I've been a christian ever since i was 7. I love God very much, but there are things i dont understand. I've asked God into my heart, i believe Jesus died for my sins and rose from the grave. I believe that if you sin, you ask forgivness, but your not supost to go around sinning just caus you can and you can ask forgivness later. I believe you must try your hardest not to sin, and most of the time you dont even want to sin, but we are tempted. But we all mess up. When we do, we dust ourselves off, ask for forgivness and try again. I know all of that. But something scares me. A couple months ago, i got caught up into a rought addiction. It lasted several months, about 8. I had an issue with cutting. (i've been clean for about 4 months now =) ) but its still hard. But i have a question. If you are a christian and you cut, will you go to hell? Yes, its a sin and you know your sinning...but if you just give up and stop trying. Still pray to God, still try your best not to sin, but if you continue to cut, will you go to hell? A friend of mine said that if you sin knowing your sinning and keep on doing it, you'll go to hell. Idk what to think. theres truth to it. i know you cant just sin caus you know God will forgive you later. But something thats hard to put down, like cutting, or drugs and all of that. If your a christian and cut, will you go to hell? I'm scared. i'm not cutting anymore, so thats not why i'm scared, but i'm scared because all i can see now is God throwing people in hell. i'm SCARED. Why would God throw a christian in hell because they cut? its the same as smoking, your harming your body, but i dont believe God would send someone who smokes to hell. I'm very confussed. can someone please tell me?

If i continued though, would God send me to hell for that? how is that fair? I dont believe that God would send a smoker to hell. but a sin is a sin, how does that separate the fact that its a SIN. i mean the bible says that all sins are equal correct? so if i cut its just like cussing, lying, killing ext. so, why wouldnt God send me to hell..

I cant see that anymore though. I believe in God, and He's in my heart, but everytime i get to thinking too much, i get scared of him. I just see him as a condeming God. like idk.

God loves you. You have accepted Him into your heart, and that is the most important thing. If you are saved, there is nothing that can take that away from you. Take a look at Romans 8:38-39:



Nothing will ever take you away from being a child of God, adopted into His family through the blood of Jesus Christ. Unless you outright deny and blaspheme against the Spirit, your salvation and your place by Jesus' side in Heaven is secure. Your name has been written into His book of life, and it is there for eternity. When Satan comes and tempts you into thinking that God doesn't want you, that He would rather send you to Hell than have you, you rebuke him in the name of our King, and you remind the Enemy that Jesus wanted you so bad that He died so He could have you with Him. You tell the Enemy that if he wants you that badly, he'll have to do the same. I guarantee he won't.
