katelyn (but I actually go by KT now). I am on the far right, in the green T-shirt and suspenders. Yes, I wear suspenders on occasion. And cowboy shirts. I live in Minnesota, home of the Hot Dish!! mrgreen I'm 15, and I live with my parents and wonderful big sister Ellie.
I read Harry Potter for the first time in fifth grade. I was and still am REALLY into reading, and I am to this day convinced I had read every single book in my house except for Harry Potter 1-4 that we had sitting around. My mom had tried to read them to me and my sister when we were little, but I don't do well with books unless reading it myself, so my first thoughts were "This is stupid. I don't get it. This is so stupid. I'm never reading these dumb books EVER."
Then I read "Dumb, stupid, boring." Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. And then I fell in love.
After my love affair with the Chamber of Secrets, I read the entire first four books in order (I think I read CoS first because it was the only I could find at the moment). I believe that was also why I became a Harry/Hermione shipper. I read the part where Hermione was Petrified, and thought that Harry had a crush on her. It was so cuuuuute! Harry/Hermione is my personal canon! As well as the Lupins being alive!
Unfortunately, the fifth book was not out yet, so I had to settle myself with re-reading the first four installments over and over and over again, which apparently wasn't good. You see, in my school we took these reading tests on the computer, and you can't take one book test more than once. You rack up a certain number of points from these tests, and a certain number of points were required each month. As I had already taken each of the Harry Potter tests, I was falling a bit behind. Then, when I was rereading Goblet of Fire again, I told my parents I was almost done with it while I had only just started it a few hours ago. They got so upset (because of my lack of AR points) they took away all of my books until I read something else for a while.
I have calmed down a bit since then, but my love for Harry Potter has not lessened in the least! It just gets a bit dull to read nothing but HP over and over.
I have had a love for Roleplaying since I joined Gaia in October of 2006, and I've written (albeit bad) fanfiction before that. I am a Trusted Author on harrypotterfanfiction.com, something I am immensely proud of. I feel that I really have come a long way since writing my sniveling little (Mary-Sue) Hermione fics, since then writing a novel-sized fanfiction, one short story, and several one-shots, not to mention with two Novellas and a short story in the works as of today.
My very favorite guild would have to be this one, as it is the most active lately and it's just so organized! None of my other guilds are this organized and cool!! My favorite Era in this guild would be the Marauder Era, because one of my very good friends Ignoramous Pie runs it, and we RP together very well! Her portrayal of Sirius Black is completely priceless, and I adore being Remus Lupin and my OC Marketa Prochazka.
Speaking of cute Czech girls, my character Marketa was inspired by Marketa Irglova, from the movie at the link. IT IS THE BEST MOVIE EVAH! YOU MUST SEE IT! And, not only is the movie good, but Mar partnered up with Glen Hansard, her co-star, and they made a phenominal band!! *happysquee*
